  • So blessed and grateful to see and hear Jordan Peterson live

by Joanie on 1/31/22Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

His lecture was compelling. I am surprisingly still unpacking it a week later. Much food for thought. His last words to us were those of admonishment, “PAY ATTENTION!” Those words still reverberate in my mind, and I will continue to seriously embrace them.

  • The REAL Jordan Peterson

    by Kimkat311 on 1/31/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

After reading his books and watching his recordings, I wanted to see him live and verify my impression of him. I believe he is authentic. His presence, books, and videos line-up completely and transparently. Jordan Peterson is the REAL deal.

  • Outstanding Lecture

    by SpiderMan1975 on 1/31/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first lecture, outside of a university setting. I have been following Dr. Peterson for 4 years now, and he did not disappoint. I live in Louisiana and this was the closest venue to me, and I did not want to miss the opportunity to see Dr. Peterson live. The only thing that confused me was I paid the VIP price, but did not get to meet Dr. Peterson. The only thing I received extra was a poster. The exact details of what I was paying for were not clearly written out. Other than this minor detail I really enjoyed this event, and would return to see Dr. Peterson again

  • My second time

by Waco Kid on 1/31/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my second time seeing Dr. Peterson, I was a VIP last time, this time I purchased Artist Pre-Sale. It was a sold out house, I was fascinated to hear his lecture, and I felt better for days just having been there. It was meaningful. It was a good use of my time. Highly recommended.

  • The greatest philosopher of our time

by Frank on 1/30/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Jordan Peterson was excellent! Very intellectual and thoughtful, charismatic and enigmatic altogether. I loved how deep his lectures go… from politics and academia to religion and science… he’s got it all down to keep us interested. Definitely looking forward to future live events!

  • It was good, I just wanted more time.

by Carlos Rosas Romero on 1/30/22Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

There was nothing wrong with the lecture, I simply wanted it to be longer. It felt like it was too short or maybe its because time flies when I'm actually interested in the topic.

  • The audio was excellent and the speaker's words wise as usua

by Jordon was ON as always! on 1/30/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

First time to this venue. Clearly, people do not read and this created needless confusion and a lot of angry people outside the venue. There were lots of people wranglers but the execution was inconsistent.. A small bullhorn to amp up volume when telling people the rules would have been helpful. Better yet, signs next to the lineup area could have let people know way ahead of time so people had time to run back to a car or get a COVID test, or seek out someone to band them to be able to drink. BEFORE the doors opened.. An additional sign noting the VIP and Box Office would be helpful too. Rules are presumably the same for every event, so signs would not be a one-time investment. *COVID vaccination card or proof of negative test within 72 hours required * A third-party COVID rapid test available for $40. * Women needed clear purses. * Show ID and get banded before entry if you want to drink * Bar does not take cash, but debit card can be bought at the bar. People were out an hour before the show to check ID and band those old enough to drink, but needed to be moving up and down the waiting line instead of doing it at the start of the line once the doors opened. Once inside, the sections and rows were clearly marked, but seat numbers were on the bottom of the seat with random other numbers on the top back of the chair, which created confusion. The bar is inconveniently located with the line bumping into people entering. The bar debit card purchase could be located outside the door near security where people who see the signs could go buy it ahead of entry. The event started late because of the chaos. Dr. Peterson was worth the hassle, but it was just unnecessary.

  • Amazing Evening

by HugginthePost on 1/30/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

It was every thing that you’d hope for with regards to an evening with one of the most intelligent people on the planet. We all need to be listening to Dr. Peterson, if we were, this planet would be a lot better place. He’s a civilized centrist, as most of us are, and is ready to call out the ridiculous takes on both the far left and right. We will be going again when he is back in Houston on the 7th of February.

  • Amazing

by Carla on 1/30/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Love to hear J Peterson yet the vaccine passport or negative test to enter the venue was pathetic! What a way to make money and discourage people from attending events. Those of us with the vaccine have had COVID and can be contagious to others so stop this nonesense and abusing the American people! We are so over it

  • Be. Better.

by Corbin on 1/30/22Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

I recap of recent events in Canada, a deep dive into the duality of humans with examples from Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany, explanations for unearned wisdom due to Psychedelics, and more. Dr Peterson was well received and was gracious to us all for participating in a dialog. The q&a session was well explained. I forget every question but it was enlightening. Would be nice to be allowed to have a phone out to take notes, but sitting in the "pit" to use a rock/metal term, meant the phones would be visible to him, so he asked politely we keep them put up and quiet.

  • Fatastic experiece

Easy to purchase the tickets on ticketmaster and the show was amazing.

  • Ironing out the kinks

by Bryon on 1/30/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

Loved the Peterson experience as this was my first time in person seeing the professor. There were moments of laughter, thought and insight however peterson’s tangential approach , which is absolute asset, this night led to a less than optimal outcome. At times it was difficult to follow, hard to make out the points and too far off point. (Do not carelessly deride social institutions ). All things considered it was enjoyable and this was only night two. I will be back Feb. 7 as any lecture takes time to develop. I can’t wait to see how much momentum is gained by then.

  • Phenomenal!

What a rare thing to behold! To watch and listen to a human being stand up and share his learnings and raw thinking while trying to tackle difficult societal problems live - You’ve got to experience JBP!

  • Love Peterson. Hate jumping through hoops

    by M. R. on 1/30/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

Jordan Peterson was as thought provoking as ever. His gift is inviting you to look inside yourself to see where you can improve, and make the world a better place in the process. That gift was well represented that night. The hoops we had to jump through just to get in to Bayou Music Center were ridiculous, however. We had to show a recent negative Covid test or vaccination record (as if having the vaccine prevents one from spreading the disease.) Is this “show your papers” NAZI Germany? Women weren’t allowed to bring purses in of any average size. The security line was every bit as rigorous as you’d find in an airport. Tons of security theater everywhere. If this is the policy of BMC, we will not be going back.

  • Amazing speaker/intellectual - life changing experience

by davem on 1/30/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

The topic of the day was the 1st half of the 1st rule from Beyond Order: Do not “casually denigrate” social institutions. He talked about meetings he had in the UK, US, and Canada with government officials (present and post) - in the case of Canada, a recent podcast he had done on the “Constitutional crisis” - but most of it on the US, with regards to a trip he and Gregg Hurwitz had to Washington DC to meet with “moderate” Democratic politicians. While I hate politics, just hearing him as he weighed contradictory thoughts and experiences as he decided on proper courses of action was amazing to see - hard to describe, but it was unlike something I've seen elsewhere.

  • Hoped For More

by RedWine on 1/30/22Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater - AustinRating: 3 out of 5

Disappointed that it was just him rambling, discussing ideas already widely shared on YouTube and his Instagram. Would have preferred a prepared topic and more than 3 questions responded to.

  • Amazing!

by BJJ on 1/29/22Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing! Dr Peterson spoke to a diverse audience for two hours with no gap in their attention to him. Sitting in a section with more men than women, most younger than me and my husband and we all were 100% engaged. His insights and mastery of every topic he spoke on as well as answering the questions afterward required our total attention and rewarded us with his final admonition to pay attention; and be better. You’d have to hear his whole talk to know that is a perfect conclusion and drew a standing ovation. His encouragement and belief in us all left us wanting to read his books or listen to him more. I’m ready to hear him again!

From easy parking to the quick line to the good sound system, I enjoyed the evening. How about some big screen TV's on either side to show the talent?
