Fitz is worth seeing everytime you can.
by kwil99 on 7/5/12LC Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5I spend more time than I should going to concerts, traveling for concerts, learning about new musicians etc. I love music, live music, all of it. I have now seen Fitz 4 times, 3 of their own concerts and one festival where they were the headliner. I also had the opportunity to meet and spend some time with Fitz himself, twice, and he's quite humble. Regardless, this is not a mainstream indie rock band...not that I don't love more than my share of bands in that genre. But Fitz and the Tantrums provides quite an extreme uniqueness that is rarely seen... so much retro is shown in their bands sounds, the bands aesthetic and presentation and even through their concert wardrobe. But in addition, what makes them stand out, is their ability to draw a crowd with their music and lyrics and especially their stage presence, which ultimately creates true fans ranging from at least 18 to 40 or older. This is quite a feat in my opinion. I am 30 and I appreciate true music artists, song writers, artists who believe in their songs and it's so evident from their performance that it is difficult to not to want to jump on the stage and sing with them, just because they not only provide passionate music, but to deliver with an entire higher level of passion, belief, emotions and just sheer love for what they are doing and loving their ability to share it with others. How greatful I am to have experienced this, beyond any limits, a band that never holds back and a band that not only loves but truly feels the lyrics and power of their own songs while performing as much as I do. I can feel excited and sync right in with this band just when simply listening to their CD on the way home from work. So, if you can see them live.. do it, as it will be your loss if you don't. Nothing makes someone feel better than seeing an amazing artistic and entertaining performance by any band, yet alone, a band you have listened to and connected to. Music touches us all, maybe more for some than others. For myself, nothing touches me more..every emotion, every situation. What would the world be like without amazing artists and their music; we are only so fortunate to have it shared with us. Thank you.
