The campus will permanently secure the future of wild gorillas in Rwanda by building on successful field conservation efforts, while empowering the people living near the gorillas to thrive in relationship to their own ecosystem. This project gives Ellen the opportunity to carry on the legacy of her hero, visionary scientist Dian Fossey, joining her as a protector and champion of the critically endangered mountain gorilla. DeGeneres has also brought awareness to the anti-bullying issue by creating a PSA titled, "Be Kind." Overall, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" has raised over $50 million for various causes, including global warming and breast cancer awareness.

    A Conversation With Ellen DeGeneres

by CChaffins on 10/22/18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I paid $531.60 for three tickets to listen to Ellen tell stories, and I got 50 minutes of Ellen only replying to questions being asked by the interviewer. I could care less about a couple of me standing up for the Canadian We for She campaign, that is not what I was sold on or paid to see. I feel robbed and would like 3/4th of my money returned. If there were a way to give a zero star, I would. This is what I thought I was paying for: A Conversation with Ellen DeGeneres October 19 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm Friday, October 19, 2018 Instead, I was leaving the Arena at 8:52 pm and Ellen hadn't even been out for an hour!!

    Conversation with Ellen

    by Ellenfan2 on 10/22/18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Ellen was awesome as usual however the show was less than satisfying. The interviewer did not seem skilled enough to bring out the best of Ellen and the questions were less than stimulating for her or the audience to feel engaged. We paid over six hundred for the tickets so that we could see Ellen in action. We heard from mostly male CEO’s and sponsors who talked about the good work they do and about how they support women, yet where were those strong women who could have spoken for those companies. We had hoped that Ellen would be having this conversation with the audience rather than being tied to a limited, scripted indirect interview. We love Ellen so this was a very disappointing experience. Let’s invite Ellen back but without all of the sponsor controls. Call it Ellen unfettered.

    Ellen was disappointing

    by Tuts1 on 10/22/18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I was thoroughly disappointed by A Conversation with Ellen DeGeneres and regret having spent over $300 per ticket. She did nothing more than answer a few questions and receive accolades and applause for coming out over 20 years ago. What a great gig for her! No prep, no pressure, no performance to speak of, and millions of dollars in her pocket! I love Ellen but I thought this "show" was a rip-off.

    Horrible

by VinSab on 10/22/18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

The interview style was poor. Ellen was not engaged and looked like she would have rather been a 1000 other places. Not engaging at all.

    Ellen was in the house

by Guggastew on 10/22/18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

She was great, however I expected a bit more, a surprise or something, and the time went by too fast. I think she was on stage not less than 1.5 hours but not more than 1.25 hours. For the cost of the tickets, I just expected to walk out of there overwelmed and amazed, instead I walked out of there like "is that is, it was great, but is that it?". The commentator, didn't get his name, was super. His laugh and smile was over the top sincere. Hire him again !!!

    Ellen Rocks!

by SusieA on 8/22/18Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Ellen is so gracious and so funny! Thoroughly enjoyed the show. I thought I'd hyperventilate from laughing at the slow-driving Prius story - we've all been there! We were also impressed with the ticketing procedure which guaranteed no scalping or ticket resales. We were very happy to receive the email stating if you arrive late, you might lose your seat. It's so annoying to be enjoying the start of a show only to have a steady stream of late people blocking your field of vision as they find their seats. And, best of all -- if you showed up with a cellphone, it was locked in a case for the duration of the show. OMG, I love this idea!!! And, I just love Ellen! So thrilled for the opportunity to see her perform live!

Ellen didn't have much new to offer

by poodlepunk on 8/21/18Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall - San Francisco

I love Ellen. I think she's one of the most original and funny standups ever. This show, however, wasn't very good. In her old standup, I loved the sneaky subversive attitude, the slightly surreal riffs, the surprises and the charm. This has none of those. Material was stale (side effects warnings in drug commercials) and thin. Audience Q&A was a quarter of the time and mostly dull. So disappointing.

    Beautiful venue, amazing performer!

by NicFi on 8/20/18Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall - San Francisco

The Davies Symphony Hall is a beautiful venue and entry was smooth and quick. Although we were on the higher level the seats were still great and Ellen made an effort to connect with the whole audience making everyone feel welcome. Ellen was hilarious and set a tone of love and tolerance in all our hearts! My favorite part was after her 60+ minute standup she came out and took questions from the audience for another 45 minutes! What an awesome way to make her fans feel loved! Woo-hoo! We love you Ellen!

    Ellen was spectacular!!

by Lindsey17 on 8/20/18Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall - San Francisco

While I am a huge fan with a deep love of this lady, I do REALLY think her stand up act carried a punch to it. She was fun, she was positive, and most of all, she was relevant. :) I'd recommend her show, her stand up, her upcoming Netflix special, I'd literally recommend anything this woman does. If she chooses to spend time on a project, I feel comfortable saying I'm going to like it - what she touches is gold.
