  • Fun......But has the trademark Disney Pricing.....

by SRCLHARRIS on 10/29/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

The show has a good production... (lights, fog machine etc. ) It had the works...The thing I should have seen coming was the infamous Disney pricing on their merchandise. It made the Depeche Mode concert merchandise look like dollar tree stuff.....

  • A lot of action - nothing special for 3 year old.

by Grandpa4O on 10/29/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 3 out of 5

After attending Dare To Dream my granddaughter was impatiently waiting to see this one. We bought first row almost at the corner close to the left front. For one - we didn't realize, that there was an assembly in front partially blocking the view and at some point a pirate ship, that moved to the corner with a large skull blocked even more view. --- We were waiting for something exiting and interesting to happen, but nothing ever happened. There were "flying" scenes, but that was all too far to make an impression. There were a few good real dancing on ice, but most were pretty mediocre. At the end, when asked, 3 year old didn't express desire to see it again.

  • Disney On Ice, San Jose, CA

by Kawikz on 10/29/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

Floor seats were great, there was more than enough room to get up and use the restroom without squeezing past everybody like the second row behind us. Parking was a breeze, staffed well by SJPD, so you felt safe. Peddlers were steered clear. And more importantly, the show kept my 4 year old seated for the most part. She tends to get antsy but she was focused. Dress warm as it got cold at the 7:30 pm show. Thank you Disney!

  • Cool Show

by JazzC on 10/29/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

I have been Disney on Ice twice. This is an excellent show for adults and kids sharing same topic and memory together. Recommend the show to all. However, the front down sections-7 and -9 have no cup holder. They are temporary chairs. That's no way to hold a drink for the whole show. Section 109 is the best seat. The one sitting in front just blocks the one behind even thought it's very close to stage. Seat levels are too close. Kids have to stand to watch the show. I will not choose these seats again.

  • Much worse than previous year

by amirmb on 10/28/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 2 out of 5

This year the choreography was really bad. the quelity of the dancers (ice skaters) was worse than the previous year. Not only for me as an adult, even my 3.5 year old son was extremely bored. Even the selected stories and the parts that they selected for the show was really bad.

  • UNBELIEVABLE SEATS AND SHOW

by JY2593 on 10/28/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

CELEBRATING MY DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY WAS A BLAST WITH THIS TERRIFIC SHOW AND GREAT SEATS AT THE SAP CENTER.

  • staging and costuming was amazing!

by grattitudeattitude on 10/28/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

The skating was amazing, as was the costuming. We were hoping for more princesses on ice, and disappointed to see only Ariel. We really enjoyed the show. I'd pay a premium to enjoy the show much more if there were an adults only seating section to insulate those of us who are young at heart from those of us that behave as though they are under the age of 6 who fidget, kick the seat in front of them, whine, cry, spill stuff, throw stuff, and fight with their seatmates unregulated by their "supervising adults.".

  • Good, could have been better

by AbhiP on 10/28/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 3 out of 5

The show is a pull for the kids for the obvious reason. Which kid does not love Disney?! That being said, some of the acts were unusually long and not engaging enough (Lilo & Stitch and Peter Pan/Tinkerbell to be particular). There was no show segment with Mickey, Minnie and the gang. They were reduced to show hosts of sorts. As I said, it was good (particularly for the fact that we got discounted tickets), but could have been better. Show started on time and lasted for about an hour and 45 minutes, with about 10 minutes of interval.

  • fun for the family

by jaslaskow on 10/27/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

Our daughter loved it. We went opening night and it was crowded but not a madhouse. All of the characters you would hope to see made a cameo. Our daughter (3) was more enamored with the characters than their skating but my wife and I appreciated it

  • Disney on Ice is great for young and old alike.

by Mojo8676 on 10/27/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

My son and I really enjoyed the show. Even though he ha not seen all of the shows included, he watch with constant attention to the Little Mermaid and Peter Pan portions. Two things stood out but did not detract from the show: 1) the program included pictures of scenes not actually presented on Thursday night; and 2) 7:30 PM is a little late to start the show - not sure why they couldn't start at 7:00. If they cut the show to make sure the little ones are not out too late, that is a little disappointing as my previous suggestion would help that issue. I liked having the intermission as it gave parents the opportunity to leave if it was too late for younger children. We will definitely be coming to other Disney on Ice shows.

  • Disney on Ice

by Alcher on 10/26/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

The show was good but I think some scenes were a little long for kids. The entire second half was devoted to Peter Pan. And, by listening to audience applause, I think more of the show should have involved Mickey, Minnie and their friends.

  • Great first experience

by Riscracker on 10/26/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

My daughter was mesmerized the entire two hours! She loved seeing Mickey and friends, plus The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan. Would recommend it for Disney lovers.

  • Not Disney Quality

by Yoseanda on 10/26/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 3 out of 5

I love Disney, I go to Disneyland twice a year and I'm a Disney movie connoisseur. This show is NOT up to Disney standards and that becomes apparent when you see kids barely paying attention and crawling over their seats. As an adult, it came off as low budget and uninspiring. The tickets are not expensive so it's still a fun outing for families, but don't expect the same high-calibur Disney entertainment you get at the parks.

I took my 7 and 5 years old children. My 5year was at the edge do his seat the whole time. My 7years old couldn't stop talking about it at school, the next day. They both had an amazing time and I really enjoyed it. It was one of the best shows we have seen.

The show was great and the kids had a great time. The girls enjoyed singing to each one of the stories.
