  • Excellent venue for great lecture

by Enlightened Bacon on 4/19/22Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Dr. Peterson lecture was amazing. He covered one chapter of his new book and the path he went down was enlightening. The question and answer portion was just as good. The Stifel Theatre is beautiful and a great venue for this event. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely attend another event here.

  • exactly what I needed to hear

by room for improvement on 4/18/22Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

We bought tickets to the show in Cedar Rapids, IA right before Dr. Peterson announced that he would also do an event in St. Louis, MO. So we bought tickets to that show too because...why not?? When he started the show in St. Louis, he said "Tonight I'm going to talk about rule 6, Abandon Ideologies." And I thought; Oh no...he's going to do the exact same talk with the same allegories and metaphors. And I wondered if I was going to be entranced by it the second time like I was the first time. But then he got started and it was going in a different direction. He spent an hour and fifteen minutes building an entirely different case for the rule than he had in Iowa. My fear was that he would tell the same story and I would discover that he was just parroting himself, but that's not at all what happened! And, we were pleasantly surprised when he began weaving in allegories of the crucifixion. After all, we were there on Holy Thursday.

Bathrooms easily accessible, clear signs with where seats are. Beautiful theater.

  • Inspiring

by Evan R on 4/17/22The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Tammy started the show relating recent events in her life to rule number five of Dr. Peterson's latest book - "do not do what you hate." Her story, alone, was inspiring. Dr. Peterson followed her five-minute mini lecture, and carried my imagination away with thought-provoking intellection. I was entranced for nearly the entire talk. I'm looking forward to seeing him again.

  • Grateful to have heard him speak in person

by Matt C on 4/17/22Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Dr. Peterson spoke for an hour about one of the chapters in his newest book Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life. He very poignantly discussed the dangers of ideology interweaving religious parable and current social issues. A contemporary of Carl Jung, Dr. Peterson endeavors to use psychology to elucidate the source code of human nature. An invaluable human mind.

We were in the presence of a master teacher and man of wisdom who was at the top of his game. He knew what he wanted to say, and we could sense him processing it as it unfolded. A firm yet gentle voice of reason dealing effectively with very thorny issues. Jordan Peterson is a treasure. So happy this happened in St. Louis!

  • Peterson STL Apr 2023

by Mack on 4/17/22Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Peterson’s presentation was outstanding as was the taking of audience questions. The meet & greet well the additional costs. However, the fact that the meet & greet details weren’t available until 2 days before sucked. For the cost charged the details should be ready at least a week in advance. Perhaps not all the details, but at least the where and when and how the credentials will be distributed.

  • An Adventure of Discovery

by Zinger on 4/17/22Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The majority of the crowd was sitting forward in suspense of the next word. Dr. Peterson’s lectures aren’t “lectures” they are discussions and journeys of discovery. You start with some seemingly simple question or rule, take a trail down ancient history, a wind through scientific concepts, and a little sidestep of his clinical experience all to somehow arrive together at this state of mind where one more aspect of yourself, your life, and the universe somehow makes sense in a way it never before had. Nothing is forced, but merely invited to come along this endeavor with him as though the thoughts bubble up naturally from the subconscious realm of chaos and then perfectly find as much order as can be managed in a little over an hour. You leave a little better than you arrived.

Dr. Peterson has an unmatched talent for relating old stories to modern problems. I would have to rewatch the same lecture about 3 times before I could understand the gravity of his explanations. Truly one of the most important thinkers of the day.

  • The best live performance I’ve ever seen.

by Nick on 4/17/22Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

My personal and professional life have been greatly influenced by this person. After a long difficult few years, I wanted to tell him as much; so we bought the meet and greet tickets. The lecture was fantastic and furthered his ideas into new territory. He was impressive in his attentiveness during the meet and greet, making sure to get every single person’s name correct. The q&a afterward was genuine and conversational. I don’t know how a man of his age and health could have such intense long term focus. 150 people had a brief conversation, and questions were by no means thematic. Peterson managed to handle each interaction genuinely and thoughtfully. It was worth every penny.

We were anticipating this experience for so long and Dr Peterson did not disappoint. He is such a brilliant thinker and an engaging speaker. Seeing him was a thrill but seeing how this disparate audience received him with such admiration was absolutely inspiring!
