Eddie Izzard is a British comedian and actor born in Aden, Yemen. The genderfluid performer got her start in sketch comedy and street performance before launching her stand-up comedy career. Known for her rambling, stream-of-consciousness monologue style and self-referencing pantomime, Izzard won two Primetime Emmys for her 2000 special Dress to Kill. The comedian’s film and TV credits include Ocean’s Twelve (2004), Ocean’s Thirteen (2007), The Riches (2007), Valkyrie (2008), Cars 2 (2011), and The LEGO Batman Movie (2017). Izzard also earned a Tony nomination for the Broadway revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg. In 2024, she premiered her one-person adaptation of Hamlet, which will transfer to Chicago and London following its triple-extended run in New York City.

I didn’t know Izzard and I didn’t find him funny. I left the theater
Love Eddie!!! They are so bizarre and hilarious. They just seem to be making up the whole show as they go along. Absolutely a hilarious genius!
Eddie Izzard’s style is brilliant and storytelling is fascinating. We thoroughly enjoyed this show and the new material. Five stars!!!!
So funny, so much fun, absolutely on form. References to her best classic jokes but with different spins. New bits about bumblebees, spiders and back and forth in history. Amazing! Even if you’ve watched all previous shows like me, this is a don’t miss!!
I was so excited to see this show. Paid for up front seats a little to the side of the stage and the sound was terrible. There was a lot of echo. Eddie accent and echo not the best match.
I love Eddie Izzard and was disappointed I could only hear 50% of his show. I could not tap into the blue tooth system the Au Rene is supposed to have available now. There was no WiFi service. Really disappointing!
The sound of the microphone was horrible, could not hear Eddie Izzard properly, making it hard to get the jokes/humor, I've seen Eddie Izzard in the past and loved the shows, but this time maybe it was partly due to the sound, but it was all over the place as far as storyline and playing much more on sounds/gimmicks than actual jokes like in the past, I left after the first break, unfortunately...
Izzard delivered a wonderful performance. A mix of classics and relevant new commentary.
This was likely the funniest comedy show I’ve ever seen. Intellectual, quirky, surreal, and BRILLIANT.
What a fantastic show! For years, I have had so many of her orginal lines from the early 2000's on repeat in my head. It was so good to hear some of them in her voice again!
Great show from Eddie Izzard! Just the best balance of her classic stand-up that made us all fans with a mix of current observations and commentary in her frantic and energetic style! Remix was the perfect title!! I’m so glad she came to VA Beach after all these years and can’t wait to see her with whatever her brilliant mind comes up with next! My group of five have two newbies to her style and all of us had sore faces from laughing and smiling so much! The dose of laughter we need right now! Bravo!!!
Started off with an amazing entrance, some old material, some new, all entertaining, loved every moment. Glad to see they brought their humor to Virginia Beach! Highly recommended!
One of a kind, amazing and hilarious. If jokes were bullets, no one would have survived. Thanks, Eddie!
What can I say about Eddie Izzard? Any words would be a feeble attempt at describing this night. I was laughing the whole time, just truly enjoying the moment. I’m privileged to have experienced this in person. Don’t miss!
Izzard is well educated and knowledgeable and the performance reflected this. I loved the simple string of funny observations and feedback about newsworthy events in Europe and the US. And references, complaints, and funny skits relating to history, language, and religion were entertaining and even thought provoking. Definitely in the realm of Monty Python - a higher level of humour. Refreshing. Some of the material may have gone over the heads of some of the audience, or be unfamiliar to some of the audience, but most got it.
Eddie Izzard (Susie) in rare form. Laughed the entire time. Bucket list item for sure.
eddie was on a roll that night!!! best comedy show i’ve ever been to!
Eddie Izzard was fantastic! I was so excited to see Eddie for the first time. My cheeks hurt by the end of the show from all the laughing and smiling. I'm so glad we got to see this amazing show. Eddie Izzard you're a beautiful, funny, amazing person. Thank you for doing this tour❤️❤️
My husband and I have been huge fans for years, and introduced our daughter to Eddie/Susie’s shows when she was old enough, so she joined the fan club. It was an amazing show, we all thoroughly enjoyed it! Thanks for coming to our little corner of the country!
