I was spellbound during her entire talk. The songs added, to make it a magical evening. I was very motivated from her talk to do my part in helping our environment thrive and not be diminished by human activities.

    Absolutely amazing!

by Hank on 4/2/24Moore Theatre - Seattle

Jane Goodall has to be the most legendary and influential animal behaviorist and environmentalist of past, present, and future generations. She is positive, enthusiastic, and straight forward in her presentation that spurs all audiences to concrete and effective solutions for our collective future. At at 90 years of age, she is sharp as a tack and so inspirational. What an amazing blessing for our world!

It's so good to meet her at the theater, and her speech was so infectious. "Everyone of you makes a difference every single day."She mentioned that this was the most important thing. I felt encouraged by her. Thanks and Happy Birthday to her.

It was almost like seeing a deity, only a real one for once, not the fake American hypocrite type.

Jane was lovely - the interviewer, not so much

    by Thee_Diana_B on 10/15/23Meridian Hall - Toronto

Jane was her usual lovely self. She makes the world a better place - she gives you hope. The interviewer for the Q&A part was awful. She was not mentally mature enough to ask Jane questions. She seemed uncomfortable and didn’t know how to respond to Jane’s answers. She was awful!!!!!!!! Thankfully the event ended perfectly with video of Wounda. 🥲

    Very poor image on screens

by Mac on 10/15/23Meridian Hall - Toronto

I could not see Jane's face on the monitors. The lighting was so bad that it was just a grey shadow. This spoiled what would otherwise have been a great evening.

Dr Jane Goodall - Global treasure!

by MOJOVATOR on 10/15/23Meridian Hall - Toronto

From the standing ovation when the 89 year young force of nature stepped onto the stage until the standing “o” almost 2 hours later, every moment was life changing. Her 60+ commitment, dedication and endless compassion is unparalleled, as is her humility and tenacity in protecting the planet along with wildlife, especially chimpanzees. The heartfelt stories touched me so deeply and all in the audience. We laughed, we cried—tears of joy and sorrow—we applauded and cheered. So grateful for all that she has done for over six decades. Next week she leaves for the Amazon! Simply amazing! It was a 1000 miles round trip to hear you speak and share your life’s work and continued journey. Thank you, Dr. Goodall, from the bottom of my heart!

    Inspiring

by Johnny on 10/15/23Meridian Hall - Toronto

I could listen to Dr. Goodall speak for hours. For nearing 90 she is still firing on all cylinders. Even though I though I knew her story, her retelling of her life filled in some of the blanks... and I am sure there is still more. The second half of the evening fell a little flat for me. The first part of the evening was just Jane speaking. The second was a Q&A session with a journalist from the Narwhal. We felt that the questions were lackluster and ill prepared, almost like she was asked to produce and perform these questions 20 minutes before going on stage. Not the caliber of questioning I would have expected for someone with her impressive resume.

    A true inspiration!

by Grateful on 10/15/23Meridian Hall - Toronto

Listening to Jane share life stories was truly a heart felt experience. Her knowledge and passion for helping all living things is inspiring and truly inspirational. She lit a spark in me that will last a lifetime! Her light will shine on the world for generations to come. The interview was a little disappointing. The interviewer was unorganized and her questions lacked depth and knowledge. They didn’t allow space for Jane to share deeper insights into her experiences. It would have been to hear more about Jane’s challenges, her experiences, her wisdom of how we can work together to heal this planet. I would definitely like to see Jane again!

It was lacking the fullness that I anticipated.

    by N/A on 10/15/23Meridian Hall - Toronto

The venue was great. Meridian Hall was large and capable of handling thousands. The staff were friendly and eager to assist. Refreshments were adequate; the seating was comfortable and easily accessed. I knew minimal history about Jane Goodall other than her world wide reputation in her study of chimpanzees and how they relate to mankind. I was disappointed to hear less information about her amazing life path. Her expression about her studies and experiences were fascinating but overtaken by her fundraising efforts. Her final 5 minute video was an example of what I expected of the evening. I went thinking I would learn about where she lived in Tanzania and how she lived in the jungle. What was her scientific methods? How has her studies been carried forward by her foundation? What are the animal scientists discovering today? I wanted photos, videos and stories about her 6 decade research and why mankind needs to learn and understand more as she did. The final interviewer at the end did not anything. I did not enjoy that portion of the evening. Unfortunately, I realized that my ticket price allowed me to hear the need for financial support to her foundation. Not what I wanted to hear from a once in a life time personal session with an amazing person. I did not hear enough about her studies and experiences to encourage my financial support other than my ticket portion.

What a great opportunity to see this amazing scientist in person and hear her stories of working with the chimps! Wonderful to hear of her continuing work with Roots and Shoots and other programs to inspire young people and others to care for the environment. The venue was great for viewing and listening and the staff were so helpful with my Dad in his wheelchair.
