  • Not a concert

by JEH on 4/11/25The Arena at Pickering Casino Resort - PickeringRating: 1 out of 5

This is NOT a concert. It’s a movie - with a band playing in the dark - they play the songs in the movie while the movie plays.

  • Pleasantly surprised

by Jb on 4/11/25The Arena at Pickering Casino Resort - PickeringRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I received the tickets as a Christmas gift, honestly thought it was a joke at first. Why would I want to see anything to do with Dirty Dancing? I was wrong, this was totally not what I expected....in a good way. Watching a movie with a live band was a new experience for me, very interesting. The band was great but it was the audience (mostly women) participation that made it awesome. It was funny to see and hear the woman's reaction to the scene's of the film. Like when Patrick Swayze first made his entrance, the dancing and of course "no one puts baby in the corner". My wife had a ball chatting it up with other women that she just met, they all had stories about the movie Dirty Dancing. This was a great way to spend the evening out, don't be closed minded like I was at first, it was a great time. The after party was fantastic as well, kudos to the band and singers, great job.

  • A Great Mother/Daughter Evening

by Lollipop on 4/8/25The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter and I have loved the movie Dirty Dancing since she was two years old (didn’t understand anything beyond the dancing!). This was a wonderful event and a very special night for us! It brought back so many good memories and was a lot of fun. The musicians and vocalists are so talented and it was hard to tell that they weren’t the original singers! Thanks for a great evening and a night that we will remember for a long time!

  • Dirty Dancing in concert - deceiving title

by Donita on 4/8/25The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Nice theather , bigger legroom compared to other theatres . I wasn’t expecting that it’s will be mainly watching the dirty dancing movie entirely and the band will just play whatever the background music on the movie . I thought this is more live singing and participation from audience rather than an entire movie . I honestly think it’s not worth the money to spend .

  • Wasn’t what I expected

by Tonesue on 4/8/25The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Although the musicians and singers are great unfortunately this fell short. If I wanted to watch a movie I would have stayed home ! This was not what expected. Best part was the 30 minutes after the completion

The show is so much fun. I would go back over and over to see it. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about going. We really hope we get to see it again.

  • Expected more

by A Belle on 4/8/25The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I definitely expected more, Dirty Dancing is an all time favourite of a lot of people, when we arrived the atmosphere was nice but the seating was confusing. I hoped to see more concert like options but it was just singing and viewing the movie! For the price that was paid I definitely thought there would have been more action to the show! We enjoyed our night nonetheless

  • Dirty Waste of Money

by JanT. on 4/7/25Coronado Theatre - RockfordRating: 1 out of 5

I expected a musical. Instead, I paid a lot to watch a 38 year old movie. What a waste of time and money.

  • Fun, nostalgic evening

by Betty on 4/4/25Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Was a unique experience. If you lovey Dancing, you would have loved this concert. The performers were amazing and entertaining. They did a great job at singing those old songs we all love from Dirty Dancing.

  • Was expecting more

by Ang on 4/4/25Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 2 out of 5

The band sounded amazing but i think the entire audience was expecting them to dance and do more singing than just every 20 mins for a song.

  • lack lustre

by dirtydancingfangirl on 4/4/25Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

The movie is 5 stars as it always has been. The live music does not add to the experience, in my opinion. The best part was watching the movie with several hundred people who would all swoon, cheer and laugh together throughout the movie.

  • Sunday Funday 💗

by Jennifer on 4/3/25Coronado Theatre - RockfordRating: 4 out of 5

Great show… thought it was going to be more of a musical but it was still good. Unfortunately we had an intoxicated man that sat near us that was very annoying and distracting. This was in the PIT seating. Otherwise it was an enjoyable experience.

  • Expected a little more

by JJ on 4/3/25Coronado Theatre - RockfordRating: 3 out of 5

I really thought there would be more of a stage performance during the movie. The band was very good tho, dressed in character, and the singers and sax player were great! So basically you watched the movie on the large screen, and the band played and sang the songs. Everyone seemed surprised there wasn't dancing to go along with the dances being performed in the movie. It was a fun event to go to, but could have been better.

  • Beyond Wonderful

by Cloneiowacity on 4/2/25Stephens Auditorium - AmesRating: 5 out of 5

I was not sure what to expect having seen the movie several times. I was overwhelmed with a live real band instead of the sound track, they played the music of our youth. It was a concert that followed the movie until the movie was done and came to life. The atmosphere was great people cheered for the good and booed the bad. This was an interactive experience but it not interfere with the movie, just made things better. Then the best part, when the movie was done. The band played the music except we were encouraged to clap along, sing along and dance. Thankfully CY Stephens has extra leg room so there was space to dance some. The band played to the audience and the audience gave them back energy. Over the last 60 years, we have been to a lot of great concerts but none of them left us with the huge smiles with the depth of our being.

  • DISAPPOINTED

by Pat on 4/2/25Coronado Theatre - RockfordRating: 1 out of 5

I can't believe that I paid $200.00 to watch a video of a Dirty Dansing movie with a handful of musicians and three singers who sang some songs during the playing of the movie. I also can not believe that the Coronado Theater actually picked such a misleading interpretation of a great movie. My wife and I were expecting actors to actually be dancing and singing to the movie. The singers were quite good but unfortunately it still was very disappointing. I have seen much better at local colleges for far less money.

  • Dirty Dancing

by GG on 4/2/25Coronado Theatre - RockfordRating: 2 out of 5

Was not happy about the price of the tickets for what we got, I could of watched the movie at home cheaper

  • Was a fun evening

by John on 4/1/25Stephens Auditorium - AmesRating: 4 out of 5

Was a fun evening. Sometimes it was hard to hear the movie and other times hard to hear the singing. The end of the show encore was very good.

  • Outstanding!
