    Fantastic Show

by nsbaxter on 3/15/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

This is the third time I've seen The Lion King since it first came out. It never ceases to be a great show. The performers are superb, every one of them. My 7-year old daughter loved it too. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

    Great for grown ups too!

by I Grateful Gramy on 3/15/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I took my 3 grandkids and they really enjoyed it. But the adults in the theater including myself seemed to like it even more than the kids. The music and dancing was good. The actors were outstanding. It was a fun time for all.

    Family Fun Afffair

by Happy Grandma on 3/14/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

OMG!!!! Although, I had already seen The Lion King over 20 years ago, I gifted my teenaged grandchildren, daughter, friend, son and daughter-n-law, an experience that was magical, fun, exuberating, and joyful!!! They were elated, and happy to have such a great night out. The love and kisses were not so bad either:) The looks on their faces, were priceless!!! I think all families should experience the fantastic, majestic, and joyful time at The Lion King extravaganza. The cast, colors, scenes, songs, and dance made me clap, stomp my feet, and giggle throughout the whole show.

    Aw Struck

by Kim on 3/14/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I took my daughter a few years ago and this week i took my Granddaughter. The production is just amazing. Laughter and tears. The music is great. The beautiful voices of the cast stays inside your heart- listening to the sound track for three hour on my drive home. I can't get enough.

It is NOT the world's #1 musical

by Ed on 3/14/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

It looked low budget even though I'm sure it wasn't. The puppetry is the worst. Costumes, music, everything lackluster. This will be my last Disney musical.

    Stunning...but one scene wasn't necessary

by Jamie M. on 3/14/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

First, who doesn't love the Lion King?! It's a feast for the senses. Beautiful costumes, amazing scenery, and music most everyone knows and loves. However, this latest version includes a scene that was, at best, creepy. The scene where Scar makes advances towards Nala does nothing to move the story along and gives off a rapey vibe. Clearly not something Disney would want to be associated with so it's surprising to see it on stage. The rest of the story is great. It's a shame Timon's Hula dance and song about Pumba being bacon is out...reconsider adding it back Disney.

    Delighted

by Grandma on 3/14/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I took my 6 yr old granddaughter to this for her first theatrical production. I love musicals and knew this would captivate her. We were not disappointed. It was well executed with dynamic actors and vocal excellence. Thank you cast.

    The Lion King

by Sdwms on 3/14/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

The play was better than I expected. The performance was wonderful. Th Pantages lobby could stand to be bigger. Between people selling items and trying to get to restrooms and buy snacks...the lobby was horrible.

    Beautiful Play!

by Dee on 3/14/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I ordered tickets for myself and my two sisters as Christmas gifts last year. We attending the March 11th performance, and LOVED IT!! The therater itself was beautiful, I loved the interior design of it. The play was fantastic, beautiful performance and visually breathtaking! The only thing negative, is the lack of handicap accsess to the second mezzanine seating. I have osteoarthritis, and walk with a cane, so all the stairs was a problem. Hopefully one day, an elevator can be placed for top level seats. Overall the experience was wonderful, and I'm sure ill be attending future's plays! Well done Lion King performers!!

    Visually enchanting!

I was completely blown away by the costumes, music, and visual affects. Loved every moment and would see again in a heart beat!

    VISIBLY DATED

by WMC on 3/13/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

The costumes looked warn and tattered. The company looked a bit drained and exhausted (the dancers, especially the lionesses were out of synch). Good thing the music, story and singing were still captivating.

    Great show, questionable sound.

by mgeis on 3/12/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I have seen Lion King multiple times in multiple venues. It is one of my favorites!! While the show was great, the sound was not. Normally the songs are very powerful and anthem-like. Because the sound was poor, the songs were somewhat lackluster. I don’t know if it was a show issue or a venue issue. I saw Mean Girls a few weeks ago and the sound was great. I was a little disappointed.

    Excellent Performance

by Fal on 3/11/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I previously saw the performance and was mesmerized by the artistic display of talent and rendition of the movie. I was originally skeptical of a cartoon becoming a performance with live actors but my skepticism faded with the opening song. I knew my parents and cousin would also enjoy it so I purchased tickets for us to attend as a family. They were just as impressed as I was the first time I saw the performance and the second time for me was just as magical as the first, My gamily talked about it for days after we attended. The actors move with very realistic animal like movements and the color are vibrant. The actors were superb and it definitely is a must see.

    Delicious

by Meredith on 3/11/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

Everything about the show was incredible and captivated me from start to finish. It was my first time seeing it. The voices were clear and exuberant. The puppetry was amazing, like nothing I've ever seen before. I especially liked the graceful cheetah and the antelope. The actors were all adept at working the puppetry and costumes while delivering their performances impeccably. The costumes were beautiful. I was stunned by the actor who played Timon. Is that his real voice? He spoke and sang all in character. Absolutely incredible and fun performance all around.

    Amazing

by Amy on 3/11/23Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

The costumes, the sets, the props were incredible! The music was beautiful and the characters were all so fun and engaging. I took my 10 year old daughter, and she was smiling and in awe the entire show. Seeing her face light up was one of my favorite mother/daughter memories in a long time. One of the best musicals of all time!
