About

FLEETWOOD MAC IN CONCERT:

The Rumours are true: Fleetwood Mac will be joined by Christine McVie for their 2014 world tour, and the band is just as excited about it as their fans. McVie left the band for personal reasons back in 1998, making the Mac's subsequent touring somewhat of a bittersweet experience for concertgoers. Bittersweet no more, however — fans lucky enough to score a ticket to Fleetwood Mac's 2014 On With the Show tour will get to experience McVie classics like "Everywhere" and "Little Lies" alongside Fleetwood Mac staples like "Dreams" and "Rhiannon," marking the first time in nearly 20 years the band's classic lineup has toured together.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Legendary British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac was formed in 1967 by Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood. After moderate success as a no-frills blues band in the late '60s, the group underwent a turbulent period marked by lineup changes and lawsuits in the early '70s. With the additions of Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks by 1975, the band entered their most successful period, riding to both critical and commercial acclaim with a string of No. 1 albums including Rumours (1977) and Mirage (1982). The group's chemistry both in and out of the studio resulted in some of the era's most enduring hits, and the continued popularity of songs like "Dreams," "Gypsy," and "Sara," have made them one of the top-selling acts of all time. Following Christine McVie's departure in 1998, the band continued to tour with a scaled-down lineup, thrilling fans in 2014 with the announcement of McVie's return for their On With the Show tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"This was the best concert that I have seen in years. They can still rock the house. Stevie Nicks still has a fantastic voice. Lindsey's guitar playing was out of this world."

"Stevie hasn't sounded this flawless in almost 20 years. Just absolutely awesome. GREAT energy by everybody in the band. The chemistry was excellent and I think the band had as good of a time as the audience."

"Extremely enjoyable----the band is absolutely PROFESSIONAL---onstage for 2 1/2+ hours and appearing to enjoy every minute. Their sound is magnificent----unbelievable for 40 years in the business!!"

  • Great Night with Mac

Loved the show. My forth time to see them in the 80’s 90’s 2000’s and now. They still have the fire in then!!

Fleetwood Mac was phenomenal. I thought our floor seats would have a better view since they were more expensive- I’ll sit in the bleachers on the side towards the stage next time. Definitely a better view from there!

  • Fleetwood Mac Rocks!!

by Marty136993 on 10/11/18Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 5 out of 5

Fleetwood Mac put on an amazing concert. Their over 2 1/2 hour show spanned decades of their vast catalog of songs. Mainstays Mick Fleetwood and John Mcvie haven't lost anything in all the years. Christy Mcvie and Stevie Nicks sounded great. Newcomers Neil Finn of Crouded House fame more than adequately filled in vocals in place of Lindsay Buckingham and Mike Campbell formerly of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers showed again that he is a vastly underrated guitarist. Overall, the energy of this lineup was apparent in many ways. Look forward to a possible future studio project.

It was the worst concert we have ever been to. Very disappointed in many of our friends left early when we left.

  • Awesome As Usual

Loved every minute of the Fleetwood Mac concert! They played for well over two hours. Van Andel even upgraded our seats so we didn’t have to walk clear to the top of steps!

Van Andel never fails with putting on an amazing show! Fleetwood Mac was absolutely incredible. Our seats were perfect too. Never sat in the 201 section facing the stage straight on, I would definitely purchase those again.

Fleetwood Mac didn’t skip a beat without Buckingham . Loved the added petty songs and crowded house songs . Neil Finn on lead vocals was amazing . Mike Campbell on Guitar was excellent . The rest of the band was really energized . Would see again If they came back

  • Fleetwood Mac is classic

by TSwizz on 10/11/18Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 5 out of 5

I've got this checked off my bucket list at 48 years old. I'm glad i paid pre-sale price though, Christine McVie couldn't carry a tune and then the band would jump in and play even louder to drown her out and then it sounded awful. Stevie Nicks is still amazing. Mick Fleetwood is also amazing. The rest of the band and the performance as a whole was great!!!

  • Fleetwood Mac is timeless

by vikewings on 10/11/18Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 5 out of 5

This was classic rock at its finest, even with a cover songs mixed into the set list this show was just classic song after classic song. The show transported back to my youth. Stevie Nicks is as good, perhaps better, than ever. Mick Fleetwood still has the energy of a young man, and new guys (Finn and Campbell) are excellent replacements for Buckingham. Best show I've seen in a few years.

  • Satisfying Night

An excellent selection of setlist spanning their whole career.

  • Fleetwood Mac, Van Andel Arena GR, MI

by TThumper89 on 10/11/18Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 3 out of 5

I have to say I’m glad I saw Fleetwood Mac considering it is Fleetwood Mac with Stevie Nicks after all. However, unfortunately I found the sound quality to be rather poor. The voices were very muffled, difficult to hear and understand when speaking, and the volume was unusually soft. Whilebeit you don’t necessarily go to a Fleetwood Mac concert to hear them talk, a little extra kick in the volume to help an older gang out wouldn’t hurt!

  • Awesome show in spite of their ages.

by Mula400 on 10/11/18Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 5 out of 5

Nice to see that the band can still deliver a high class show. New band members did a tremendous job.

  • Fleetwood Mac - awesome

Never fully realized how great a drummer Mick Fleetwood really is! Awesome. Stevie and Courtney were great.

Phenomenal concert, even without Lindsey Buckingham. 6th time I’ve seen Fleetwood Mac in concert, beginning with their 1975 Concert in Detroit - Best yet! The addition of guitarists Mike Campbell and Neil Finn has brought a new dimension to the band. Killer concert!
