With a book by Emmy® Award winner GREG GARCIA (“My Name is Earl,” “Raising Hope”) and Emmy® Award MIKE O’MALLEY (“Survivor’s Remorse,” “Shameless”), this rousing and refreshing new production is choreographed by Tony Award® nominee KELLY DEVINE (Come From Away, Rock of Ages) and directed by Tony Award® winner and La Jolla Playhouse Artistic Director CHRISTOPHER ASHLEY (Come From Away, Memphis).
Imagine a place where the sun is hot, the water’s warm, and the drinks are as cold as they are plentiful. Welcome to Margaritaville, the island paradise where city folk get away from it all, and the locals get into the kind of trouble you can almost always sweet talk your way out of. The play was great fun. Lots of great Buffet songs which at times were cleverly altered to feed into the plot. There was also the added thrill of having Jimmy Buffet show up on stage at the end of the play.
This show is the best ever. Kudos to the cast and production staff.
Awesome!! Such an uplifting show. Funny and enjoying. And then to top off the great performances....... at the end of the show, Jimmy Buffett comes on stage singing!!!
Decent show for an evening of entertainment as long as your expectations are set properly. The show is not in the same category as most other shows we have been to. Very light plot line, under utilized cast, main characters and music are acceptable however you don’t leave feeling you were moved by the music or performance.

Escape to Margaritaville was our 1st Broadway Musical we went to in about 5 years. It was well done and very entertaining, The cast was excellent and I would highly recommend it and Sheas is always a great venue.
The talent on this show was amazing. One could feel the energy of the performers. It was a spectacular performance. The location is beautiful except elevators are a must especially for elderly and handicapped people.
Great show. Jimmy's older music which we know by heart. DPAC is a wonderful venue and staff is very hospitable
Truly didn’t know what to expect but it was a wonderful show. Loved hearing the songs we know. The entire cast & musicians were great. Truly a fun colorful show. Glad we saw it
The show was beyond my exspectations with a great story line to go along with the music and acting would see a second time
Great performance! I'm a Parrot Head and was not disappointed. About two dozen songs weaved into a very cohesive story. The singers and dancers made the songs come to life. I'd go again if I could.
We thoroughly enjoyed Escape to Margueritaville! It was for real our Sunday night "escape" , great dancing, music, fun story! DPAC is well organized to handle not only large groups but tag on Covid requirements and that must be a challenge but the are real pros and it was all streamlined and easy. Thanks for a great evening!
Good, light entertainment. Great escape from the concerns of today's world -- a chance to feel warm as winter approaches.
This was my third time seeing this show. First time was on Broadway. Loved it then and since. Once it catches up to the postponed shows, I hope it goes out on the road again. I would go again to see it. LOVE IT AND THE MUSIC!!!
This show was a jolt of fun, laughter and catchy songs. The performers from top to bottom were great making this show with a silly premise a pure delight to watch and left me humming tunes for days afterward.
We laughed!!! We cried!!! We sang!! We had a blast. Great story. Blended perfectly with all our favorite songs. We loved every minute.
We love Buffett music and the performers were lots of fun!! A must see.

High energy. Surprised there was no dancing in the aisles by audience
Was fantastic from the music to the dancing and the comedy. We sat a little too far back so I'd suggest mid to front seats for the best experience. Highly recommended!
