About

FLEETWOOD MAC IN CONCERT:

The Rumours are true: Fleetwood Mac will be joined by Christine McVie for their 2014 world tour, and the band is just as excited about it as their fans. McVie left the band for personal reasons back in 1998, making the Mac's subsequent touring somewhat of a bittersweet experience for concertgoers. Bittersweet no more, however — fans lucky enough to score a ticket to Fleetwood Mac's 2014 On With the Show tour will get to experience McVie classics like "Everywhere" and "Little Lies" alongside Fleetwood Mac staples like "Dreams" and "Rhiannon," marking the first time in nearly 20 years the band's classic lineup has toured together.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Legendary British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac was formed in 1967 by Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood. After moderate success as a no-frills blues band in the late '60s, the group underwent a turbulent period marked by lineup changes and lawsuits in the early '70s. With the additions of Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks by 1975, the band entered their most successful period, riding to both critical and commercial acclaim with a string of No. 1 albums including Rumours (1977) and Mirage (1982). The group's chemistry both in and out of the studio resulted in some of the era's most enduring hits, and the continued popularity of songs like "Dreams," "Gypsy," and "Sara," have made them one of the top-selling acts of all time. Following Christine McVie's departure in 1998, the band continued to tour with a scaled-down lineup, thrilling fans in 2014 with the announcement of McVie's return for their On With the Show tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"This was the best concert that I have seen in years. They can still rock the house. Stevie Nicks still has a fantastic voice. Lindsey's guitar playing was out of this world."

"Stevie hasn't sounded this flawless in almost 20 years. Just absolutely awesome. GREAT energy by everybody in the band. The chemistry was excellent and I think the band had as good of a time as the audience."

"Extremely enjoyable----the band is absolutely PROFESSIONAL---onstage for 2 1/2+ hours and appearing to enjoy every minute. Their sound is magnificent----unbelievable for 40 years in the business!!"

  • Wouldn’t have missed it for the world!

    by Mstewart202 on 10/6/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

This was everything I thought it would be and more. Neil Finn added a Crowded House song and Mike Campbell was great and and added his own background and spirit! The”core” of Fleetwood Mac was as intact as ever. Their talents and voices were as you expect on any record -But Live! There was some sound blending issues with 1 song Everwhere in which Neil’s microphone was louder than Stevie or Christine but at the inaugural concert you expect those things. This is a not miss event. I’m trying to get tickets at another venue!

  • Good Fleetwood Mac show

by AmericanRoamer on 10/6/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 4 out of 5

Good show. Liked the older tunes they played from the pre-Stevie Nicks period. Loved the Tom Petty tribute, thought Free Fallin was the best song of the night.

  • An Evening With Fleetwood Mac

by Dorsai on 10/6/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

Fleetwood Mac kicked off there new lineup tour in Tulsa. My worries that this new line up would not be as talented was totally wrong. The new members enhanced the sound and brought new abilities. The members of the group looked comfortably ready for this tour and sounded fantastic.

They were amazing, as usual!! I love their music and never miss an opportunity to see them live!

  • First on their tour.

    by mac418 on 10/6/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

They sure put on a great show and the addition of Mike Campbell, from Tom Petty’s as a guitarist and Neil Finn doing some solos, you wouldn’t have missed Lindsey Buckingham. Mick Fleetwood can tear up those drums.

My best friend and I had a great night at this concert. Such a fun and memorable evening that took us back to the music of our high school years.

  • Fleetwood Mac Awesome. BOK not so much.

    by graceofgod5 on 10/6/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 4 out of 5

Fleetwood was amazing! Mind blown! I just don’t even have words. I’m really glad I saw them. The trouble was with the venue. The accoustics were awful. I couldn’t hear what the artists were saying because of a reverb or echo or whatever it was. I really would have liked to have heard everything clearer. It really was a disservice to the artists who were simply amazing.

  • Fleetwood Mac Bait and Switch

by OUHerb on 10/6/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 2 out of 5

I thought the musician who replaced Lindsey Buckingham was good enough but they played a shockingly low percentage of Fleetwood Mac songs. I assume that is because Lindsey Buckingham owns the rights to the songs that he composed and he is not willing to share with his former band mates. It made it strange that they played a whole bunch of songs from other musicians. It just seemed like filler to me. My wife had seen them before and she was sorely disappointed this time.

  • fleetwood mac concert

by DaveWack on 10/6/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 1 out of 5

Quality of show poor. More unknown music by backup members than by group. Also the screen behind the performers was always showing horses, oceans, clouds and not close ups of the performers. Definitely not a quality performance!!

  • Fleetwood Mac revisited

    by Keith1977 on 10/6/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

Have seen this band many times over the years. Didn't know what to expect without Lindsey. Neil and Mike did a good job, show was different, but enjoyable. Chemistry was different, but surprisingly enjoyable. Do like the way they added some really old songs from the catalouge

  • Another marked off my bucket list

by Garysgalintulsa on 10/6/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

Thanks for coming to Tulsa. RUMORS will forever be one of my favorites.

  • FLEETWOOD PUKES

by Bartholemew on 4/25/18Pinnacle Arena - OmahaRating: 1 out of 5

Yeah I was at that same show. The drummer got sick and puked all over the place ugh! It almost hit me, I was in the 2nd row orchestra, at a cost of $250.00 I might add. Then they say, sorry, we will make it up to you, and come back. Well I’m still waiting! I tried to get my money back, and they said no! So guess what, I ain’t going to see them on this tour. I’m taking the same money and going to a Phish concert. These guys are just in it for the money. If you have any thoughts about it, say something here, because I’m still disgusted about that concert!

  • Commenting on the Lincoln, NE 2015 Date

    by ColonelSanders2 on 12/7/17Pinnacle Bank Arena - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to see Fleetwood Mac several times and every time it's good. There is a review on here about this tour date that I want to comment on. I was in attendance. Mick Fleetwood got sick, and apparently really sick, to the point where he couldn't perform any more. I've been that sick before. To expect the guy to go out and vomit while doing his job, is ridiculous. I'm not sure how many bands keep a backup drummer on the staff, but that seems like one of those instruments where you don't just walk up and start playing sheet music for a rock band. The concert had to stop. At no point did anyone promise to provide a free concert to those that there were. I believe they said they'd make sure to make another stop in Lincoln, but not do it for free.

  • fleetwood mac in Lincoln was horrible

by shoresea on 8/17/17Pinnacle Bank Arena - LincolnRating: 1 out of 5

They promised to come back and play in LIncoln when they stopped performing after an hour due to MIck's illness. Stevie said they would come back and play and we would all get another show for free. . tt's been 2.5 years without a peep.from them.
