ERASURE IN CONCERT:
Nearly three decades after their debut, British synthpop duo Erasure continue to reign supreme on dance floors around the world. Combining the production skills of Vince Clark and the soaring vocals of Andy Bell, Erasure dominated European airwaves in the '80s and '90s with a massive string of hits that sound as fresh today as they did 25 years ago. Bell is a legendary live performer, maintaining an infectious energy and positivity as he lends his perfectly-preserved pipes to the love-drunk swoon of "Oh L'amour" and the uplifting message of "Chains of Love". The duo's unforgettable live shows never fail to spark impassioned dance parties among nostalgic fans, and their upcoming dates on the Violet Flame 2014 World Tour will be no different.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Erasure was formed in mid-'80s London by former Depeche Mode member Vince Clark and budding singer Andy Bell. Their 1985 debut album Wonderland failed to make much of an impact in Britain, but they hit the big time with their 1987 sophomore album The Circus, which remained on the UK Albums Chart for more than a year on the strength of hit singles "Sometimes" and "Victim of Love". The following year they achieved breakthrough success in America with the Top 20 hits "Chains of Love" and "A Little Respect", both from their third album The Innocents. That album was the first of five consecutive UK No. 1 records for the duo, a streak that culminated with 1994's I Say I Say I Say. With their 16th studio album The Violet Flame hitting shelves in 2014, Erasure will treat fans to a series of electrifying shows in support of the release.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Andy Bell is one hell of a performer and had a lot of energy to bring their songs to life...I remember looking around and seeing my fellow concertgoers smiling from ear-to-ear and having an amazing sing-along experience. Definitely money well spent."
"Andy and Vince were awesome. The new songs are great and it was a blast hearing the old songs once again."
"Simply amazing! Erasure kept the crowd happy and dancing throughout the whole show."

The show was great. Chicago Theater needs to get it together. They either have a re-entry policy or they don't. Very annoying.
Was awesome live! He's still got it! I would go again!
I look forward to attending Erasure every time they hit the road!
Great evening with memorable tunes that have lasted in rock history music and will continue to resonate.
As usual, Erasure put on a great show at the Chicago Theatre. They play well in this smaller setting, and had the crowd up and dancing throughout. The only drawbacks were the long lines for the bathrooms or the bar, but there isn't much you can do about that given the location. Really had a great time.
The show was great. The energy of the crowd was good too. They played old favorites and some new stuff. Wish it was longer - seemed to have cut Friday a bit short. More Dancing Andy!
So many hits in one night, Chicago theater makes the event more classy. Erasure is one group that never gets old.
They are a must see concert. I danced and sang along to all of their songs. They really are the best performers I’ve seen in concert.
Great show very entertaining all the old favorites were played everyone was great and funny too. Very personable with the audience. The venue was perfect as well it was the perfect size I’m not a fan of huge stadiums. On one song Andy forgot the words at the beginning and stopped and started over he owned it and laughed everyone on stage was laughing it was one of the highlights it just kept it real and you knew it wasn’t recorded at all either. I love when performers are just plain real people and have fun doing what they do clearly this show was the perfect example of that, they were all having a good time as well as the audience. Now as for the opening group reed and Caroline I’m not so sure on them definitely not my taste in music and too child like lyrics for erasure. Also zero stage presence what so ever I can live the rest of my life without ever hearing them again,
Great show! I was up and dancing the whole concert. Great venue attached to a multi-“level of restaurants. Very ideal place and had a great time. Played all the oldies and some new.
Erasure was perfect and amazing!!!! Best night of my life!
One word to sum up the Erasure concert. AWESOME!! Haven’t seen them in 20 years, but Andy Bell and Vince Clarke haven’t missed a beat. Everybody in our group had an amazing time. We were dancing for the entire time. The venue, 20 Monroe Live, was great. I don’t think there was a bad seat in the place. It felt like you were on the stage with the band, regardless of where you sat. Highly recommend both, Erasure and 20 Monroe Live.
Erasure was great and very good entertainers, fun stories in between songs. I would go again and would recommend them to anyone. The opening band was not good and scared me for how Erasure was going to be, next time I will skip the opening band.
My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Warner Theater at The Erasure Concert the 21st of July, Always nice to go there. They played all their Hits` and some less know. The energy was all around. The only thing we hate were the people constantly standing up and blocking the view of the show, they need to stay the hell Home in font of their TV.
Concert was more than I expected. Would highly recommend.
If you are an Erasure fan, this is a must see tour. Plenty of material from World Be Gone mixed in with great songs from previous albums. Andy’s voice is amazing and with Vince’s music, it will have you singing along and dancing.
Erasure- my favorite- put on a great show......as usual
The show could have been a little longer but I had a great time and they played all my faves!
I travel out of state and spend a lot of money to see Erasure. Worth every bit... BUT... they didn't play long enough. They're too young to stop at 10:00! That's my only complaint.
