About

Disney Junior Dance Party on Tour

If you ever find yourself in a house where children younger than 8 reside, there's a pretty good chance you'll find a TV locked onto Disney Junior. Since 2012, this offshoot of the Disney Channel empire has provided young kids with a station to call their own, presenting a slate of beloved animated shows that have introduced children to a whole new generation of diverse cartoon characters.

Among its most popular creations are the pint-sized superheroes of PJ Masks, the Latina teenage princess protagonist of Eleanor of Avalor, and the toy-fixing heroine Doc McStuffins. With a stacked lineup like that, it can be awfully difficult to peel the kids away from the TV set and encourage them to go outside for some physical activity. But there's an opportunity for the kids to enjoy all their favorite Disney Junior characters and get some exercise at the same time.

Disney Junior Dance Party is a touring stage show that brings the channel's animated icons to life through a series of musical numbers that encourage audience interaction and movement. Your enthusiastic hosts Dee and Jay lead a revue that features all your Disney Junior favorites — including Puppy Dog Pals, Fancy Nancy, Sofia the First, and the Ghoul Girls rock band from Vampirina — in elaborate set pieces that incorporate animation, large dance troupes, awesome costumes, and copious amounts of confetti.

On top of providing a dramatic visual backdrop to the various live routines, the set's trio of large circular screens — arranged to evoke Mickey Mouse's face and famous big ears — also play host to video vignettes starring Muppet Babies and The Lion Guard. But while the performance may showcase Disney's newer cartoon franchises, you can also expect appearances from classic characters like Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy, decked out in the racing gear from their Disney Junior show Mickey and the Roadster Racers.

    Best Day Ever!!!

by The Grandparents on 3/16/19The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

We purchased the VIP tickets with the character meet and greet for our niece and grandson for Christmas. BEST money we have ever spent. The pre party was so much fun with the dancing and singing they didn't want to leave to go see the show. Oh and they were able to meet Mickey and Minnie!! The show was incredible and just the right amount of time for the little ones. Absolutely an amazing experience!!

    Blast

by S. on 3/16/19Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

Kids loved it and had a blast. Only thing wish it was a little longer than an hour and a half seemed like it went by really fast and with there being intermissions also made it seem shorter even tho intermissions are good for kids. But it was awesome watching the dancing and watching kids get up and have fun during the show 😍

    Room for improvement

by Mom of 2 on 3/14/19E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - Akron

I paid for a front balcony seat only to get a seat somewhere on the lower balcony in the back because they “moved us up.” The DJs were also the main part of the show: I was hoping for more character time. Overall, my kids had fun, but I am not sure that I would do this again based on the above.

    Wanted more of each character

by N. J. on 3/13/19E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - Akron

My daughter loves Princess Sofia & she was in the Iraq dance set only. Sofia didn’t even come out at the end. The whole time my daughter kept asking where Princess Sofia was. Wish the dancing encorporated more characters at once over multiple dances. It would have also been nice for the characters to come out at intermission or the very end to wave goodbye to the kids. Not sure we will ever come to a show like this again- very disappointed.

    Mind-Blowing

by S. S. on 3/13/19E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - Akron

I was amazed at how great this show was! Even us parents were getting our dance on! My daughter is 3, and this was her first experience. She hasn't stopped talking about it. I literally had tears in my eyes at the beginning of the show, because it overjoyed me to see how excited she was. The cast was phenomenal

    My grandson loved it.

by M. on 3/13/19E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - Akron

My grandson loved it. For a family event it was expensive. If you could choose between Disney on Ice and the Disney Junior Dance Party, the ice show is a better value. The program’s content was fine. Dancers were good, very colorful and it kept a child’s interest. Fun afternoon.

What a great show! Our child couldn't get enough of this show. The performers were amazing and did a really great job! The singing and dancing was so well done and with all the Disney character, they really deserve a round of applause for how well they all did! The lights and videos are amazing and really keep the kids attention. So happy we decided to go. You won't be disappointed, we defiantly would go again!

by Patty on 3/9/19Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

My Grandaughter had a blast, she never stopped dancing! Think it would of been better if a little shorter in time you could tell the little ones were tired not as much dancing for them the second half. Would go again!

    So so- not worth money

by MW on 3/9/19Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

The show was cute. We paid $295 for 4 tickets and it wasn’t worth half of the price. I was disappointed that the characters were not part of it as much as they made it seem. The idea of a dance party was hard because we were in seats. Not worth the money in my opinion.

    Awesome Disney Junior

by TheBigThree on 3/9/19Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

My grandchildren loved the show! We took a seven year old, three year old and a two year old. There was a little of everything to keep them all engaged. Usually it is hard taking the three to enjoy one show or one movie, but Disney Junior kept them fully entertained. Even after the intermission was over, they quickly got reengaged. Thank you -
