Better than "Cake or Death?"
by Quenchers on 1/9/10United Center - ChicagoSo Fantastic! (obviously) This was his first show for his new American Tour, so we got to hear jokes that he wasn't sure would work... it was cool to see him second guess himself at times and make notes of the kinks or say, "well, I'm not sure how to end that scene." Highlights: Latin is hard scene where Eddie portrays 2 Roman soldiers trying to convey the message "Alexander is coming!" in 5-7 minutes of fakish latin. God lives on the dark side of the moon with his pal the squirrel, "Oh man! it was terrible!", a velociraptor wearing a cap disguised as a human, and a giant squid who journals throughout the course of history. Overall, his routine was more of a call for peace and human harmony, verses religion and fundamentalism. This was a refreshing and unexpected bout of activism on the part of everyone's favorite action transvestite. "Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story" - premiering Feb 2010!
