The first initiative of the fund is to build The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. The campus will permanently secure the future of wild gorillas in Rwanda by building on successful field conservation efforts, while empowering the people living near the gorillas to thrive in relationship to their own ecosystem. This project gives Ellen the opportunity to carry on the legacy of her hero, visionary scientist Dian Fossey, joining her as a protector and champion of the critically endangered mountain gorilla. DeGeneres has also brought awareness to the anti-bullying issue by creating a PSA titled, "Be Kind." Overall, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" has raised over $50 million for various causes, including global warming and breast cancer awareness.

    Wonderful Evening

by KenMcL on 8/20/18Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall - San Francisco

Ellen has such an engaging manner about her that you can't help but enjoy listening to her. For those who watch her on TV it had to have been a great treat to see her live. I remember her when she was a stand-up comedian so I particularly enjoyed her return to comedy. Be sure to check out her comedy special that will be on Netflix later this year.

    Loved the show!

by Anonymous on 8/20/18Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall - San Francisco

I love Ellen, and she did not disappoint us. I went with my adult girl children and a good friend. It was perfect. I can't say it was the funniest show I have ever seen but most of the show was comedy and I found it very funny. She also talked about her personal struggles. We enjoyed "getting to know her" a little better. She seems very down to earth. She also had a question and answer time that was fun and showed her quick wit. I came away with a happy grin and sore cheeks from laughing so much! I would definitely recommend this but don't think there are any more shows on her tour that aren't already sold out!

    WE GET IT....YOU'RE RICH

by Anonymous on 8/20/18Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall - San Francisco

I was really disappointed in this show. I was super looking forward to this show, but from right off the start, talking about how wealthy she is and trying to "relate" to normal people. Then she is talking about her famous friends, and how big her house is, and her wildlife safari to Rwanda....again we get it, you're loaded. The best part of the show was the Q&A with the audience at the end of the show, but when it came to her stand up....$200 wasted, and I am not as fortunate as Ellen

    Amazing!

by MeghanFace on 8/20/18Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall - San Francisco

I had such a wonderful time at the Ellen DeGeneres standup show. I thought it was brilliant that there was a process of being picked to purchase tickets early. I felt like it was a fair way to get “regular” people tickets, instead of a bunch of robots getting a ton of tickets and selling them for a ton of profit. The show itself was amazing. It was well organized and I felt there was enough staff to answer questions and help people out. Ellen was amazing. Hilarious stand up and then a Q and A session which was just so much fun. Would 100% go again.

    Ellen was amazing!

by redleg2917 on 8/19/18Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall - San Francisco

The venue is beautiful and clean. Ellen was funny, funny, funny!! She also talked about herself and made it more personal. The Q & A at the end of the show was a wonderful surprise. While I understand the reason, locking our phones in little bags was a pain. I feel very fortunate to have gotten the chance to see Ellen and would recommend her show to family and friends.

Ellen was amazing! I could not stop laughing. She is such a humble person, great writer and hilarious! I highly recommend her comedy show. Ellen filled up the room with laughter and love. Hands down one of the best comedians. After 15 years since her last show, I’d say she’s still got it and even better!

Awesome show! I laughed the entire time. Ellen is fabulous. Venue and people were kind, helpful, and courteous. Would have loved some type of “I’m here and saw Ellen” rememberence as no pics were allowed...a poster or t-shirt even.
