    Dolby Theatre tour

    by JBird on 7/21/23

We booked a tour of the Dolby Theatre as part of our LA trip last week. It met our expectations. The tour guide was informational, had a good sense of humor, and moved throughout quickly. His sound system was a bit sketchy, unless you were in front of him it was hard to hear. Good to have seen the back stage, however once was plenty and won't plan to return.

    Niceeee!

    by KS on 7/21/23

Lovely tour. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide went an extra mile to tell us about the place. Lovely to see the place where the Oscars take place and to see the real Oscar award at such a close distance too.

Not a lot of bang for your Buck

by Ryan Wellence on 6/24/23Dolby Tours - Hollywood

It's a 30 minute tour of the theater from entrance to exit for the price of $25/adult. That's a lot compared to other museums or attractions around the area. The tour is pretty much sight-based with mild amounts of information. What that means is what you see is what the tour guide will tell you. My tour guide didn't have a big group that morning and wasn't always keeping us engaged, just walking through each room a little slowly talking through the mic. Is the theater cool, of course, it holds the Oscars, America's Got Talent, and World Premieres. But for $25 it feels more like I'm paying for the celebrities' drinks for next year's Oscars. I wish there were more stories about production of events, and not just about the celebrities.

    Awful guide

by Mimi on 6/11/23Dolby Tours - Hollywood

Guide’s attitude was terrible. It couldn’t be more obvious he didn’t want to do the tour

    Tour Guide Good

by KD on 5/20/23Dolby Tours - Hollywood

The tour itself was short, showing nothing backstage and concentrating mainly on the Oscars. I would have liked to see more of the actual theatre. Tour guide was very good.

    Good experience but short

by Ivan on 3/29/23Dolby Tours - Hollywood

It was great because you can see the theatre inside and is exciting, but I think ir is too short by the price you pay, and maybe it could be better tour with more information, more places to see and longer tour.

    Waste of money

by CrappyDolby on 3/27/23Dolby Tours - Hollywood

they were building a set so we were shown the theater from a balcony and that was it. Extremely underwhelming.

Superb tour of the Oscars in the venue it occurs in.

by Nic M. on 11/22/22Dolby Tours - Hollywood

Concise (30-min) tour of the Dolby Theatre that is Oscars-focussed. My guide (Andy) was excellent. We covered the making of the statues, the politics of the Academy, the route the nominees take that night, and the numerous after-parties among other topics. As a bonus, I was the only person who signed up for the tour on my time slot so had an impressive one-on-one experience to boot. Highly recommended!!

    Excellent tour!

by Pippa on 9/12/22Dolby Tours - Hollywood

Even though the tour is only 30 minutes, our guide (Andy) really packed in all the sights and gave us some wonderful information with answers to all our questions. We had an even better time than we did on the same tour 16 years ago. Thank you!!

    Great tour, but very short.

by Cam on 8/30/22Dolby Tours - Hollywood

Really great tour. Mine was led by someone who’d done the Oscars over five times. Your was only 30mins, would have been great to be longer.

    Underwhelming

by Filipe on 7/12/22Dolby Tours - Hollywood

The tour lasted around 22 minutes. It was nice to see the theatre and the guide was knowledgeable, but I feel like it was incredibly overpriced for what it offered.

The Dolby Theatre Tour was exceptionally good!

by Aggie on 2/21/22Dolby Tours - Hollywood

We have lived in SoCal for over 20 years and never done this tour. We took our 13 Year old grandson from San Francisco and we loved it! We learned alot about what the experience of being on-stage during the Academy Awards is like and how the production is staged. The tour guide had a wonderful personality, her knowledge on details and ability to answer questions was terrific. She took the time and did not rush at all, and was very professional in her presentation. She gave us an amazing experience.

    Not worth the trip

by Refinnej on 1/31/22Dolby Tours - Hollywood

Really a disappointment. About a 20 minute tour with no real information other than the basics. The guide was pretty lackluster and really did not want to be there. To top it off, Hollywood Blvd has really gone downhill if that is even possible. On the plus side I got my 10,000 steps in looking for food.

Great way to know a little more of the Oscar Ceremony

by MonicaVega on 10/21/21Dolby Tours - Hollywood

It was on time. The guide was funny and show us everything related the Oscar. 30 min was enough related the cost.

BEYOND PERFECT. AMAZING. WHAT A DREAM!!!

by Erica G on 10/5/21Dolby Tours - Hollywood

OMG WHERE DO I START!? I am an actor. I am obsessed with the Academy Awards. I even had my own solo party this past year. Decor, food, a dress, everything. When I saw this being offered, I knew I had to fit it into my visit. It was everything I could have hoped for and more. I was in tears during the entire thing. Our tour guide was just fantastic - kind, knowledgeable, and even made the visit so special for me, as he could see I was a huge fan. I regret not asking his name, so if he sees this, I’d love to just thank him. The tour was the highlight of my entire trip. I wish it had been longer. I will for sure be doing it again when I come back another time!!
