Florida Panthers History

The Florida Panthers began play in the NHL in the 1993-1994 season. The team won the Presidents Trophy for the 2021–2022 season, earning the most points during the regular season. The Panthers then reached the Stanley Cup Final in the 2023-2023 season, though they lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4.

However, victory was theirs next season, when the Panthers won their first Stanley Cup in the franchise’s history. The 2024 Stanley Cup Final was a thrilling seven-game series, which saw Florida win 2-1 at their home venue of Amerant Bank Arena. In 2025, the Panthers clinched their second consecutive Stanley Cup title, locking in back-to-back NHL championships.

Very well planned, they made me feel welcome the very gate all the way to where my party was waiting for me.

  • BB&T Center ..... disappointing

by Carl on 12/11/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 2 out of 5

After visiting a good part of the NHL rink, coming in at the BB&T Center and being told that I can't bring in my sign with a message for a player...... very disappointing !!!! I'm being told that my sign is to big !!! Last time I step in that Arena. Thank you !!!

by DeniDuell on 11/19/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

Very nice surprise to have a ticket on our seat indicating that we had won a prize. My husband was so excited and ran down to receive a Florida Panther hat. Had so much fun that we booked another game while at this one. Great vacation and so much fun seeing great hockey. Panthers hockey was awesome!

  • Half and half

    by D. P. on 11/19/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 3 out of 5

The NY Rangers vs Fla Panthers was not the exception to the usual seen in South Florida sports. In the stands, seemingly half were NY fans and the other half were Fla fans. Good game, poor atmosphere for the local team and average food options.

  • Club Lexus Overrated

    by J. W. on 11/19/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 3 out of 5

Hot dogs were the only available kids food. Sushi was dry. Steak was chewy. Roasted vegetables were cold. The food overall was sub par, low quality.

  • Fun was had by all!

    by S. W. on 11/19/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

Got to rink during warmups and got to see the stars up close. Game was a seesaw battle won by the home team. Kids went home happy.

  • Out of town fan

by The Rats on 11/17/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

Always worried when going to a rink and cheering for the visitors but more jets fans than panthers fans but everyone was nice! Good game! Loved the number of ladies washrooms!! Booze was quite expensive though...especially since it normally cheap in the US.

  • Ushers

    by l. on 10/25/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 3 out of 5

I count only 6-7 Ushers in the 300 level. Game interrupted for 3 periods again.

  • FLORIDA PANTHERS HOCKEY

    by R.D. on 10/21/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

Easy ticket purchase, and a great game!! Great overall experience!

  • Paying for parking

    by C. S. on 10/8/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 3 out of 5

I bought lower goal zone premier tickets, which indicated that there was a fee for traffic and parking included. When I get to the BB&T center, the parking attendant scans my ticket and tells me that parking is not included and I have to pay $20 for general parking. I paid the $20 because the hockey game was about to begin and I didn’t want to miss anything, but I wasn’t too happy about the parking fee discrepancy.

  • Fun

  • Home opener

by Billy on 10/8/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

Panthers home opener had a playoff feel from start to finish! Game was amazing! From the light up bracelets everyone got that lit up entire arena to final horn the gama was great! Only downside was no souvenir cups still so you had to keep buying soda rather than paying for 1 soda and refilling 1 cool cup you can keep.

  • Lord Stanley’s Loft

by Stu on 10/8/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

Great time, great home opener, great start to Coach Q’s reign in South Florida. Lord Stanley’s is the place to watch a home game. Food is good, food is plentiful, and the staff up there are the best.
