About

Disney Junior Dance Party on Tour

If you ever find yourself in a house where children younger than 8 reside, there's a pretty good chance you'll find a TV locked onto Disney Junior. Since 2012, this offshoot of the Disney Channel empire has provided young kids with a station to call their own, presenting a slate of beloved animated shows that have introduced children to a whole new generation of diverse cartoon characters.

Among its most popular creations are the pint-sized superheroes of PJ Masks, the Latina teenage princess protagonist of Eleanor of Avalor, and the toy-fixing heroine Doc McStuffins. With a stacked lineup like that, it can be awfully difficult to peel the kids away from the TV set and encourage them to go outside for some physical activity. But there's an opportunity for the kids to enjoy all their favorite Disney Junior characters and get some exercise at the same time.

Disney Junior Dance Party is a touring stage show that brings the channel's animated icons to life through a series of musical numbers that encourage audience interaction and movement. Your enthusiastic hosts Dee and Jay lead a revue that features all your Disney Junior favorites — including Puppy Dog Pals, Fancy Nancy, Sofia the First, and the Ghoul Girls rock band from Vampirina — in elaborate set pieces that incorporate animation, large dance troupes, awesome costumes, and copious amounts of confetti.

On top of providing a dramatic visual backdrop to the various live routines, the set's trio of large circular screens — arranged to evoke Mickey Mouse's face and famous big ears — also play host to video vignettes starring Muppet Babies and The Lion Guard. But while the performance may showcase Disney's newer cartoon franchises, you can also expect appearances from classic characters like Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy, decked out in the racing gear from their Disney Junior show Mickey and the Roadster Racers.

  • Wonderful

Disney always delivers! I took my 3 granddaughters ages 6, 4 and 1. They were singing all the songs and dancing in their seats. The baby was actually trembling when MO MOW (mickey mouse) came on stage. They had a great time - their joy makes my heart happy! Thank you.

This was a great experience for my 3-year-old. She loved all the characters. There was enough room for her to dance. Highly recommend this show for toddlers.

  • More characters stage time needed

    by m. m. on 3/3/19Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Took my grandson. He was anxious to see the Disney characters & the 2 kids who were "leading the show" had more stage time & filler than the characters.

  • Great Show

What an amazing show!!! My grandson loved and enjoyed every minute. All the kids were dacing in their seats or in the aisles. Kudos to Disney Junior Dance Party on Tour!!!

  • Great show

    by A. O. on 3/3/19The Palace Theatre Albany - AlbanyRating: 5 out of 5

It was an awesome show and both of my kids loved it. The only things I wish that had been different is that when everyone talked you could hear them better and if the kids could’ve met a character as they left.

  • Second year my 5yr grandaughter has gone. LOVES IT****

    by J. S. on 3/1/19F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 5 out of 5

My grandaughter last year had a wonderful time. But this year she went up to the stage holding Bingo & Rollie high in the air and dancing. She never would have done this for anyother show. Shes excited for next year.

  • Worth the money!

    by maryalicemag on 3/1/19F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 4 out of 5

My daughter is 1.5 years old and she LOVED it! She loves everything Disney, Disney Junior, and especially Mickey and Minnie. She had a blast and didn’t sit down at all. I was worried it would be hard to keep her attention for that long because of her age, but they did a great job and she was in heaven! I was a little worried as the show was almost over and we hadn’t seen Minnie yet except for on the screen, but Minnie came out and danced and sang right before the closing number. That just sealed the deal for her! I was a little hesitant with the price for just my husband, myself, and our daughter being so much, but her reactions were worth every penny!

  • Good show

by AJV on 2/27/19The Modell Lyric - BaltimoreRating: 4 out of 5

The show was really good. My 2 year old really enjoyed seeing the Disney characters and the lights. It would have been better if more of the characters were on stage instead of on the large screen, but overall it was a good show.

  • Awesome

by Diamon on 2/26/19The Modell Lyric - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

The experience was awesome. The music wasn’t too loud for the kids but perfect volume and we were on the tier but the stage. Better organization for consessions or more signs to show people where to go

  • Good show

  • Great Event for Whole Family

    by S. G. on 2/26/19The Modell Lyric - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

My family settled for the VIP experience and got a chance to see the Disney characters before the show. My daughter (age 3) and son (age 5) had a blast singing and dancing with the Disney characters. A must see event.

  • So much fun!

    by P. P. on 2/26/19The Modell Lyric - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

We enjoyed every minute of the show! It was so lively and entertaining, we didn't want it to end! Will be back next year for sure!

  • Super expensive Disney Jr promotion

by JPOchi on 10/31/18The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 1 out of 5

I went once with my 3 and 4 yo and told myself never again. They asked, so I caved, and I also took my 2 yo... it’s just an outpouring of money. The stage production is just like cartoon viewership of every Disney Jr TV show. I just don’t think it’s a good production. Plus, I think they said Disney Jr. about 600 times. Save your money, stay home and watch their Disney jr channel for 1.5 hours.

  • Boring!

    by Granny1900 on 10/31/18The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 2 out of 5

The show was boring. It was hard to see because preschool children are small. The show should be elevated on the stage and shown on high screens behind the actors. The storyline was very hard to understand and follow through the sound system. I would tell people to avoid this experience.

  • Disney local is always good!

by IUScoop on 10/26/18Embassy Theatre - Fort WayneRating: 4 out of 5

We love Disney so anytime it’s local we go! The dance party is not as good as Disney Ice because there seemed to be a lack of character involvement. I would have liked to see the actual characters come out in stage more and the fir muppet babies it’s just them on the screen. I also think there was a lack of merchandise to buy as souvenirs and the smallest versions of stuffed animals were $20. Overall my children loved it and we still love Disney!

  • Awesome show!

Disney Junior Dance Party was a fantastic show! This was our first time and we will be returning! They interact with the audience very well and keep the kids interested in the show! The stage was very impressive!
