About

FLEETWOOD MAC IN CONCERT:

The Rumours are true: Fleetwood Mac will be joined by Christine McVie for their 2014 world tour, and the band is just as excited about it as their fans. McVie left the band for personal reasons back in 1998, making the Mac's subsequent touring somewhat of a bittersweet experience for concertgoers. Bittersweet no more, however — fans lucky enough to score a ticket to Fleetwood Mac's 2014 On With the Show tour will get to experience McVie classics like "Everywhere" and "Little Lies" alongside Fleetwood Mac staples like "Dreams" and "Rhiannon," marking the first time in nearly 20 years the band's classic lineup has toured together.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Legendary British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac was formed in 1967 by Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood. After moderate success as a no-frills blues band in the late '60s, the group underwent a turbulent period marked by lineup changes and lawsuits in the early '70s. With the additions of Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks by 1975, the band entered their most successful period, riding to both critical and commercial acclaim with a string of No. 1 albums including Rumours (1977) and Mirage (1982). The group's chemistry both in and out of the studio resulted in some of the era's most enduring hits, and the continued popularity of songs like "Dreams," "Gypsy," and "Sara," have made them one of the top-selling acts of all time. Following Christine McVie's departure in 1998, the band continued to tour with a scaled-down lineup, thrilling fans in 2014 with the announcement of McVie's return for their On With the Show tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"This was the best concert that I have seen in years. They can still rock the house. Stevie Nicks still has a fantastic voice. Lindsey's guitar playing was out of this world."

"Stevie hasn't sounded this flawless in almost 20 years. Just absolutely awesome. GREAT energy by everybody in the band. The chemistry was excellent and I think the band had as good of a time as the audience."

"Extremely enjoyable----the band is absolutely PROFESSIONAL---onstage for 2 1/2+ hours and appearing to enjoy every minute. Their sound is magnificent----unbelievable for 40 years in the business!!"

  • Mom and Daughter date-unforgettable !

    by MelBeth199990 on 4/13/16Dunkin Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

I took my mother to see Fleetwood Mac last year for a christmas present in providence at the Dunkin Donuts center. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed every moment of it and the way the entire band was truly engaged with the audience-I hope and pray that they will go on tour once more- I know my mother and I will be right up front if they do!

The performers were great but the show was cut short due to band member's illness. We had traveled out of town to see the show and had to pay hotel expenses so it was disappointing to have it cut short.

  • Fleetwood even better with Christine back

by rocknrolllllll on 6/7/15Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

The show was very good. I thought Lyndsey Buckingham had so much energy. They appeared to really be enjoying having the original group back together. We we're disappointed they did not play Seven Wonders, which they had for most of the tour. I also wish they would play some deeper cuts. The people around us continually we're getting up, which took away from the overall experience.

Definitely worth catching, show was incredible, and there might not be many more opportunities to catch the entire band performing in the future.

What more can I say. They said they would come back. What I heard was great.

Wow. Just wow. Fleetwood Mac is just incredible, and it was awesome to see the band back together. Stevie is amazing, Christine is wonderful and Lindsey Buckingham- indescribable.

  • Fleetwood Mac was amazing

    by Daffy813 on 5/3/15AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

The band was great but the acoustic in the 300 level was not the best but seeing the original band together made it all worth it.

by ThDewd on 4/26/15Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

Fleetwood Mac put on a great performance and to top it off was Christie McVie being back with them! The only poor thing about the entire show is the acoustics inside Chesapeake Arena! Very poor!!!

Fleetwood Mac is a great performance as always. Even more memorable now with the entire band back together.

  • Fleetwood Mac lame in OKC

by gottalovemymusic on 4/22/15Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 2 out of 5

Well, I paid a premium price for side stage seats (1st row up) and what a disappointment. Not one time did any band member even acknowledge stage left or right. No screens were visible. Sound was poor quality. Worst concert I can remember. So glad I did not but a t shirt.

  • Fleetwood Mac show

by Chemist44 on 4/22/15Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great overall. The sound mixing was awful. Too much bass and drums. Person on mixing board should be fired. The best songs were the acoustic ones and when Mick Fleetwood was on small drum set. I can't believe they played so long though. The group itself was amazing.

  • Fleetwood Mack Sound could have been better

by MudSlideslim on 4/21/15Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 3 out of 5

we were seated to the side of the stage, I believe no thought was put into what the sound would be like there. I am sure it was much better infant of the stage. I don't think tickets should be sold to the sides of the stage if effort is not going to be put into making the sound of any quality there.

  • Best ever in 45 years

by clayflyr on 4/21/15Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I were reviewing the Fleetwood Mac "rescheduled concert" from Fri Apr 17, 2015. We reviewed every concert we had attended since high school 45 years ago. Chicago, Jethro Tull, Fleetwood Mac from 1976, Three Dog Night, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Styx, K C & the Sunshine band, the list goes on and one. We have a diverse taste. But there was NONE more satisfying than this concert - would love to have heard Christine sing songbird, though. The song choices, the simplicity of just artists on the stage singing and playing their souls out left us sitting in amazement. Nearly three hours of the greatest music of all times. We, as a couple, will remember this for the rest of our days. All other concerts now have a giant gap to achieve more than this one event. Mick's effortless efficient drums, John's driving bluesy bass, Lindsey's emotion filled guitar work, Christine's "Perfect" melodies and Stevie's surreal lyrics mesh once again, yet better than any other time I remember.

  • Fleetwood Mac was great!

by svh1katt on 4/21/15Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

Everyone in the band were on, and very good. I saw them a few years back without Kristine Mcvee and it was really good, but with her back the band was complete. It was a great night for some Fleetwood Mac!

  • Fleetwood Mac still has it!

by inkspot999 on 4/21/15Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

After being away for so many years, Fleetwood Mac still has the ability to set aside their differences and put on an awesome show. Their voices still blend as magically as ever. They still rock!
