ERASURE IN CONCERT:
Nearly three decades after their debut, British synthpop duo Erasure continue to reign supreme on dance floors around the world. Combining the production skills of Vince Clark and the soaring vocals of Andy Bell, Erasure dominated European airwaves in the '80s and '90s with a massive string of hits that sound as fresh today as they did 25 years ago. Bell is a legendary live performer, maintaining an infectious energy and positivity as he lends his perfectly-preserved pipes to the love-drunk swoon of "Oh L'amour" and the uplifting message of "Chains of Love". The duo's unforgettable live shows never fail to spark impassioned dance parties among nostalgic fans, and their upcoming dates on the Violet Flame 2014 World Tour will be no different.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Erasure was formed in mid-'80s London by former Depeche Mode member Vince Clark and budding singer Andy Bell. Their 1985 debut album Wonderland failed to make much of an impact in Britain, but they hit the big time with their 1987 sophomore album The Circus, which remained on the UK Albums Chart for more than a year on the strength of hit singles "Sometimes" and "Victim of Love". The following year they achieved breakthrough success in America with the Top 20 hits "Chains of Love" and "A Little Respect", both from their third album The Innocents. That album was the first of five consecutive UK No. 1 records for the duo, a streak that culminated with 1994's I Say I Say I Say. With their 16th studio album The Violet Flame hitting shelves in 2014, Erasure will treat fans to a series of electrifying shows in support of the release.

Andy and Vince were in top form. They played most of the singles from The Innocents, Wild!, and Chorus. I wish that they would've played some lesser-known songs from the above albums and the earlier ones as well. However, with the panache and verve they've used in their music for the last twenty-plus years, I am OK with the lack of variety. The Chicago Theater is a great place to see bands.

I expected to enjoy this, but this show greatly surpassed my expectations. Andy Bell is an enthusiastic showman, and the crowd responded in kind. Lots of dancing along with the music. After a good 90 minutes, they closed out the set with the crowd-pleasing, "Respect," followed by an enthusiastic sing-a-long to "Chains of Love." They came back for an encore and then said good night, which was a great way to end an energized evening.
The Erasure show was excellent , Andy Bell was great-he is a great performer. They played all the hits plus 5 new ones from the new album. a must-see!
Absolutely an unforgettable concert of all of their megahits and an intro to great new tunes like Reason! I'm still playing their music non stop since the concert!! They just really transform you to a time of fun, carefree, be yourself beats to move to!!!
It was epic my wife loved it her first time seeing Erasure, I enjoyed it more, lots of memories.
The show is a not miss for Erasure fans! A fantastic mix of old hits and new songs. Could not believe the energy Andy Bell has after so many years! Amazing!
Andy and Vince have a winning formula that they have reverted back to that works flawlessly.

High-energy, festive and fun night. Strong and harmonious vocals, iconic music tracks, and fun back-up singers. The music takes you right back to the 80s and, thanks to new album, transports all that 80s Erasure goodness to 2014. Great show!
It was so much fun being there with other Erasure fans! The energy was fantastic!
They sang new songs and a lot of favorites. Mind you this is not a big production show. This is more about them and their music. So if you are a true fan, you will like the show.
I have seen Erasure many times before but this concert was the best ever! the seats were great on the main floor of the beautiful Chicago Theater and the company was great. I went with my brother and fiance. It was the best time ever!

Great concert as always. Andy is always the center of attention. With his flamboyant outfits, his witty demeanor and his great vocal abilities he makes one hell of a party. Vincent Clark is always the man behind the scenes, but making sure the music sounds incredible. And the back up singers are always right in tune. They have so many hits now that it's hard to fit them all in one concert, but was a nice mix of slow, fast, new and old. If you are a fan or only know one or two songs and they are coming to a town near you, definitely see them. I've never been let down at having a blast.
From beginning to end...Erasure was captivating and in excellent voice and sound. They never stopped and packed a lot of hits into this show.
If you want to have a great time at a concert, then you need to get yourself to an Erasure concert. While they played their new songs most of the set included their hits which got everyone up on their feet dancing and having a great time. The lights were awesome and the band was amazing!! These guys know how to put on a show!
Been an Erasure fan since day 1. This was the best of their concerts I've seen. Andy still has it! Vince is a genius. Its great to have Emily & Val backing them up. The crown was totally into it. The audio on the webcast was amazing too.
