    Unhappy

by Taniajj on 4/30/14St. George Theatre - Staten Island

I was very disappointed in show. The costumes were awful, stage set was awful. I don't know why they would do a performance like that. My 2 year old was asking me who are those people are.Reason why is the costume were so bad there faces were showing and were such poor quality. I do not recommend it.

    Dora was great

by Salsatoon on 4/30/14St. George Theatre - Staten Island

The show was great my 4 year old daughter loved the show,it was priceless seeing her face glow with joy. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars because at the end Dora was at the lobby to take pictures with the kids and the staff was not organized the place was chaotic .

    Terrible!

by Anonymous on 4/30/14St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Do not go to Dora live or this venue on Staten Island. The show was worse than a high school production, and the theatre was falling apart. Total waste of time and money.

As a first time experience it was good.

by Anonymous on 4/30/14St. George Theatre - Staten Island

While the kids had fun at this event the event itself was just decent. Very hard to hear in mezz level where my family was sitting. Costumes were basic and overall quality wasn't good.

    Dora: Great Space, poor sound

by SIfamilyof4 on 4/30/14St. George Theatre - Staten Island

We always enjoy going to the beautiful St. George theater. But the sound was really a problem. It was a disappointment. We urge the installation of a better sound system.

    horrible

by jspo0403 on 5/15/13St. George Theatre - Staten Island

The tickets weren't expensive but I would not see this show again if you paid me. The costumes were cheap and looked like they were left over Halloween costumes from 10 years ago.. The acting was horrible. My 2 yr old loves Dora but was not the least bit enthused. Her favorite part of the whole show was eating the popcorn I bought her at the refreshment stand.

Dont waste your money and time

by cee183 on 4/30/13St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Totally disappointed……We attend a lot of shows, (Yo Gabba Gabba, fresh Beat, Sesame Street, Etc) never have I been so disappointed in a show, It started 20 min late, Dora didn’t speak Spanish, the only character that looked similar to himself was” Swiper”, The actors seemed to be all teenagers, Diego’s microphone was off the whole time, No one can hold a note on their own, The only paraphernalia sold in the theater was a flashlight that had a soccer ball on it, nothing with Dora on it, they guys outside of the theater were selling better stuff, The actors were moving the set themselves, ( in the open- not behind curtains, I could go on and on, But I’m pretty sure I made my point,,,,,,PARENTS!! Stay away from this one.

    Save your money!!!!

by MommySI2 on 4/30/13St. George Theatre - Staten Island

The whole show lasted about 1/2 hour it took longer to get in & seated..... The costumes the characters wore looked so cheap the setup of the stage was not impressive at all I have seen a better set up at elementary plays. I would have had more fun at the park for sure. The tickets were $15 not much but def not worth it for this show at all.

    Dora the explorer was horrible!!!!

by Lphollywood on 4/30/13St. George Theatre - Staten Island

This show is awful. The characters are played by people wearing nasty run down costumes. My daughter was horrified. Boots costume was half on an u could see his face. Why wouldnt they have the costumes where the person was inside and your not able to see the face. I would like my money back if i could get it. Horribly disappointed in this and the portrail of thr show. I was under the impression that the characters would look like the show.

    Too short

by Leah1111 on 4/30/13St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Hey, We came all the way from manhattan for the show and it seemed to be too short it was about 40-45 min. Just felt it could be 25 min longer. The show it self was great and my daughter had good time.

    Not really engaging for kids.

by Giaaa on 4/30/13St. George Theatre - Staten Island

They need something more animated to keep them engaged. It was ok, but I wouldn't go back and see it again.

    Disappointing

    by tonice5 on 6/19/12Sherman Theater - Stroudsburg

The ad was misleading. It made it look like a Nickelodeon production when, in fact, it was community theater with real actors. The performance was poor, the theater needs to be updated, and it was an overall disappointing experience. My 2 year old daughter was expecting to see Dora, Boots, and others (in costume), not real actors made up to look like them (and the dog being carried around like a puppet by a live person). I think the ad needs to be more specific. My family drove 1 hour to see this and it was not worth it. Do not recommend!
