Poisoned apples. Glass slippers. Who needs 'em?! Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses in the hilarious hit musical that’s anything but Grimm. Forget the princesses you think you know – the original storybook heroines have come back to life to set the record straight. After multiple sold-out runs nationwide, these royal renegades tossed off their tiaras to bring their hilariously subversive, not-for-the-kiddies musical to you – and what you thought about princesses will never be the same!

Disenchanted is hysterical, honest and the actresses are amazing! For every Disney Princess loving adult, its a must see!!
I had a great time, the play is fun, the actresses are in a wonderful energy w each other and w audience.
Show was funny! Kept me entertained the whole time with no dull moment. These girls were amazing with beautiful voices. I would highly recommend anyone to go see them! Hopefully they will perform in California since I would absolutely go again!
This show was hilarious! We loved all the different characters!
Loved the show! It was funny and the cast could really sing! The message to both girls, boys, women and men was relevant and on point. Worth seeing!
I absolutely loved the entire show, the cast was entertaining and engaged the audience. The content was funny and entertaining.
What a great way to spend an evening! The actresses were stellar. My only quibble was at points the music obscured their singing, a shame as they were great.
I attended this play with my family of four and not one of us enjoyed it. The script was not funny at all, and was often rude and crude. We understood about half of the lyrics of the songs, the acting was terrible and the story line was non existent. Other than that, it was fine. Save your money and 90 minutes of your life for something more enjoyable, like a root canal.
This show was very fun and well done! I bought a ticket at the last minute and was glad that I did. The Broadway Playhouse is a great venue for this show because it's smaller and intimate so you really felt like you were part of the show. Go see it!
This play was hilarious from start to finish. Recommended for 14 yrs and up.
It should be noted that this is for adults only. My 2 adult daughters & I saw this on Saturday and didn't stop laughing. It is a fun time with a great message. Costumes were hilarious. Singing was terrific. Wasn't expecting such good voices. Wonder what Disney thinks. It is a great spoof on the Disney princesses.
These six Princesses are here to tell you about "Happily Ever After", and they have a lot to say! The music is great, the staging is minimalist but effective, and the characters are rememberable. From the beginning you hear the real story of their life and image as it relates to the "Princess Complex." Never mean spirited, always funny, come prepared to sit through this show because you won't want to miss a second! In a world where controversy and foul language pass for funny, it's nice to enjoy a show that has neither. Parents and Grandparents of princesses will find this an enjoyable escape, but it's broad appeal welcomes every adult. You will leave laughing and never embarrassed or uncomfortable. Come see this show, it won't disappoint.
Music was great, actors are extremely talented. Script was hilarious. So much fun. Definitely worth going to see.
This play gives the audience an insight into how the Disney princesses really feel about their destiny in fairy tale land. The moral of their story is a good one--that you are fine just the way you are. The play points out the fact that the Disney tales paint the princesses as helpless ladies sitting around waiting for their prince charming to come and rescue them and they're tired of that image--they can be fine on their own. It also touches on the fact that not every Disney princess had a "prince charming", and speculated as to why. Play designed for adults or teens above 14 years of age.
we had a hard time hearing the words in the songs at the beginning of the play. Overall it was not good very funny
We went to the matinee on Wednesday, May 25, with my sister and her husband, and my husband. I wasn't sure the guys would like this since it was about princesses, but they loved it! We laughed so hard throughout the play. If you want a good belly laugh, go see this show.
My friends and I attended this show on a recent visit to Chicago, and we found ourselves laughing throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed this hilarious show!
We saw Disenchanted in Chicago at the Broadway Theater in Watertower Place. The theater is an intimate setting with good views no matter where you sat. My whole group wished the sound had been better. The music was quite loud in such a small setting, so it was hard to hear the words the princesses were singing. Even when they were talking, I missed some phrases and ideas that others were laughing about. Please tone down the music, and crank up the volume on the actresses' mikes. I found the idea of the princesses questioning their "happily ever afters" to be intriguing. Though I thought some of the lines were clever, the content of the play was a bit too liberal and derisive for my tastes. The Princesses were swearing, and even used the F word. Mulan sings about being a lesbian, and then proceeds to go after the other princesses. I am not a fuddy duddy, but seeing a princess walking around drunk on stage and throwing up in a seashell was just a bit too much for me. There was even a nasty comment about one of the current presidential candidates. Since I am quite the Disney fan, I wish the play had not be so disrespectful and irreverent. I think the same goal could have been achieved with less profanity and crude comments and actions.
outstanding! The girls voices are amazing and the story line was funny!
