  • Good fun show, wish frozen would have been there.

by Anonymous on 2/17/16Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 4 out of 5

My seats were good, we could see the whole show. I was a little disappointed there wasn't s frozen scene at all. There was so much frozen merchandise to buy but yet there was nothing frozen in the show, it was a little disappointing.

  • Fantastic show!

Had a fantastic time at Disney On Ice this year! Went 2 years ago to the Princesses show (which was also amazing) and enjoyed this show more because of the variety of characters included this time! My daughter especially loved the Nightmare Before Christmas piece because you don't see that a lot anymore and it is one of her favorites! This was my 2 1/2 year old daughter's first experience with Disney On Ice and she was completely entertained the ENTIRE show. I was worried about this since she is very BUSY, but the show was so good it kept her entertained. Can't wait for Disney On Ice to come back next year!

Absolutely awesomely amazing . 4 year old Granddaughter was spellbound during the entire performance (not even one request for a snack) . Action filled and continuous activity at all times . Wonderful Disney performance - very glad we were able to attend .

The show didn't have very many props to enhance the show.

  • Disappointing!!

by MomOf3SoccerBoys on 2/17/16Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 1 out of 5

We have seen several Disney on Ice shows and have enjoyed them all until this one. The performance is short and really lacks a story line. The show started late because of some trouble with the ice, which I understand is out of their control. However, the whole show, including intermission, was around 90 minutes. Disappointing and I'm not sure we'll be back.

  • daughter really loved it!

by maxiaddict on 2/17/16Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 3 out of 5

really loved the disney on ice, have been to several in the past. my only criticism would be the halloween part-had dancing ghosts, skeleton characters, "half dead" looking skaters. my daughter just turned five, didn't seem appropriate. i know that other kids are fine with it, this is only my opinion. i had to take her out because her eyes got really wide and actually met with a couple of other moms in the lobby part because their kids were crying at this. the whole place went dark and webs came from the ceiling. i get this was a celebration-maybe do a fourth of july or something more kid friendly. i did read up on this-i just didn't know the halloween part was going to be portrayed like this-my mistake.

We were lucky enough to score front row, lower bowl, aisle seats. Great view, and plenty of room for bouncing and dancing along. Wonderful selection of characters both new and old.

  • Show was great! Seats not so much....

by Jlinnie on 2/16/16Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 4 out of 5

We just seen Disney on ice Celebrations at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids Mi. The show was wonderful, we have never been and didn't know what to really expect, but both moms and the kids had a great time. The skating is beautiful and the characters looked great. The only characters we were surprised not to see was the frozen cast. As popular as Anna and Elsa are it just seemed a given that they'd be there. There were plenty of other princesses and disney characters though and the show was very entertaining. The only problem I had was what a disappointment our seats were....I paid 49 a seat for center stage, floor seats, three rows back. The way that Van Andel set them up was on flat ground instead of stadium seating and our girls could not see over the heads of the grown ups in the rows ahead of us. They ended up standing most the show trying to see through the gaps between people. I kept thinking I would have been better off paying 15 for seats in the stands where they might have been farther away but had a full view of the stage....just make sure if you buy "the best available seats" they actually have the best view....

Disney on ice overall was really good. They definitely could skip the Halloween scene with all the villains. Too scary for the little ones. We were up high and my 5 yr olds were nervous. I can't imagine being near the ice. They probably would have been crying. There is a way to make Halloween fun. Doesn't need to be scary. Shamefully, Disney charges ridiculous prices for refreshments and souvenirs. Come prepared with snacks or be ready to hand over your bank account number. It really is quite disgusting. I guess important thing is the kids loved it and the performers were really good. Costumes were beautiful.

  • Disney on Ice

by MimiBabe on 2/16/16Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 3 out of 5

For the most part - GREAT! But why does Disney have to include a scary scull man and ghosts and mummies, etc??? Totally scared the little kids!!! And we've been working and working to convince my 3 year old granddaughter there's no such thing as ghosts! As soon as that scene started, she buried her head into her mommy and said "I'm scared mommy"!!! And a friend sitting in another section said it really scared her son (also 3), and the little girl beside them was crying!!! Really Disney?!?!?! I know you're trying to cater to this age also because that's who gets their parents or grandparents to buy those really expensive hand-held electric spinning toys!!!! Please rethink having that scary part in your show!!

This was a Christmas present to our family, including our 5 year old grand daughter who loves Mickey Mouse. We had great seats and felt we were part of the snow. Their were 7 in our group and we all had smiles and enjoyed every moment of the show. The highlight was when Jasmine stopped in front of us and then presented a rose to our grand daughter, Lucia. Her eyes were so big! Everything about the show was enjoyable and we are impressed with the talent of the performers.

  • Memories for a lifetime!

by MsCole49007 on 2/16/16Van Andel Arena - Grand RapidsRating: 5 out of 5

This show was just amazing! Seeing my children's face light up as their favorite Disney characters graced the stage was absolutely priceless! I myself was even excited, maybe more excited than my children. We will definitely be going to the next Disney On Ice that comes.

  • Another great Disney on Ice

Great show-kids were having a blast. My daughter was pretty bummed Anna and Elsa didn't make an appearance.
