  • Better than expected

by KM on 1/27/25The Stanley - UticaRating: 5 out of 5

Growing up, Dirty Dancing was always a favorite. When I saw "in concert", I was a little hesitatant. It was better than expected. A must see. The entire band was phenomenal.

  • very poorly done production

by jerry on 1/27/25The Stanley - UticaRating: 1 out of 5

very disappointed , basically paid $200 to watch a movie with a band playing movie soundtracks sporadically while the movie played overhead. Was expecting a musical with dancers on stage portraying the events and time frame set in the 60's with a band in the background while the movie was playing overhead with the sound muted capturing the electricity of the era While the band was very good , the production and choreography left a lot to be desired . Never again .......

  • Not what I expected

by Skipper on 1/27/25The Stanley - UticaRating: 3 out of 5

While I absolutely love the movie, Dirty Dancing, I was expecting a broadway show not watching the movie for probably my 20th time at least. The band and singers were great, though! There should have been an announcement before the show started letting the audience know that when the film was over that it wasn’t the end of the show. As a matter of fact, that was my favorite part. So many people had left and missed that. All being said, I was a little disappointed but still was entertained.

  • Disappointed

by Patti on 1/27/25The Stanley - UticaRating: 2 out of 5

I was very disappointed in this performance. We basically paid $78 to watch a movie that all have seen many times before.. I would of thought the performers would of performed throughout the movie in stead of after the movie . The instrumental was very good and the performers did do a good job but not enough.

  • Ok for a night out.

by Union on 1/27/25The Stanley - UticaRating: 3 out of 5

Kind of an expensive movie to watch with a band singing a few songs.

  • Phenomenal!

    by AnnieL13 on 1/27/25The Stanley - UticaRating: 5 out of 5

Phenomenal show! I adore the movie of course and all of the performers did an outstanding job.

  • Nice and engaging

Had a great time singing along. Would’ve liked the lights to be on and dim instead of totally dark.

  • Great night out with my wife

by Sdillon on 1/24/25Packard Music Hall - WarrenRating: 5 out of 5

Bought these tickets as a birthday present for my wife as she is a huge fan of the movie. The venue is dated but still provides a great experience. There was a minor technical glitch at the beginning but the staff worked quickly to remedy it and the show continued from there with no problems. The band sounded great and mixed with the movie really well. The only complaint would be that at times the band was a little too loud and you couldn't hear the movie. Overall a great experience and my wife enjoyed it so that is all that matters. Would definitely go and see other movies this way.

Not what I expected I paid $63 to watch the movie and listen to a band play the songs from the movie . Not worth my time or money . Sorry

  • Not what I expected for the price paid

by Show on 1/22/25Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - Virginia BeachRating: 3 out of 5

We thought it would be more like a show than just watching the movie with a band playing in the background . We thought there would be actual dancers and characters playing the scenes out . It was good but pricey for mainly just watching it on the big screen.

  • Perfect!

by Leesa on 1/22/25Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

My freind and I really enjoyed the showing of the movie and the band singing with the movie. The best part was after the movie the band played all the songs again and everyone was dancing!!!

  • Great way to watch a classic movie!!!

by Ri on 1/22/25Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

I really enjoyed the show!!! There were some technical difficulties at the beginning, which is why I gave 4 stars. The band did a great job!!! Costumes were totally on point!!

  • Not worth it

by Michelle on 1/22/25Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - Virginia BeachRating: 1 out of 5

The band was sub par, the singers had zero excitement and the I’ve already seen the movie. Why would I pay to watch the movie with strangers? Not worth the money spent

  • Fun Girls Night

by T in VA on 1/22/25Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

The show was good. There were technical difficulties about 15 minutes into the movie and it took quite a while to fix. I was disappointed about that and wished the band could have filled in a little bit while we waited. Also, the band was fantastic, but the music could have been louder. We had 8th row seats and it felt more like background music than a concert. Maybe that was the point, but I would have felt more excited if the music was more of the focus. Overall, I would recommend this show. It was a lot of fun.

  • Tech Malfunction

by D. on 1/22/25Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - Virginia BeachRating: 2 out of 5

The actual singing was fine, but the multiple technology malfunctions were frustrating. I would not see this again.

  • Not what I expected

by Billy on 8/23/24Rating: 2 out of 5

Totally not what I expected…. It was an expensive way to watch the movie with some music.. Nothing stood out.. No dancing, no nothing.. No idea how this is still touring unfortunately…. If you wanna spend that money to watch a movie with live music, go right ahead..

My daughter and I went to see this. It was fun and relaxed. The music was great and crowd interactive. Would see it again!

  • Fun event

by Chris on 12/14/23Orpheum Theater - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5

I was one of the older ladies in the audience and enjoyed seeing the young gals around me sing the music from our teenage years. Patrick Swayze looked like a Greek God and could he dance up a storm!! Took me back several decades and it was really fun.
