If you are a Buffett fan, I highly recommend it. The traffic was horrible that day, but once I got settled into the show, I enjoyed myself so much. Love the music and the plot. Gotta see it!!

    Understand why it's closing

by poiunyteysty on 6/30/18Marquis Theatre - New York

Jimmy Buffett's music is memorable, and this show should have been a tribute to him. However, there was no need to create a dumb, weak story and string together some "new" music as an excuse to stage a show. Bad plot, meh new music, too few old Buffett songs. In addition the sound system in the Marquis Theatre was awful - very harsh. Understand why this musical has had poor ticket sales and it closing. Very disappointing.

    Escape to Margaritavilke

by Bm2bob on 6/29/18Marquis Theatre - New York

This was a very intimate show. I’m a parrot head doing was there for the music which was awesome. But the acting and story were really good too. It should have done better. It should play for a lot longer I would definitely see it again.

Fun time at Escape to Margaritaville

by jello4brains on 6/29/18Marquis Theatre - New York

My husband and I really enjoyed the show. We love Jimmy Buffet - so the music was right up our alley. The show was light and enjoyable. The audience really seemed to be enjoying the music - singing along and mimicking the hand movements. I'm sorry to see this show leave Broadway, but I'm glad I got to experience the fun.

by mdh162 on 6/28/18Marquis Theatre - New York

This show was fantastic. A must for every Jimmy Buffet fan. You know all the songs already, and the story was woven together very well. Lots of laughs, with a great cast. I wish it was staying on Broadway longer so more people could see it.

    Fun and Lively

by ICA724 on 6/27/18Marquis Theatre - New York

This is definitely a show for Jimmy Buffet fans and judging by the number of people wearing tropical print clothing and singing along, knowing every word, many if them attended this show. .It was very entertaining and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Erik Peterson walked away with the show. Fabulous character actor.

    Unexpectedly Entertaining!!

by Billsfan on 6/27/18Marquis Theatre - New York

This was a fun, lighthearted, entertaining show with its corny puns and upbeat funny songs. Just what we wanted for an escape from heavy dark shows for a change. Every one was smiling during and after the show. Mindless fun that we all can use now and then!

    Just as Advertised

by cotton03 on 6/26/18Marquis Theatre - New York

While you didn't have to be a Parrothead to really enjoy this show (or get the humor), being one helped make it a great experience. Sadly, it apparently missed the mark with the traditional New York audience, resulting in a shorter run than what I had hoped. They don't know what they missed. Yes, it was true escapism; it was fun; it was pure Buffett; and it was the stuff that has created the type of Parrothead following that includes people of all ages. It was great mingling with other audience members prior to the show. I saw this in its pre-Broadway run in Chicago and was absolutely convinced I wanted to see it on Broadway. I am so glad I did. I was thrilled to see the engagement of the audience- which was missing in Chicago. And while the songs were familiar, they were used effectively and did a great job of telling an ordinary story in an extraordinary style. I had a blast! Thank you Jimmy Buffett; escaping to Margaritaville is always a great experience!

    The Escape is REAL!!!

by fitchick13 on 6/26/18Marquis Theatre - New York

I'm a die-hard Parrot Head. This show is so amazing & so indicative of the whole lifestyle that Jimmy Buffett represents. The cast looked like they were truly having a great time. They encouraged the audience to respond & participate. We were front & center on the 2nd row dressed tropically with leis & beads - the cast pointed me out twice & then actually took my hand during a song. Even my 23 year old son sang and smiled through the whole show. If you can't go to a Jimmy Buffett concert, this is the next best thing. We saw it on tour last November in Houston, TX before they went to Broadway. So glad to see it again - even better this time. Stayed after to meet & get autographs from the cast.

Feel good show, saw it twice!!

by LoveJBmusic on 6/26/18Marquis Theatre - New York

There is nothing bad about this show. The talent, music, dancing, and professionalism is stellar. I took the train up from Maryland for the day twice to see this show and I'd do it again. I'm so sad it's closing, it's very underrated. The world needs more upbeat and feel good shows that leave you smiling and in a great mood.
