Florence and the Machine in Concert
There’s a reason why South London musicians Florence Welch and Isabella “The Machine” Summers, a.k.a. Florence and the Machine, have filled stadiums, amphitheaters, and concert halls worldwide to max capacity. Ask any fan and they’ll tell you that their lush, genre-defying indie art rock sounds even better live than on their multi award-winning studio albums. Indeed, their reputation for putting on phenomenal shows has fans eagerly anticipating tour dates and pouncing on tickets as soon as they’re available. Why such devotion? Florence’s energetic, fiery stage presence matches her signature crimson tresses, adding that much more drama to such orchestral gems as “Cosmic Love,” “Dog Days Are Over,” “No Light, No Light,” “Rabbit Heart (Raise it Up)”—just to name a few. What’s more, their artful, literary lyrics, soaring vocals, and theatrical concerts have caused critics to draw comparisons to Kate Bush and Siouxsie and the Banshees. However, despite their old school appeal, their style is fresh enough to attract fans of Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Beyoncé (who also counts herself as a hug Florence fan).
Florence & The Machine.... You never disappoint! This was one of the best shows ever! I absolutely enjoyed every minute of the experience!
Best concert ever, hands down would go again 10 more times if I could! the arena was quick to get into and out, the staff were super helpful and kind, one side remark is just don't bring a purse if you do make sure its super small.
Florence brought us back to life after the pandemic. She restored my faith inthis world.
Loved every minute of it, cannot wait to attend another one of her concerts again! She started on time and the venue was great as well.
Nothing short of epic! Will remember this concert forever!! What a performance, what a presence! Truly a king
Florence was great as always. My only problem was there were two people who stole their seats from others and decided to force people to move down so that the people who paid for seats and were sitting in their assigned seats had to alter their seats. That is not fair. Hollywood Bowl do better! I paid for my seat I should be able to enjoy the show with my the seat I paid for. And getting a ride-share to leave the Bowl was a nightmare. The best thing about the experience was Florence and the bar. Next time I will upgrade my ticket to VIP so I won’t have to deal with uncivilized people.
She’s my favorite. Flo can do nothing wrong. I named my daughter after her 🫶🏼
I’ve been to many concerts, and Florence and The Machine were by far one of the best experiences I ever had. The band sounded amazing and Florence performed like it was her last time and the world was watching. Her crowd engagement, stage set and outfit were unbelievable. She ran through the crowd and made it seem like she was singing to every single person in that stadium the whole night. I was so sore from dancing but I was ready to do it all night. I can’t wait to see her again. She put her heart and souls on that stage. Such an amazing experience.
Okay, Florence is fantastic live! I went to the October 14th concert at the Hollywood bowl - which was the first time I had been. I paid around $200 for my ticket, but found it 100% worth it. I sat towards the side front and it was the perfect distance for the price. Overall, I would do it again and eventually hope to :)
I was lucky enough to be in the pit for this show and all I can say is I WOULD DO IT AGAIN!!! Such an amazing performance🖤
I was so excited to see all three acts, however the video feed for the openers was not great. The camera was static on the lead singer and did not cut away, even through introducing the band members. I love Wet Leg and wanted to take it all in, but being in section Q (2nd to last section) meant I couldn't get the full experience and the camera feed was not helping. Then the power went out at exactly the moment Florence (headliner) was going to come on. This delayed the performance for another 30 minutes. She was amazing and the camera was actually great during her performance, moving and following her around. It was an amazing concert, but i'm disappointed she was not allowed to do her full two hour set, since she ended right at 11. In the end, loved every minute of F+tM performance but will think twice about choosing this venue.
Florence is Fabulous in every way! What a voice and dancing beauty!! And Very Kind-hearted she is.
Florence + the Machine knows how to fill the Bowl. Florence has the pipes and the charisma and was an incredibly generous performer. I still wish the Bowl would fix its terrible sound system, and the power outage before the show was a bit alarming, but overall this was a great night in 2022.
This show was amazing. Specially Florence's voice and her energy. The only thing was that due to the power outage, three songs were removed from the setlist. I know it was nobody's fault but we the fans ended up paying for it with a shorter show.
Loved it, even the opening acts were great. Her voice is amazing and she really puts on an energetic show that everyone can fully enjoy.
Power went out at top of show and it rained part of the time. Haven't seen her before so not sure how it impacted her performance, but she was great. I do kind of wonder if she's even more amazing without all the distractions
It was my third time seeing Florence and the Machine live. Unfortunately, there was no Houston date this time around, but I had no issue driving to the Austin show because from prior experience, I knew Florence would put on an amazing performance...and I was right. The only thing is that next time, I want to be in the general admission area!
I did not know what to expect as I had never been to one of her concerts but man when I tell you i wanted to cry!!! At one point she ran off the stage and towards the crowd and into our section! Not only did it start drizzling as she sang to the crowd but once she left the rain stopped! It was truly amazing & magical! True voice of an angel would def go to another one of her concerts!!!
Her performance was earthly and heavenly perfection. Her purple dress with daffodils was visually stunning. The power outage on Saturday was shocking and unexpected. The concert resumed thankfully. Towards the end Florence was singing in the rain and that was magic beyond human understanding.
Florence was fantastic, as always! But my first trip to the bowl since before 2020 left a lot to be desired. There was a power outage which delayed Florence by 30+ minutes, and with the bowl’s 11pm curfew, it means we were shorted that time of the show. When the power did resume the screens at the bowl were wonky, which was such a bummer! Florence slayed though.
