  • Disney on ice was great

by Shaboo548 on 10/30/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 3 out of 5

Disney on ice was entertaining the 1st half was wonderful. Couldn't keep my eyes off the ice. Then the 2nd bald began with Peter Pan which they introduced as Tinkerbell or London was on very entertaining at all. I grew up with Peter Pan but still found it dull. I actually fell asleep. I had friends warn me the second half was boring but gave Disney the benefit of the doubt. Ugh none of the songs were catchy or familiar. BORING!!!

  • Disney On Ice : Passport To Adventure

by Anonymous on 10/30/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 3 out of 5

performance was great, show was beautiful, custom was very colorful and beautiful. However, the show was short. It was only 1.5 hour. I expected it should have been 2 hours average. In addition, the characters talked a bit much. There should have been more scenes telling about the story instead of the characters talked.

Disney on Ice: Passport to Adventure was great. My son is 3, almost 4, and had a blast. We were in the front and the characters really interacted with us. Worth every penny.

The show was good. If you have not seen a Disney on Ice you will enjoy it. The last one I went was better. It was worth the money I paid for.

My 3-year old daughter was captivated during the entire show. I would highly recommend it. These events remind me of how magical disney was for me as a child. I know my daughter feels the same. Also, if you have the extra money, the front row seats were fantastic.

  • Disney on Ice...

Lovely scenery..great skilled skating...Way too long segments (PeterPan) too much dialogue and sound system fuzzy. Not enough popular music from films.

  • Wholesome family entertainment

Disney characters are always a hit, they take one out of the real world and even if for a few hours it re energizes you.

My family will see another show in the future. We had so much fun, more than going to Disneyland.

This is not our first Disney On Ice Show. But as always, these shows never disappoint my kids. The skaters are all very professional, amazing coordination and team work. We will come again when there is another Disney On Ice show in this location.

Disney characters are always a joy to watch and this venue did not let you down. The mini adventures to the different Disney movies was transitioned well and certainly some of the favorite movies were showcased. The performers were very, very good and interacted with the audience as much as possible. If anything that was disappointing, it was the audience, who were lackluster and dull. Parents around us were talking, texting or playing games on their cell phones more than anything. Their kids enjoyed the show and were verbal about it.

  • Kids love it

  • Very, very disappointing

We go to Disney On Ice every year and have seen most of the shows on tour in the last few years. This production was BY FAR the worst. We have loved every one of the previous shows we've seen and have even seen some of them more than once because we loved them so much. Passport to Adventure was a massive disappointment though. It was made even more disappointing by the fact that this was the first one my husband has ever been able to attend with us. He has been deployed every single time we've gone before, so my kids and I were really looking forward to bringing him along this time. We are a Disney family, and we were really looking forward to finally attending one of these together. This was a terrible first show for him to see. The Pros: Unfortunately, there weren't many. My son did love the Peter Pan portion of the show. In my opinion, this is the highlight of the event, but it doesn't come until after the intermission. As always, the Disney classics are also in this production, so your kids will get to see Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy. I can't remember if we saw Pluto. The only problem is that these characters are really only in the production during scene transitions which is actually somewhat common in most Disney On Ice productions. The Cons: Where do I even begin? First of all, there are four "acts" in this show...The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Lilo & Stitch, and Peter Pan. The most recent of these Disney movies was Lilo & Stitch which was over 10 years ago. Most of the younger kids in the audience didn't care one bit about much more than The Little Mermaid which was a fairly entertaining portion of the show. A child born in the 90s would probably love this, but not most kids who are under age 10 now. The Lion King portion was really poorly done with what appeared to be a bare bones production. It was actually pretty terrible, and I have NEVER said that about anything in regard to Disney. The Lilo & Stitch production was entirely too long and SO BORING. They lost the attention of a large portion of the kids in the audience quickly. I saw kids all around us playing in the aisles, under their chairs, and yawning...seriously. Why Lilo & Stitch?? I've never understood why Disney continues to push these characters. They just don't seem that popular to me. It felt like they were trying too hard to pick movies that were set in locations that fit the "Passport to Adventure" theme. Beyond the poor production choices, the sound at this show was TERRIBLE. We were no more than 15-20 rows back from the ice, and we couldn't understand most of the dialogue between the characters because the volume was way too low. I brought this to a staff member's attention, but as expected, nothing changed. This issue with sound has also never been a problem at a previous Disney On Ice show for us. I will return to Disney On Ice, but I simply can't recommend Passport to Adventure. Wait until another production comes to town.

  • Disney on Ice: Passport was amazing!

by Sandz913 on 10/29/13SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I took our 3 year old daughter to see the Disney on ice show for the first time and we all absolutely loved it! Show was an hr and a half which was perfect. They did such a great job with all the special effects, costumes and props. Our daughter sang and danced to almost every song. She wasn't too into the Peter pan skit just because she's more into princess movies but overall it was the best show for the whole family. We will definitely be taking her again when the next show comes around!

  • Good show

This was our 4th Disney On Ice show to watch. I felt that the first 3 stories went really fast, which my daughter liked and the rest of the show, including Peter Pan, Lilo & Stitch, etc, felt a little too long. My 3-year-old daughter and her friend, who is 4, got bored in the middle of Lilo & Stitch. So, maybe it's good for boys or older kids?
