EL TRI IN CONCERT:
In 2013, influential Mexican rockers El Tri continued their decade-spanning reign over Latin American music with the release of a Grammy-nominated new album, Ojo por Ojo . Releasing more than 30 albums over the last 40 years, El Tri have carried the torch for a generation of Latin rock bands, becoming as legendary for their hard-rocking live shows as they are for their recordings. Featuring drum solos, costumed Aztec dancers, and the preening showmanship of frontman Alex Lora, the band's 2013 tour dates were equal parts substance and spectacle, building excitement for another round of shows in 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed by singer Alex Lora in 1968, El Tri released their first 15 albums as Three Souls in My Mind before changing their name in 1985. The band's early work consisted mainly of English-language covers of American rock songs, however the changing attitudes of Mexico's youth culture led the band to begin performing songs in Spanish in the '70s. The shift struck a chord with disgruntled young rockers, boosting the band's popularity and leading to a string of working-class rock albums throughout the '70s and '80s. With the release of Simplemente In 1985, El Tri became the first Mexican rock outfit to score a gold record, setting the stage for their ever-increasing popularity throughout North and South America.

So the fans can jump and enjoyed the concert to the fullest. Also you have a security guy acting like he's the owner of the venue, he was seating people down on section 100, he had an attitude

But the Band was AWESOME and the Bartender at the bar closed to the restrooms rocked!

Venue was perfect in perfect spot from our hotel. The Neptune Theater is still a beautiful building and well taken care of.

by Nefiu on 3/17/23What a grate concert, it brought back so many childhood memories, sweet, sad and fun flashbacks. Alex voice is better than ever!! After so many performances for over 50 years and his voice is so strong and natural. He is a truly legit, natural born rocker. God bless Alex Lora!!!
