About

Eddie Izzard is a British comedian and actor born in Aden, Yemen. The genderfluid performer got her start in sketch comedy and street performance before launching her stand-up comedy career. Known for her rambling, stream-of-consciousness monologue style and self-referencing pantomime, Izzard won two Primetime Emmys for her 2000 special Dress to Kill. The comedian’s film and TV credits include Ocean’s Twelve (2004), Ocean’s Thirteen (2007), The Riches (2007), Valkyrie (2008), Cars 2 (2011), and The LEGO Batman Movie (2017). Izzard also earned a Tony nomination for the Broadway revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg. In 2024, she premiered her one-person adaptation of Hamlet, which will transfer to Chicago and London following its triple-extended run in New York City.

Seems like there were some audible issues

by Brian on 11/8/23Majestic Theatre Dallas - Dallas

I've seen Eddie Izzard live at multiple venues over the last 20 years, totaling to about 12 times. I've seen him at the majestic at least four that I can remember. For whatever reason I could not understand anything that he was saying at this last show. I was very disappointed as my date who was a first-timer also could not make out 80% of what was being said. I don't think it was an audio issue, I think Eddie is just mumbling a lot these days, more so than the normal emphasis mumbling that is deliberately done for a fact, I think it really has bled into all of the verbiage. The audience reaction seemed to be about the same, only big laughs when certain words were used, things from previous shows and themes but any of the bulk of the content fell on deaf ears from what I could see and from what I experienced as a result of this inaudibility. I will always love Eddie Izard but I do hope that whatever this issue was gets resolved or I probably won't attend any more live shows.

by Kiki B on 11/8/23Majestic Theatre Dallas - Dallas

If you are looking for new material, you should be aware this is a remix tour and this a lot of bits you’ve probably already seen/heard. If you want to reminisce over some of your favorite bits with a couple thousand fans ands the artist - don’t miss it!

    Brilliant!

by ACCL on 11/8/23Cullen Theater at Wortham Center - Houston

If you haven't ever seen Eddie live, you're missing out. This is the second time that I've seen Eddie (the first was 15 years ago), and she just gets better with time. You have to enjoy current events and history, and not be easily offended by any manner material can be used in. Worth the 7 hour drive! Good luck in politics, Eddie!

    Horrible venue

by Krispex on 11/8/23Cullen Theater at Wortham Center - Houston

The sound was horrible and no one could hear. The seating was the worst and tightest I have ever experienced in Houston. Horrible venue. I have no idea how the comedian was, couldn't hear him.

    Eddie - Awesome as Always

by Dondon19 on 11/8/23Cullen Theater at Wortham Center - Houston

I have seen Eddie/Susie in person 4 times now. She is always a delight. She consistently makes me laugh and performs one of the best shows ever.

    Always Great, but…

by TexSun on 11/8/23Cullen Theater at Wortham Center - Houston

Hysterically funny, but that’s because I knew what was coming. The audio quality was awful - you could barely understand what was said. For those who knew what was going on, it was an outstanding performance. For newcomers, they were lost.

    Fantastic!!!

    by Locke/Lee on 10/31/23Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

I bought these tickets for my husband. He's the fan, originally. We really laughed. It was timely and (honestly) educational, as well. I appreciated that Izzard is going around the world trying to communicate in as many languages as he can to get his messages across. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. And the crowd was so amazingly diverse. I loved that!

    Classic Izzard

by Jane on 10/31/23McCaw Hall - Seattle

Great show… remastered classics… the crowd cheered the Death Star canteen. She appeared relaxed and the show was perhaps more intimate than other times I’ve seen her perform. All in all.. a fab night out

Eddie was as funny as ever. Impressed that she did the whole show in high heels 👠 I will go to any show she plays in the area in the future

    Not the best

by StevenJules on 10/29/23McCaw Hall - Seattle

So much of the show was a rehash of all the previous shows she has done over her career so it was slightly disappointing. She is an incredible entertainer and is very knowledgeable on a vast amount of varied subjects from ancient history to current affairs and is always able to create humor with her storytelling but too many times you felt you knew what was coming next.

    Beware the Beacon Theatre balcony

by Tatyana on 10/28/23Beacon Theatre - New York

Was so excited to see Eddie Izzard again. Unfortunately, I purchased tickets late and ended up in the Beacon Theatre's balcony. Acoustics/sound were so bad that we could only make out every other word or so. Left at intermission. Beacon Theatre refused to refund. Unbelievably disappointing experience.

    Always amazing and wonderful

by Wakil on 10/27/23McCaw Hall - Seattle

Eddie never fails to keep us laughing with her physical improvisational genius. She brought back some old favorite themes, but they were still full of surprises and craziness. Even by the intermission my sides and cheeks were already sore from grinning and laughing. She is definitely one of the best - so if you can get a ticket, don't miss her!

Could have been a Netflix show and saved me money

by Disappointed fan on 10/27/23McCaw Hall - Seattle

The show was slow and the topics/jokes rambled for too long between laughs. The material was dated and not in touch with today’s current events. The whole thing would have been better as a Netflix documentary looking back and Eddie’s life, career, and what’s next for him. Could have showed some of the original standup shows…would have been a better value of my money and time .

    Susie/Eddie GREAT! Sound HORRIBLE

by Lorenzo on 10/27/23McCaw Hall - Seattle

The sound was so bad, we only heard about 1/2 of Susie's/Eddie's stories. Very frustrating, especially at $100/ticket. This was the first time I've been to a concert at McCaw Hall. I had high expectations. I was disappointed.

    It was okay

by DJ on 10/27/23McCaw Hall - Seattle

It wasn't one of his finest performances. It was also difficult to understand him.

    He didn’t disappoint

by Randor on 10/27/23McCaw Hall - Seattle

Been a fan of Eddie’s for years and he didn’t disappoint. Couldn’t always hear him clearly at times, I was wondering what everyone was laughing about. A screen behind him for those of us in the upper level would have been nice.(could see him up close, eg)

Great show! Always fun to see Eddie in action. He definitely has our support in the Native American community (Yakama!).
