Passport to mediocre, buy the cheap seats

by DisneyFanSharona on 10/1/13Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego

The show was OK, kind of boring. The skating had mistakes, not in sync. The costumes were old, worn in places, dirty in some cases. The Milo/Stitch segment was very bad. Too long, not enough good content, boring. I guess the show was OK for very young children, 5 and younger maybe. My niece is 9 and she didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the other Disney on ice shows we've seen. As for the Sports Arena, it gets a poor rating. The food prices are outrageous, $12 for a bag of disgusting tasting cotton candy that tasted like Pine Sol and dish soap. We were chased out of our seats after the show by an employee because the next show was starting in 45 minutes. We were taking a picture of my niece next to the ice. We were just about to leave and she told us to leave, not in a very nice way either. I paid a pretty penny for front row tickets, I don't think it was worth it.

    dissapointed

by JMBW on 10/1/13Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego

I took my two grand daughters ages 4 and 5 to show. they were dressed in their beautiful princess dresses all excited to see Disney princesses. The characters were a big disapointment. The only character they were familiar with was Arial and Tinkerbell. There was a very long part with characters Milo and Stitch which was very hard to follow and we were completely unfamiliar with. I wish Disney had stayed with the traditional characters, ex. Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, ect. Although the skating was great and the costumes were Disney quality, the content was not. I would not have taken them if I had known the show we were going to see. Next time I will be sure to find out which characters are going to be in the show.

    Very Disappointed

by Disneysuperfansandiego on 10/1/13Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego

We are big fans of anything Disney, we go to the parks often and the ice shows. We took our 2 year old grand daughter. We purchased corner seats in the first row so no one would block her from seeing the ice show. She was so excited to see Peter Pan and group, it has been all she was talking about!!!! Once the Peter Pan part of the show began there is a part where the ship they are on breaks apart and the front portion of the ship had a large skeleton on the front of it. That portion of the ship landed right in front of our view of the stage. For the rest of the show we nor our 2 year old grand daughter could see the show!!!! She spend the next 15 or so minutes staring at the scary skeleton. So disappointed!!!!!

Show was great, brought back find memories of my childhood Disney classics. The seats were super uncomfortable but we had good seats. Parking was pricey at $15!

    We loved it!

by cecilyna on 10/1/13Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego

This show was great and lots of fun for me and my family. I have a 6 year old and a 16 month old, and thought for sure my toddler would be bored after a while. She LOVED the whole show and only got wiggly at the very end. She especially loved Little Mermaid and exclaimed "wowww" the whole time. My 6 year old and hubby loved it and we all couldn't help singing along throughout the show. Obviously it's Disney, so the snacks were WAY overpriced. We brought in water bottles and granola bars and sprung for the $10 cotton candy. Even if we didn't have kids, I think my partner and I would have enjoyed this show very much.

Disney on Ice: Passport to Adventure

by Anonymous on 10/1/13Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego

If we had not had front row seats, I don't think the experience would have been as good. My grandchildren enjoyed it very much and loved the interaction between them and the characters. I would recommend it but only if there are able to get front row seats as the venue is an older venue and doesn't always provide the best viewing

by housegc on 10/1/13Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego

Disney on Ice great for children of all ages! It got a little long for my 18 month old, but I kind of expected that. It was a lot of fun though!

    Okay show

Not Disney on Ice's best show. Lilo & Stitch and Peter Pan segments run too long.

    Best Seats Ever!

by ElandEm on 9/30/13Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego

What an experience! My husband and I surprised our 4 and 10 year old daughters with front row seats. We were practically on the ice. The characters were right in front of us waving, smiling, etc. My girls were thrilled with the whole experience. We highly recommend the show - and splurging on prime seats.

Fun for my 4 year old granddaughter.

by Blueeyedperson on 9/30/13Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego

I bought front row seats near the curtain where most of the characters came out. This was her first ice show. She LOVED it..It was wonderful to see the characters up close and personal. They waved, blew kisses, and saluted her.. After it was over she asked if she could see it again. That says it all..

    disney on ice

by gm2013 on 9/30/13Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego

Really good performance by Disney characters on ice. There was a circus outside with at least 28 stalls selling overpriced and exorbitant goods. Candy was $12 and popcorn upto $15. Overall, since there were so many little kids--they kept on geting up---jumping up and down..so dont expect that it will be pindrop slience. It was chaotic. Luckily we had good seats, but 10 little girls ahead of us--who just wouldnt stop. And, yes, all parents are using cameras and in the middle of the show you see flash go off. :) Overall, nice. Great for little girls. Adults--not so sure.
