  • Not worth the price

by Hoffa on 12/5/23Rialto Square Theatre - JolietRating: 3 out of 5

It was a nice concert except for the cost. It was too expensive to watch a movie and have a band play a couple of songs. The theater is nice. Disappointed in the cost!

  • Definitely overpriced

by Bethnel on 12/5/23Rialto Square Theatre - JolietRating: 2 out of 5

I’m one of the biggest Dirty Dancing fans around. I’ve been to Kellermans twice and helped plan the DD experience. I know the Movie forward and backward and have seen the Broadway show twice. I loved the Broadway show and thought DD in Concert would be something similar. If I’d known it was just watching the movie with a live band, I definitely wouldn’t have spent so much money getting tickets. The ticket price is the main reason I was so disappointed. It was a great band with great singers!

  • I had the time of my life

After reading the reviews I wasn’t really looking forward to going. But we had so much fun!!! I just loved it!!

  • Unpleasantly surprised

by Angela on 12/5/23Rialto Square Theatre - JolietRating: 2 out of 5

The concept to perform live along side the movie was fantastic. Unfortunately, the concept failed because there was no other thought out into this. I felt bad for the band and singers. They were great, unrecognized. They were given a dim light when they performed. They should have been the bight light and the movie a background-maybe snips of the movie to play with the sings that were performed. Maybe some real stage presents, acting to go along with the performance. Essentially I overpaid to see a movie I have seen 15 times. I wish I could say there was a reason for it.

  • Disappointed

by Connie on 12/5/23Rialto Square Theatre - JolietRating: 1 out of 5

Paid too much for watching a movie with a band. Paid $148.00 for something worth maybe $10. Was expecting a play. Spoke to other in audience and also was upset because of distance we travel.

  • great idea

by insurancechick on 12/5/23Rialto Square Theatre - JolietRating: 4 out of 5

Lots of fun but thought there would be more prompting of audience participation - similar to Rocky Horror picture show. The audio for the movie was too loud at times and at those times it had way too much treble, made it sound tinnie. Then other times you could not hear the audio over the band. Fun experience over all!!! Great idea and well executed.

We had a great time singing along and reliving memories of the classic movie, Thanks for a wonderful date night # Harlin’s

  • Not what I expected

by Notimpressed on 12/5/23Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 2 out of 5

We should have read the description a little better. We thought it was a musical. They played the movie and had a band there that sang to the movie and certain events of the show. Very expensive movie ticket basically.

  • Dirty Dancing

by Michelle on 12/4/23Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 1 out of 5

Very disappointed. Was not what I was expecting. I would not have paid $75 just to watch the movie, Not to mention it was soooooooo loud that it was distorted.

  • Disappointed

by Cherie on 12/4/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 1 out of 5

I was so disappointed in this. I guess I didn’t take the time to see exactly what to expect. Expected a musical and just watch a movie for $80

  • Great show but wanted more choreography.

by Eve on 12/4/23Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 3 out of 5

We’re wondering why the singers and musicians had to remain on stage the entire show if they didn’t perform but only a few times during the movie. The entertainers were great but they had to patiently wait until the movie was over to out on their performance. Audience members were quiet and gracious. I would’ve loved to see dancers and singer throughout the audience and stage interactive with guests of the show! I think an interactive song along event with the movie would’ve been more exciting than just sitting and watching the movie. Would’ve loved to see full on performances during the movie with full band, dancers and choreography. It’s a great concept that could’ve had a bigger impact but a great night none the less.

  • Speaker wires going right thru the view of the acreen

by Seats were close off to the aisle on 12/4/23Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 3 out of 5

Show was good but the view was not great. Paid extra to be close but had speaker wires right thru the view of the screen and couldn’t see the whole stage. I am tall so I thought I would be able to see.

  • Amazing. Fabulous. Time of Your Life.

by Ke on 12/4/23Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing performance with an incredible atmosphere. The band did a phenomenal job and the energy matched the greatness of the film. I think if this has been advertised more, many more people would have purchased tickets. I would definitely go to a performance like this again.

  • A night to relive my youth

by nrdnurse on 12/4/23Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I love music…especially live music! I love this art form of having musicians sing and play the soundtrack music to a popular movie being played! The musicians did a great job!

  • live music

by Maggie on 12/4/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 3 out of 5

It was fun, but I really would have just watched the movie without the live singers

  • thumbs up!

by JAMD on 12/4/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Love the movie. Good time at show. Only problem, finding seats in the dark theater. Comfortable seating with great view of stage.

  • Wonderful!

by Jenn on 12/3/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Such a wonderful concert! I’ve always loved the movie, but the concert gave it a whole new love.

  • Good show

by Tami on 12/3/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 4 out of 5

Loved watching the movie with a live band, but think it was not worth what I paid for it. I was way up high and the screen was very small. It seemed like there was enough room for a much larger screen like at The Symphony. They show live movies with the symphony playing, and the screen is much better. But overall we enjoyed ourselves. It was a bummer more people didn't stay for the dance party after - you might want to advertise that more as it was AMAZING!!!!! I wanted that kind of energy during the movie :)

  • A new way to enjoy a favorite

by Jenn C on 12/3/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This was a wonderful night out. We absolutely love the movie so this was quite a different and fun experience. The band and singers were wonderful. We enjoyed how the music was live throughout the movie and the additional performance of songs at the end. Thanks you so much for such a memorable night!
