Florence and the Machine in Concert
There’s a reason why South London musicians Florence Welch and Isabella “The Machine” Summers, a.k.a. Florence and the Machine, have filled stadiums, amphitheaters, and concert halls worldwide to max capacity. Ask any fan and they’ll tell you that their lush, genre-defying indie art rock sounds even better live than on their multi award-winning studio albums. Indeed, their reputation for putting on phenomenal shows has fans eagerly anticipating tour dates and pouncing on tickets as soon as they’re available. Why such devotion? Florence’s energetic, fiery stage presence matches her signature crimson tresses, adding that much more drama to such orchestral gems as “Cosmic Love,” “Dog Days Are Over,” “No Light, No Light,” “Rabbit Heart (Raise it Up)”—just to name a few. What’s more, their artful, literary lyrics, soaring vocals, and theatrical concerts have caused critics to draw comparisons to Kate Bush and Siouxsie and the Banshees. However, despite their old school appeal, their style is fresh enough to attract fans of Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Beyoncé (who also counts herself as a hug Florence fan).

Florence is like an ethereal being on stage. She consistently have beautiful sets and always runs into the audience at least once during her performance. I don't know how she jumps around the whole set and sings but it's really something to see. If you like her I recommend going to see her live, it's always a good time.
I saw Florence and The Machine for the first time at The Hollywood Bowl on Friday with a few friends. It was witnessing greatness in motion. Florence is a remarkably talented performer. Her voice is so strong and commanding, and there is a magic that exudes from the stage in a manner that I can only compare to seeing Bono/U2 or Peter Gabriel when I was much younger. Multiple times during the show she walked off stage, pushed her face into the face of a fan, and sang, she brought every ounce of her being to the performance. It was so real and authentic I still feel the feels of the show days later. I love live music, it fills my soul when I’m hit with a great live show. There was something really remarkable and magical about Florence and the Machine… if you like a few of her songs, make an effort to get to her next show, she’s going to be remembered as one of the greats, and her superpowers are evident when in her presence.
Everything about the artist and venue was fantastic!
We first had dinner at The Backyard located onsite at the Hollywood Bowl. Such a wonderful experience. We could hear the opening acts as we enjoyed our dining experience. Then, Florence + the Machine provided us one of our best live music experiences!!! Her passion and honesty flow through her and into the audience. This was my second time seeing her and will do so again.
the crowd was. uproarious and the fun was palpable!!!
Beautiful night easy parking great seats amazing entertainer
One of the most dynamic shows I’ve ever been to. Florence takes the stage and almost never stops moving throughout the entire performance. Her voice hasn’t lost its power, if anything it seemed stronger. She empties everything she has into her art and it shows. Would love to see her again.
Love Florence so so much!! I went to a different world! Her voice is magical. She just opens her mouth and this beautiful powerful voice flows out with uniqueness and transcendence! I would love to see her in a more intimate venue. The other openers were so very good. The second one was like a whole concert in and of itself which made it a looooooong night. Also our bus broke down 1/2 way to the parking lot. We walked 20min at 11pm to get to our cars. That was not fun. I hate that we have to purchase alcohol at Hollywood Bowl. Soooo over priced!! You all know about inflation right? Anyone and everyone needs to see Florence and the Machine!! You will be surrounded by awe and love!
I and a group of friends saw F+TM this weekend at the Hollywood Bowl. For me, this was my fourth time seeing her there, and she only gets better with every tour. For my friends, who each only knew a few songs, this may have been one of the best concerts they’ve attended. Florence commands her audience like an ethereal woodland goddess. When she says move, they move. When she says, “put your f***ing phone away”, they put their phones away. When she says to hold your phones up and shine a beacon, the entire venue sparkles like a scene from Lord of the Rings. Even if you are only kind of familiar with her music, you will absolutely enjoy yourself.
Florence has a way of brining people together, her voice is an experience and her heart is pure gold. She was never still, constantly running or jumping around. It’s an experience I will never forget!
I had a great seat last minute. The band and her sounded sooo good. She brought all the energies and dancing and twirling. Definitely highly recommend seeing her to everyone
Once again, F+TM performance was perfection. Florence Welch is a once in a lifetime artist, songwriter, vocalist, dancer whose shows never fail to transport me somewhere else from wherever I’m at.
The most memorable and mesmerizing performance I’ve seen on stage ever. She has never disappointed but this performance met and exceeded any expectation I had. Thank you Florence for being the light ✨ I genuinely adore you
The energy and love she puts into her set is unbelievable. You can tell she is singing live and it sounds just as amazing as her recorded music. I have no regrets going to see Florence and the Machine.
Such an amazing show. Sounds so great live and Florence's energy and voice are so powerful, it is a spiritual uplifting experience! The talent is just insane. Love her and her band!!!
Florence +the machine continue to amaze me. Such grace. Such talent. She grabs the crowd and takes them along for a magical journey. I’ll go again, and again, and again. Congratulations to Hope Tala and Griff for two outstanding opening performances! I can’t wait to see more!
She never disappoints, her music, her concerts have always been a great experience.
Wow. Florence knows how to entertain. The entire experience was utterly surreal - from the first song to the encore. I could not be more grateful to have attended this show.
She is an amazing performer and the entire place was filled with love and positive energy! A truly magical experience!
