About

Disney Junior Dance Party on Tour

If you ever find yourself in a house where children younger than 8 reside, there's a pretty good chance you'll find a TV locked onto Disney Junior. Since 2012, this offshoot of the Disney Channel empire has provided young kids with a station to call their own, presenting a slate of beloved animated shows that have introduced children to a whole new generation of diverse cartoon characters.

Among its most popular creations are the pint-sized superheroes of PJ Masks, the Latina teenage princess protagonist of Eleanor of Avalor, and the toy-fixing heroine Doc McStuffins. With a stacked lineup like that, it can be awfully difficult to peel the kids away from the TV set and encourage them to go outside for some physical activity. But there's an opportunity for the kids to enjoy all their favorite Disney Junior characters and get some exercise at the same time.

Disney Junior Dance Party is a touring stage show that brings the channel's animated icons to life through a series of musical numbers that encourage audience interaction and movement. Your enthusiastic hosts Dee and Jay lead a revue that features all your Disney Junior favorites — including Puppy Dog Pals, Fancy Nancy, Sofia the First, and the Ghoul Girls rock band from Vampirina — in elaborate set pieces that incorporate animation, large dance troupes, awesome costumes, and copious amounts of confetti.

On top of providing a dramatic visual backdrop to the various live routines, the set's trio of large circular screens — arranged to evoke Mickey Mouse's face and famous big ears — also play host to video vignettes starring Muppet Babies and The Lion Guard. But while the performance may showcase Disney's newer cartoon franchises, you can also expect appearances from classic characters like Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy, decked out in the racing gear from their Disney Junior show Mickey and the Roadster Racers.

Disney Junior Dance Prty On Tour Review

    by B. on 3/19/19Lynn Auditorium - Lynn

It was a fun time if you could see the whole stage. The DJ setup on the left side of the stage made it impossible to watch the animated videos on the stage which was almost the entire show. You could only see less than half of the stage. The characters in costumes were random. Having Mickey, Minnie and Goofy without Donald Duck is odd. Also Vampirina and Fancy Nancy aren't popular characters and it would have been better to have different ones. The 2nd half of the performance was only 45 minutes and the show didn't start at 4:30. There was about 15 minutes of wasted time so everyone who came in late could get to their seats. So for those of us who were on time, we were the ones who had to wait for the performance.

Kids enjoyed it. I really like D and J. I liked that they were brown! I wish they had more characters like Coco or Frozen or Moana. We loved Elena, though!

    Amazing

by Dazhun on 3/18/19Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

I take my hat off to Disney junior and pull ups! They did an awesome job creating this show. The show had so much creativity and the dj’s were very lively. My 2 year olds were tuned in and amazed by the show. I will definitely support any future events!

    Horrible seating

by L. on 3/18/19Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The seating for floor seats were horrible!!! Many of us comaplined in my area. Tickets were so explaensive and they had us in a smaller theater which I’m thinking section 1 would be very good seats they were on the end where all you can see is equipment and the draft coming from the old doors were horrible

    Awesome for kids!

by CPre on 3/18/19Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

This show was great! The music had everyone moving. There were alot of the characters that the kids see on Disney Junior. For the most part, they played their theme songs, so everyone was singing along. Definitely worth it to see the kids faces filled with excitement!

    Family Fun Day

by JJ on 3/18/19Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

My daughter had such an amazing time. Only thing was I purchased floor seats thinking my daughter would see better but with the adults constantly getting up made it a little hard for her to see. Overall the show was awesome

Couldn't give it a full 4 stars because of venue

    by M. G. on 3/18/19Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The show was great for my 3 year old. Characters were spot on and the electronics were great. My only complaint is with the venue. Wasn't expecting to be in the "Ballroom" of Boardwalk Hall. My husband and I spent a good deal of money for tickets that we thought would be great since we were 2 sections from the stage. Couldn't really see much since the stage wasn't that high and we had floor seats. The people in the back in the bleachers, who played a heck of a lot less than we did, had the best seats. Now I know for next time.

    Great show, awful venue.

    by C. D. on 3/18/19Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The show was wonderfully entertaining- especially for my husband and I because we could see. My poor 4yr old daughter could not see the stage at all. We ended up having to stand on the outskirts of the seats and put her on our shoulders to see. Children were on their parents laps to help them see, but all that did was block the row behind them. The room this show was held in was not conducive for the audience. I would NOT go back to a children’s show in this venue, unless it was in the main hall.

Show was great; Venue was horrible

by A. on 3/18/19Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The show was great. My daughter was in aww. She sang and danced the entire time and 3 days later she’s still talking about it. My only complaint is the venue was horrible. People coming in late blocking the stage and you literally couldn’t see anything if you had floor seats. I would definitely go again but I won’t go if it’s a boardwalk hall.

Great show but venue not great cause they moved it

by Dinsey fan on 3/18/19Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

Loved the show but didn’t like that they moved it out of the big arena into a ballroom after paying all that money. Kids were standing on chairs that folded. Saw so many kids fall multiple times while trying to see. If scheduled in big arena we should be told if they move it!!! And not safe for kids on those chairs when they can’t see sittting down in ballroom!!

    Great show

by Kjt319 on 3/18/19Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The show was great. Very entertaining. The kids loved it. My only feedback would be to not have the base in the theater so loud but that’s something that can be fixed. The characters and performers did a great job.

    Great show

by Mandy on 3/18/19Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

My daughter is alittle over two. We watch disney jr everyday. She loves most of the shows. She lit up like a christmas tree as soon as the roadster racers opened the show. She was entertained and dancing the entire time. My daughter, my bf and i really enjoyed it. The only con was seating. We were in atlantic city boardwalk hall and seating wasnt labeled properly but not a huge issue

The show was really great! The dancers were amazing!

    by D. S. on 3/17/19Paramount Theatre - Asbury Park

From start to finish the show was absolutely amazing! I really cant express enough about how good the show was. All the actors and dancers stood out and sung very well. My daughter and I had so much fun. I'm also glad that they came to the area that we live in which was even better. Definitely worth watching again.

    More characters please!

by MegW on 3/16/19Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

My daughter loved it and danced so much! It was really cute but I definitely think it should have been more character involved. Majority of it was people talking and the girl was D or J had a really annoying voice, all the parents were commenting to each other about it. The guy was good but the girl was not. Puppy dog pals were by far the cutest and they were barely on stage at all. Mickey Clubhouse should have been involved instead of just the Roadsters as well! More characters would have been much better! But, overall the little kids loved it!

Awful! Terrible! Not Worth the Money!

by L. B. on 3/16/19The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

The experience was awful!!!!! I did the VIP Pre party - what they had to eat was terrible - raw carrots broccoli and cauliflower with a dip - how many children do you know eat broccoli and cauliflower? No pizza - just these dried up little cups they called pizza - pretzels and goldfish - most children eat these everyday. That was it! Watered down lemonade and terrible ice tea. No games- no tables to color and play and no one there interacting with the children. Dancing was not encouraged - no one to dance with the kids and to get them up! Characters came out - you were rushed through the line - employees took the pictures with your phone - you were not permitted to do that! Gift was awful - no child would ever want one of these silver? whatever they were. The show was disappointing. It was all about D & J - Mickey came out 2 maybe 3 times for about 2 minutes each time - Minnie came out once - Doc McStuffins was one of the Disney dancers - one of the Disney dancers play Fancy Nancy and Vampirina and another character - not enough Disney characters - D & J took over the show with the Disney dancers - it was disappointing to the children who were expecting to see many of their favorite characters. The Disney On Ice show is the way to go! Not the Disney Junior Dance Party. I am surprised that Disney would be involved in such a poor event. The Santander Performing Arts Center is a very old and dirty building. The seats are awful. Not enough bathrooms for the number of people that were there. Smelled damp and musty. Santander has a beautiful new building a couple of block away. Not sure why they don't use this building.
