Erykah Badu, one of the world’s most revered singers, is widely credited as being the godmother of neo-soul. Badu’s blend of hip-hop swagger and smooth jazz draws inspiration from Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan, and has earned her a total of four Grammy nominations. Pitchfork described the four-time Grammy Award-winning artist’s 1997 debut album Baduizm as an “existential anchor of the neo-soul movement.” The triple-platinum album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and lead single “On & On” won the Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance at the 1998 Grammy Awards. Badu’s enduring legacy was cemented on the road, where she has sung to sold-out crowds on multiple worldwide tours. The R&B legend has released five critically-acclaimed studio albums, and has been featured on hit songs by Busta Rhymes, Macy Gray and Janelle Monáe.

Concert was lit and easy to get to from Bart! It was a whole vibe.
It was an amazing experience, way more fun then I was expecting too. Produced extremely well, and her voice was amazing. She's funny and kinda cool weird which I wasn't expecting. If you do decide to go, make sure you know she will not be out on time. They had a nice preshow playlist so I didn't mind haha.
We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for the concert to begin and she only performed for maybe 1 hour and 30 minutes. When introducing her band, some were provided very long solos, which took up alot of time. Her actual performance was good, but not amazing, given the wait. I would not attend another performance.
After getting my luggage stolen in Oakland, experiencing Ms. Badu’s clear, strong, raw and emotional vocals, my anxiety was quelled. I was able to dance my stress out out my body and away to her smooth tunes. This was a beautiful show filled with many generations of people enjoying her catalog.
She came out 2hours and 15min late show was supposed to start @ 8pm started at 10:15 pm .. and @ 11pm they were starting to shut it down .. she is a great performer but we didn’t get our $$ worth we basically paid all that $$$ to listen to a DJ play music the club would’ve been cheaper !! If that’s what we wanted to do was listen to a DJ
Absolutely enjoyed myself, especially seeing Erykah and her amazing backgrounds and band!!! I’ve been recharged!
The concert was outstanding, the band the background singers and the performance with the visual effects. All great.. Erykah was outstanding as usual.
Erykah is alway a vibe just speechless. Amazing performance!
Probably my 12th time seeing Ms. Badu. Same old popular songs, no deep dive into her limited discography, same old geometric laser productions. When’s the new album?
The concert was a wild ride! She rolled in two hours late, keeping us on the edge of our seats. I wish she had belted out more of her hits, but the freestyle moments were pure fire. Overall? Totally worth it—I loved every second!
I traveled from Chicago to San Francisco to see the one and only Erykah Badu! I had an amazing time. The DJ set before the show was great and I danced the whole time. Erykah Badu was over an hour late but I didn’t care. She came performed an amazing show I was front row and center it was great. I would definitely go again. I love concerts I live for concerts!! I LOVE ERYKAH BADU ❤️
If I could give it ten stars, I would. Simply the best!
I enjoyed the venue. I wish the show was longer but I enjoyed every bit of it. I love Erykah!
I went to see Erykah Badu on 11/2/24 and was very excited. The show was suppose to start at 8pm so instead we listen to her band do a 30 minute drum solo. She finally comes out at 9:00 and didn’t sing half of her hit songs and she was done at 10:00 Speaking as a fan I felt cheated out of my money. I think she could have gave us a lot more.
This was my first time seeing Her and it was one of the best I’ve seen in a long time I was upset at her late start time but the performance made up for that that. It was a last minute decision as I had won tickets to see her in the summer but for some reason it was canceled still feel like I’m owed a show on that hope I have the opportunity to see her again and that the set is longer hats off to you till next time more of a fan 🙌🏾
I am a true Erykah Badu Fan , and the seating was everything. I love that she really felt the energy of the crowd, and performed for almost 2 hours.
Great show could have been a fantastic show, but when you’re due on stage at 8p and you don’t come on til 9p and saying good night at 10p…….and $176 a tix 😕
Humbly Ms. Badu @erykahbadu DMV loves you DOWN!!!! U have so many day 1’s here, myself included, but last night we needed more of your time! U gave us bout an hr fr and I’m still blown about it. I been dying to see u and had to bend over to find babysitting lol yall know how that go! I think I speak for a lot of folks when I say that ticket price didn’t match the show we received! Can we get a do-over?! 😢
Good show but short performance. I expected at least 1.5 hours of entertainment. On top of that, the show started 1 hour late. I paid $200 for 45 mins of entertainment. Never again for Eryka Badu.
