Very expensive for what it was

by Not worth the price on 7/26/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

The show was basically rewatching the movie on the big screen in the heat. I wish it had been more of a real concert- the band was very hard to see and it seemed like the music was coming from the movie rather than the actual band. Felt overpriced for basically rewatching the movie.

    Not for us

by Rellegar on 7/26/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

We didn't read the fine print where it said there are no characters on stage. This was just a movie outside, a very expensive one at that. It was hope and late, we made it halfway through and the kids were done at the first intermission. I think half the crowd left as well. Dissapointting, specially for how much this cost.

    Not worth it

by LC on 7/26/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

This was absolutely not worth the $100+ that I spent on the tickets. This show was straight up boring. They showed the movie, they had an intermission, it was just not that engaging. They should have had characters, more audience engagement, it was just uninteresting. My daughter got bored and we left shortly after intermission.

    Movie at the park essentially

by Cyn on 7/26/22Concord Pavilion - Concord

We loved the live music component, wish there was more of it. This essentially turned out to be a big movie at the park where they just played the movie and while they tried to make it interactive with the phone app, I think we all expected more human interaction like people dressed in characters singing together almost like play style. The kids we took ranged from 4-9 and were all more excited to leave early to go get some ice cream after the first hour.

    Disappointed

by JP on 7/25/22Concord Pavilion - Concord

I went into this concert thinking we would enjoy a live performance. I imagined it would have been a theatrical show. Instead I paid quite a bit of money to watch the movie and a band play the songs. I guess I should have looked into this a little more before I purchased the tickets.

Very, very expensive movie theater experience

    by K. S. on 7/25/22

We were disappointed with this show for many reasons. First, I paid for premium tickets in the first row of our section so my kids could see - which ended up being directly behind a camera operator so our views were entirely obstructed (not advertised when purchasing the tickets). Second, knowing it would be very hot in July, these premium tickets were also located below large fans in the pavilion. However, the one above us was not operating making it intolerable to sit in our seats (that we couldn't see anything in anyways) on a 109 degree day. We ended up moving and sitting in the last row under a fan. The show is basically just the movie with a band that plays along for a few of the songs. We ended up leaving early because the kids were hot and tired and said they would "rather just watch the movie at home." I acknowledge a lot of fault was on the venue, not the production, but I do think the experience did not deliver given the price of the tickets I paid.

    Rip-off

by Sange on 7/25/22Concord Pavilion - Concord

Basically, they just played the whole movie and a live band played along to the songs. No live performance or singers. I would have just watched the movie at home, which I have a million times. Why pay money to watch the movie again? I was expecting a little more for the money I paid.

Parking was included in ticket, score! Restrooms are big, awesome! Vendors available. Seats were clean, lemonade guy walked multiple times. We had a wonderful time! Thank you!

    Could have been better

by Jamie on 7/25/22Concord Pavilion - Concord

More performances from great band and a couple dancers to get the audience up on their feet to dance and sing would be nice. Too much watching movie from the screen :(

    Not what I was expecting

by Crissy on 7/24/22Concord Pavilion - Concord

Literally paid to watch the movie again and when a song came up the band on stage would so call play the song but did not like there was literally no crowd interaction, no characters dancing or reenactment of the songs…. My daughter was bored and asked to leave she is 4 and has watched this movie at home over and over again and gets more excited at home then that so called sing along never again!

    Waste of money

    by J. L. on 7/24/22Concord Pavilion - Concord

It was a waste of money ! Practically paid a high amount to rewatch the movie with a band that only played the instruments No singing . Nothing new to the venue . Horrible especially in the times we live in .

Kids wanted to leave in the first 30 minutes

by Chris on 7/24/22Concord Pavilion - Concord

First off the concord pavilion is a beautiful location. Now for a month leading up to the event my daughter and her friend could not stop talking about the live show. My friend and I took off work a few hours early to try and beat traffic (almost 2 hour drive from where we live) we go out to dinner first and see lots of people dressed up for the show and our girls got more excited. While walking in the excitement grew and grew as our 5 year olds saw many happy kids. As we took our premium seats and looked around we started getting worried. The stage was full of music equipment. The girls asked where will the characters sing and perform? We didn’t have an answer and just kept them happy as the show grew closer. The show is starting and they are pumped up and the host comes out and sings a song. They then proceeded to show a 30 minute clip of how the movie was made (5 year olds could care less about that) then the movie starts. Wait we just drove 2 hours and paid almost $1000 dollars to watch a movie? This can’t be happening, there has to be more to come. Well intermission came and honestly we wish it came sooner. The kids were not happy and wanted to go home. I’m sorry but we have been to many Disney shows and this one was by far the worst thought out show to date. Our 5 year olds could have come up with a better idea then trying to spend 2+ hours watching a movie they have seen over 100 times. Bring in some Live characters to entertain the kids and you’ll have a hit. Continue just playing the movie and you’ll see hundreds of parents and kids leaving before it’s over. I gave it 2 starts because even know the show was lackluster my daughter and her friend did have a decent time and that is what matters.
