ERASURE IN CONCERT:

Nearly three decades after their debut, British synthpop duo Erasure continue to reign supreme on dance floors around the world. Combining the production skills of Vince Clark and the soaring vocals of Andy Bell, Erasure dominated European airwaves in the '80s and '90s with a massive string of hits that sound as fresh today as they did 25 years ago. Bell is a legendary live performer, maintaining an infectious energy and positivity as he lends his perfectly-preserved pipes to the love-drunk swoon of "Oh L'amour" and the uplifting message of "Chains of Love". The duo's unforgettable live shows never fail to spark impassioned dance parties among nostalgic fans, and their upcoming dates on the Violet Flame 2014 World Tour will be no different.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Erasure was formed in mid-'80s London by former Depeche Mode member Vince Clark and budding singer Andy Bell. Their 1985 debut album Wonderland failed to make much of an impact in Britain, but they hit the big time with their 1987 sophomore album The Circus, which remained on the UK Albums Chart for more than a year on the strength of hit singles "Sometimes" and "Victim of Love". The following year they achieved breakthrough success in America with the Top 20 hits "Chains of Love" and "A Little Respect", both from their third album The Innocents. That album was the first of five consecutive UK No. 1 records for the duo, a streak that culminated with 1994's I Say I Say I Say. With their 16th studio album The Violet Flame hitting shelves in 2014, Erasure will treat fans to a series of electrifying shows in support of the release.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Andy Bell is one hell of a performer and had a lot of energy to bring their songs to life...I remember looking around and seeing my fellow concertgoers smiling from ear-to-ear and having an amazing sing-along experience. Definitely money well spent."

"Andy and Vince were awesome. The new songs are great and it was a blast hearing the old songs once again."

"Simply amazing! Erasure kept the crowd happy and dancing throughout the whole show."

Erasure was amazing! I’ve heard live albums but was still in awe of how amazeballs they were live and in person. The crowd was there for a good time and Erasure brought it. Erasure live is a must see! The Warner Theatre is absolutely beautiful. Really not a bad seat in the house.

Andy Bell was suffering a cold but his voice sounded amazing at this venue! He has a great sense of humor and sang a great variety of their hits and new ones. Everyone was up on their feet for almost 2 hours. It was exciting energy and a great time. You could tell people were really have a blast. The Warner Theatre is gorgeous inside and the acoustics were great! Vince Clarke was amazing on the keyboard and conducting all the electronic music. The two background vocal divas really had amazing voices, a great sense of fashion and made the event even more enjoyable. Can't wait for Erasure to come back....I want more!

Andy Bell was sick with a cold/flu, but put on an amazing show! I got great seats in row G, dead center. On my feet for the entire show, and everyone was singing along. SO MUCH FUN and glad I went!

First time seeing Erasure live. They are fantastic to see in person. Took me back in time to dance clubs when I was younger. Don't miss them if you get a chance to see them live.

  • Erasure..Entertaining and Everlasting

by TlovesMusic on 7/23/18Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I want to say this was my 4th time seeing them, but I could be wrong. They never disappoint me and the entire crowd! I bought these tickets the minute they went on sale, and before they were forced to add two more dates (before this night), but they had the energy to last and made it a memorable show! The set list was incredible, although I always wish Vince would do a Yaz song or mash-up of songs - wishful thinking, I know! This crowd was absolutely amazing - the guy behind me sounded like a member of the band and made it even more fun! Their music from the 80's is timeless in my little world, but I'm hopelessly stuck in the 80's musically! If Andy Bell can keep up that showmanship, he'll be putting other front men to shame in years to come - absolutely incredible and one of the few bands that I would see every time they tour! LOVE them!!!

  • Erasure always pulls through!

by Pattyblu755 on 7/20/18House of Blues Boston presented by Cricket Wireless - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Interspersing old hits and new songs, the band kept us happy with dance-able favorites and thoughtful lyrics. Even though Andy Bell was sick and Vince Clarke's flight was cancelled, Erasure proved why they have lasted so long, they are utter professionals and put on a 5 star performance! Blue Savannah, Always, and Break These Chains of Love were spectacular!

Though Andy had a bit of a cold, he powered through and somehow his voice was still amazing. I am a long time fan, really from the beginning and am grateful and fortunate that we were able to see them for the first time - and hopefully, not the last. I was also able to get one of the copies of the set list, which will be framed on my "music wall". Hopefully, get it signed someday.

Fantastic choices of songs. They did a lot of their best known music. Andy Bell was getting over a cold so his voice wasn’t as perfect as it no Malloy is but he did an amazing job and incredible stamina. Not crazy about th back up singers. They were ok

  • Erasure not a great musical experience

Old songs were great. I usually like a full band type concert. All electronic music not my thing!
