I'd give it a zero if possible

by Nick on 11/13/23Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

The seats we horrible, we were distracted every single second of the show. The shouldn't have sold those seats in the first place. The show was below average and combined with the seats it made our experience way below average. We left at the first intermission.

    Disappointed

    by Tina on 11/12/23

I really wish I read the reviews before buying these expensive tickets. We could had done this at home with the captions on. Traveled an hour on top buying the tickets I couldn’t believe it was just that, no characters blah

    Disappointed

by Ashley on 11/12/23Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - Jacksonville

Thought it would have more characters perform on stage. The band was good just thought it was more similar to a broadway show and not just a film

We had an awesome time at the show. The music was great with wonderful interaction between the band and the audience.

    Save your money

    by Momof2 on 11/10/23

Read the negative reviews. I wish I would have had access to them when I bought the tickets 4 months in advance. $52 per person to watch Encanto on a large screen. Screaming babies and crying children overwhelmed the sound of the “movie”. All the kids were very underwhelmed and bored. “Live band” offered absolutely nothing to the experience. I thought it would have been more like a Disney on Ice, and instead I spent a ridiculous amount to hear crying babies and watch a movie we own at home. So disappointing

    Superb

by Bill on 11/8/23Columbia County Performing Arts Center - Evans

Performance was excellent. I brought family from all over the Southeast. They all thought the venue was great and the workers were so very helpful. The show was tremendous and everyone had a great time.

    Overpriced show

by Bryan on 11/7/23Columbia County Performing Arts Center - Evans

The show is just the Encanto movie on a screen with a dozen people playing instruments during the songs. For the price (~$50 per seat), I expected a broadway style show or something comparable to Disney on ice level of production. A regular size skittles was $4. Kids were asking “how much longer”? Not worth it.

Awesome show. My 2 year old loved it!

by Doug on 11/2/23The Lyric - Baltimore

The show was amazing the songs were great and the band did an excellent job. Only complaint is with the venue and it’s just the theater seating is not big guy friendly.

Four year old is now a theater lover

Took our granddaughter to her first theater experience. Encanto sing along was the best way to interest a future theater lover!

    Good

by DebiP on 10/26/23Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

It was a good performance, the singing was great, the singer was great and the band was great. I don't know if the age level was set for all the little girls and, of course the candy bar was like gold to our 2 little granddaughters, but the interest level was lost on our little girls and I could see by the audience reaction that they were having trouble keeping their little girls engaged. We have a 5 year old and 2 year old granddaughters. I was able to have the 5 yr old be somewhat into what they were doing but lost interest a quarter of the way into the show, the 2 yr old didn't understand at all and would watch the film but she was screaming at everybody to shut up and took her bottle and fell asleep. Needless to say, I watched the film, couldn't sing or clap, and felt depressed that the girls weren't into it. They love Disney films and have them on all the time, dancing and singing to them, but, they didn't get the show. It was put together superbly. Next time, could you let the seating go by age? I felt if I was closer they might get into it like they do at home.

    Disappointed

    by Steph on 10/25/23

Disney should be ashamed to be associated with this! Def not what was described or advertised as initially. Very disappointing & def not worth a $300 ticket!

Stressful - Not enjoyable and expensive

by Nana on 10/25/23Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

Just stream or rent the movie and watch at home with the kids. Screaming kids, crying babies, late arrivals, people can't sit in seats, expensive split drinks. Wouldn't recommend or ever attend again.

    Okay

by BV on 10/24/23Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

After navigating through the concession stand congestion, through the only entrance door, we made our way to our seats. The ushers were kind and accommodating. There were children dressed in costume; families taking pictures. The show was introduced and the band came out. The movie began with captions in English and Spanish. Once the movie began, I was not cognizant the performers were there as I was watching the film/words on the screen. When everyone was singing along, the band was indistinguishable from the film music. The experience was okay for the $25 ticket

    A little disappointed

by Kira on 10/23/23Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

I spent over $400 for front row seats for my daughter and her cousins. The show definitely wasn't what I expected for what we paid. I thought that the musicians would at least be in character. There really wasn't much singing either. Just instruments playing over the music. My niece kept asking when the characters would be coming out. I give 3 stars because the kids seemed to enjoy it. But it certainly was not worth the money...at all! Also, I was expecting to buy souvenirs for the kids, that was also lacking. Just some overpriced t-shirts.

    Wonderful time!

by Paige C on 10/19/23State Theatre - Minneapolis

My daughter and I had such a great time at the Encanto Sing A Long! I was concerned going to the show because I had read some negative reviews. It proved to me that I can't count on other people's opinions. The band was awesome! The Columbian live music made you clap your hands and want to dance. Thank you for bringing the show to MN!

    NOT WORTH IT.

by MamaPeepz on 10/19/23State Theatre - Minneapolis

The concert was disappointing. It would’ve been nice if they had people in Encanto characters singing along/performing with each song. My five year old (who loves music & dancing) asked during intermission if we can go home already. I was not expecting it to be us watching the whole movie play on the screen and a band/lady play along to the songs when they came up. We did love and get in the spirit of singing along, but we also dealt with children crying/chattering loudly. It kept disrupting the show. If I knew all of this from the start, I would’ve never made any purchase towards this overtaxed event.
