ERASURE IN CONCERT:

Nearly three decades after their debut, British synthpop duo Erasure continue to reign supreme on dance floors around the world. Combining the production skills of Vince Clark and the soaring vocals of Andy Bell, Erasure dominated European airwaves in the '80s and '90s with a massive string of hits that sound as fresh today as they did 25 years ago. Bell is a legendary live performer, maintaining an infectious energy and positivity as he lends his perfectly-preserved pipes to the love-drunk swoon of "Oh L'amour" and the uplifting message of "Chains of Love". The duo's unforgettable live shows never fail to spark impassioned dance parties among nostalgic fans, and their upcoming dates on the Violet Flame 2014 World Tour will be no different.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Erasure was formed in mid-'80s London by former Depeche Mode member Vince Clark and budding singer Andy Bell. Their 1985 debut album Wonderland failed to make much of an impact in Britain, but they hit the big time with their 1987 sophomore album The Circus, which remained on the UK Albums Chart for more than a year on the strength of hit singles "Sometimes" and "Victim of Love". The following year they achieved breakthrough success in America with the Top 20 hits "Chains of Love" and "A Little Respect", both from their third album The Innocents. That album was the first of five consecutive UK No. 1 records for the duo, a streak that culminated with 1994's I Say I Say I Say. With their 16th studio album The Violet Flame hitting shelves in 2014, Erasure will treat fans to a series of electrifying shows in support of the release.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Andy Bell is one hell of a performer and had a lot of energy to bring their songs to life...I remember looking around and seeing my fellow concertgoers smiling from ear-to-ear and having an amazing sing-along experience. Definitely money well spent."

"Andy and Vince were awesome. The new songs are great and it was a blast hearing the old songs once again."

"Simply amazing! Erasure kept the crowd happy and dancing throughout the whole show."

  • Great Concert!

Always great to see live. This was probably my 5th time seeing Erasure. Fun to watch and always sound good. They can still do it after all these years.

the most amazing erasure concert ever. Three songs off the new album and then off to some unsuspected classics. Light on the costumes changes. The lighting was awsome.

  • Fantastic Erasure

by Timmbo on 9/25/14The Santander Performing Arts Center - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Erasure several times and have loved them since the beginning. People who classify them as an 80's band should really take note that they have never stopped making music since the 80's. And making Great music at that.

  • Erasure 2014

by Erasure on 9/25/14The Santander Performing Arts Center - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

Erasure was my first concert almost 25 years ago. They have been amazing all these years and still are able to perform great today. They played all the hit songs and put on a good show. Then Santander Theater in Reading was a great place to perform. I was surprised with the attendence being rather low. It was a Sunday night and I dont think it was advertised very well. Anyway, anyone who likes Erasure will be glad to know they can still bring it.

  • Great show!

Not just for Erasure fans. I had a great time although I hadn't listened to them since the 90's. However, I do plan to pick up the new CD. Andy Bell is fun to watch, his energy is astounding and he looked like he wouldn't rather be doing something else.

  • Superb Erasure.

The Viloet Flame tour not only highlights the duo's stellar new songs but also covered their most infamous hits that made this a must-see experience!!!

  • Took me back to my youth!!

    by spyguy1022 on 9/22/14Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

We were on the 2nd row (actual 4th row) with AMAZING seats and loved every minute of the concert! Andy Bell was full of life and kept us thoroughly entertained! Symphony Hall was a very intimate setting and the audience was very into the show. I can't wait until they come back so we can do it all over again!

  • Erasure did an amazing job, as they did years ago!

by buckheadgirl on 9/21/14Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

They played so much of their popular music probably since the the new album doesn't come out until next week. We had a great time. Andy Bell sounds the same as he did 25 years ago.

  • Erasure was great, the sound was not.

by WesReed on 9/20/14Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

This was my second time seeing Erasure in the past 2 years. The first was at House of Blues in Orlando. The venue for this one seemed generally ok appearance wise but I was very disappointed in the audio quality which could only be described muddy. Otherwise, erasure' performance was excellent and well received. I would love to see Erasure again at another venue with better sound.

  • never fails to satisfy - beyond compare

they did it again! another stellar performance in Atlanta! took the stage at 9:00 and entertained to the bitter end - even through the encore.

  • Erasure was AMAZING

by Piriguette on 9/20/14Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I had never heard of Nina and she's was pretty good. Love her style of music. Erasure was incredible, they brought the house down. I believe everyone danced through the entire concert. More old stuff re invented. Loved them. Saw them in LA years ago and they still put on a great show like this one. 80's revival is back.

Excellent concert. The guys are back with some great new music and the nightclub atmosphere of the set was awesome. The remixed stage versions of the hits are great.

The best fun I've had in a long time! I told my my friend to hold for some fun and she was hit the face with a great show!

  • Great Show, Great Band!

by wdwdude on 9/17/14House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act was ok, but Erasure delivered as always! They sounded great and performed most of their major hits. Also the lighting show was spectacular, though I did miss some of the crazy sets they've had in the past. Also they are on tour with back up singers this time (two of them) which was a nice touch. Andy did actually lose his place in a few songs and messed up on some versus, but it was still a great show!

Good show tho was also expecting a band/musicians not singing to taped music
