About

FLEETWOOD MAC IN CONCERT:

The Rumours are true: Fleetwood Mac will be joined by Christine McVie for their 2014 world tour, and the band is just as excited about it as their fans. McVie left the band for personal reasons back in 1998, making the Mac's subsequent touring somewhat of a bittersweet experience for concertgoers. Bittersweet no more, however — fans lucky enough to score a ticket to Fleetwood Mac's 2014 On With the Show tour will get to experience McVie classics like "Everywhere" and "Little Lies" alongside Fleetwood Mac staples like "Dreams" and "Rhiannon," marking the first time in nearly 20 years the band's classic lineup has toured together.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Legendary British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac was formed in 1967 by Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood. After moderate success as a no-frills blues band in the late '60s, the group underwent a turbulent period marked by lineup changes and lawsuits in the early '70s. With the additions of Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks by 1975, the band entered their most successful period, riding to both critical and commercial acclaim with a string of No. 1 albums including Rumours (1977) and Mirage (1982). The group's chemistry both in and out of the studio resulted in some of the era's most enduring hits, and the continued popularity of songs like "Dreams," "Gypsy," and "Sara," have made them one of the top-selling acts of all time. Following Christine McVie's departure in 1998, the band continued to tour with a scaled-down lineup, thrilling fans in 2014 with the announcement of McVie's return for their On With the Show tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"This was the best concert that I have seen in years. They can still rock the house. Stevie Nicks still has a fantastic voice. Lindsey's guitar playing was out of this world."

"Stevie hasn't sounded this flawless in almost 20 years. Just absolutely awesome. GREAT energy by everybody in the band. The chemistry was excellent and I think the band had as good of a time as the audience."

"Extremely enjoyable----the band is absolutely PROFESSIONAL---onstage for 2 1/2+ hours and appearing to enjoy every minute. Their sound is magnificent----unbelievable for 40 years in the business!!"

Absolutely amazing, bringing back some pre Buckingham Nicks songs to the set list sounded incredible overall

  • Side Stage

by Jennapog on 10/9/18United Center - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

The concert itself was good with great sound quality but our ‘side seats’ were actually slightly behind the stage so we had to watch the backs of their head for the evening!

I’ve seen Fleetwood Mac a number of times over the years, and this show was probably the most memorable. Loved hearing some of the older tunes that aren’t usually part of the set list.

Enjoyed there performance and there energy level! All played very well and would go see them again. Mike Campbell and Neil Finn were fantastic and added so much to the concert! I believe I prefer seeing them perform over Lindsey Buckingham, they brought a real energy and enthusiasm to the performance. Loved it! We're from Cincinnati but travel to Chicago to see them play! Well worth the trip.

Had a great time. Love the group and the reconstruction of the group.

  • Rocking to the Oldies

by ClaimsGuy on 10/9/18United Center - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

The old guys can still get it done. The stories were entertaining and the replacement band members were excellent choices. Maybe if the Queen movies is successful they can do a movie about FM. I’m sure the behind the scenes stories would be very entertaining.

  • Fleetwood Mac Never Dissapoints!

by RubyGeorge on 10/9/18United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

From their earliest hits like Oh Well and Black Magic Woman to Landslide and Don't Stop, Fleetwood Mac always puts on a captivating show that is a little bit different every tour. I never miss it!

  • Fleetwood Mac is awesome

I cannot say enough about how great this concert was. Stevie Nicks is still the queen, and they could not have made a better choice than to add Mike Campbell and Neil Finn. Buckingham’s absence was practically unnoticeable.

  • Love Fleetwood Mac

Fan since 1975 in high school. Their music transcends generations.

  • Some great music

by YooperC on 10/9/18United Center - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

When Fleetwood Mac sang their standard music the crowd went wild. When they played obscure songs folks headed to the concession. The seats were just ok. When I win the lottery I'm getting better seats.

  • A STUNNING performance by Fleetwood Mac!

by FleetwoodMacFanForLife on 10/8/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

My family and I were so impressed by Fleetwood Mac; they sounded so good! Mick is still a monster on the drums; he's every bit as good now as he was in the 70's. And their vocals were spot on too; I'm a longtime fan of both Mike Campbell and Neil Finn and they both were the perfect addition to the stage. Sincere congratulations on a phenomenal show and thank you for bringing it to Tulsa, OK!!

  • DO NOT MISS FLEETWOOD MAC

by JackieBlu on 10/8/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

I did not know what to expect of Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey Buckingham but Mike was from Tom Petty’s band and Neil from Crowded House I figured it would still be good. Well I was wrong they blew me away! Stevie, Christine, John, and Mick were just so awesome. They played all the hits very old and new with a few surprises like Santana’s Black Magic Woman and a Tom Petty tribute with photos while they played Free Falling made me cry as it was the anniversary of his death last year. Mick did a fantastic drum solo along with the bongo player. Christine McVie was wonderful. She and Stevie’s voices are strong they had a duet at the end of the show. I only wished she had sung Songbird but I’m not complaining. I can’t say enough good things there was no opening act and if your fan it’s a must. It was a treat to hear The Chain, Tell Me Lies, Hypnotized, Oh Well, Don’t Stop, Rhiannon, Landslide, Go Your Own Way, Gold Dust Woman, along with many more hits. The entire crowd was on their feet singing along . It was an evening to remember and I was so happy the played Tulsa as their first Show with the new band lineup.

  • Amazing Performance by Fleetwood Mac!

    by FleetwoodFan12345 on 10/8/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 3 out of 5

Fleetwood Mac sounded great, especially Stevie! The band still seems so youthful after all these years. The base and drums were a little too loud, which drowned out the lyrics on some songs. Some bands need to do this because they aren't that good live, but Fleetwood Mac sounds wonderful, so I do wish I could have heard the singing better over the base/drums. Amazing tribute to Tom Petty. This was possibly the highlight of the evening. What a beautiful cover of "Free Fallin." BOK workers were a disappointment. Concession lines did not move, and I finally gave up waiting and went to my seat when I heard the music start. Lot of sales revenue lost from the poor effort of the incompetent concession workers.

  • Stevie made the show!

    by TB5900 on 10/8/18BOK Center - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

Stevie was simply amazing. Her voice sounded better than ever! She looked great and sang with ease and with grit. Rest was mediocre at best. Not sure why you would focus on any male vocals when people came to hear Fleetwood Mac. New guys were borderline karaoke and were a waste of our money. Focus on songs people know sung by the originals. Drum solo was to die for!! He rocked! I would not go to another concert with this playlist and would not recommend.
