ERASURE IN CONCERT:

Nearly three decades after their debut, British synthpop duo Erasure continue to reign supreme on dance floors around the world. Combining the production skills of Vince Clark and the soaring vocals of Andy Bell, Erasure dominated European airwaves in the '80s and '90s with a massive string of hits that sound as fresh today as they did 25 years ago. Bell is a legendary live performer, maintaining an infectious energy and positivity as he lends his perfectly-preserved pipes to the love-drunk swoon of "Oh L'amour" and the uplifting message of "Chains of Love". The duo's unforgettable live shows never fail to spark impassioned dance parties among nostalgic fans, and their upcoming dates on the Violet Flame 2014 World Tour will be no different.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Erasure was formed in mid-'80s London by former Depeche Mode member Vince Clark and budding singer Andy Bell. Their 1985 debut album Wonderland failed to make much of an impact in Britain, but they hit the big time with their 1987 sophomore album The Circus, which remained on the UK Albums Chart for more than a year on the strength of hit singles "Sometimes" and "Victim of Love". The following year they achieved breakthrough success in America with the Top 20 hits "Chains of Love" and "A Little Respect", both from their third album The Innocents. That album was the first of five consecutive UK No. 1 records for the duo, a streak that culminated with 1994's I Say I Say I Say. With their 16th studio album The Violet Flame hitting shelves in 2014, Erasure will treat fans to a series of electrifying shows in support of the release.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Andy Bell is one hell of a performer and had a lot of energy to bring their songs to life...I remember looking around and seeing my fellow concertgoers smiling from ear-to-ear and having an amazing sing-along experience. Definitely money well spent."

"Andy and Vince were awesome. The new songs are great and it was a blast hearing the old songs once again."

"Simply amazing! Erasure kept the crowd happy and dancing throughout the whole show."

  • Erasure is a delight

by Tuyonkah on 10/3/11Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 3 out of 5

Erasure new music is surprisingly good!!! There were a couple tracks that are club sound in my opinion and I was dancing to the beat. It was great!!! Stage was simple since they play at a small venue here in Denver. Not much choreography, I wished Erasure would have hired someone to choreograph. Sound quality was excellent.

  • Erasure so much fun

Erasure was awesome. Andy Bell, still can belt it out so beautifully. Fun, fun evening. Didn't care that much for Frankmusik, a little too teeny-bopper for this old lady. Ogden is nice and intimate but please get a cooling system that works it was like bikram's dancing.

Had to get their stuff the next day cuz we loved it so much! Andy Bell sang his heart out and was in the best vocal form I've ever heard him him! Great show! Seeing Cyndi Lauper 11/1 at the Ogden cuz the place rocks!

The show consisted of 90 minutes of non-stop, high energy songs. All of my favorites from prior years were included in addition to a few new songs. Well worth the price and the theater is a good venue.

Great combination of music. Nice to hear everyone sing at the top of their lungs when the classics came on. They sang a few new songs that actually encourages me to get their new album when it comes out. Erasure is very entertaining as usual........fantastic concert. Come to Vegas again!

  • Erasure put on a great show

by golfnff on 10/2/11Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Erasure put on an excellent show. I saw them 20+ years ago and it brought back some good memories. Andy Bell seemed to have a bit of hard time sustaining his higher notes as the setlist progressed. He switched it up wisely by singing some of the parts in a lower tone and let the backup singers do the higher stuff. Overall an entertaining show as Vince Clark was awesome and especially considering their ages.............they put on an excellent performance!

  • One of the best shows I've seen!

by Tareee on 10/2/11Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

I see a lot of concerts - from big stadium productions to a bar or small venue with just a guy and his acoustic guitar. Erasure STILL has it after all these years! I think they are underrated - anyone who likes any kind of pop (which generally I am not a big fan of, but I love me some Euro Pop) probably knows many of their songs without realizing it - I know my husband did! Andy and Vince are electrifying in person. Andy danced and interacted with the crowd the whole time, and whilst Vince is a man of few words he still had quite the presence onstage. The tickets are ridiculously cheap, so go see them when they come to town! Just be prepared to not only hear Andy do the singing with their hits (which was most of the show - though a lot from their new album was played, too!).

  • Erasure still has it

Saw Erasure in Denver and Andy and Vince still know how to put on an amazing show. I even liked the new songs from the new album Tomorrows World.
