  • Disappointed

by Pgpw on 4/17/25Casino Nova Scotia - The Bruce Guthro Theatre - HalifaxRating: 2 out of 5

I was disappointed that I was going to watch a movie that I’v seen a dozen times. Band was very good, great singers. It was a very expensive movie.

It wasn’t what I was expecting. I could’ve watched the movie on my tv. Couldn’t hear the people singing. Very disappointed

It was definitely not what I was expecting. If I wanted to watch a movie it cost me $25. I paid $75 to watch a movie that I’ve watched over and over again it was horrible.

  • Terrible

by Claresand on 4/15/25Molson Canadian Centre at Casino New/Nouveau Brunswick - MonctonRating: 2 out of 5

We feel cheated. At no time did the advertisements tell us that we would be watching a TV movie on a big screen. We paid top ticket prices expecting to experience a "live show"with dancing, singing and music. Without the dancing we may as well as been listening to a recording. In addition to the tickets, we traveled for 4 hours and paid over $200 for a hotel room. Overall, we spent about $400 to watch a DVD. I could go on but what would be the point. One of the worst experiences we have encountered in stage shows. No I stand to be corrected. The WORST.

  • I could watch the movie at home

by Yvette on 4/15/25Molson Canadian Centre at Casino New/Nouveau Brunswick - MonctonRating: 2 out of 5

It really wasn’t all that great. In fact we left during the intermission. Literally watching the movie and listening to the orchestra while the music was playing with the movie wasn’t great. This could have been much better. And the place was packed. Wasn’t worth the cost of the tickets in my opinion.

  • Not satisfied

by A disappointed customer on 4/15/25Molson Canadian Centre at Casino New/Nouveau Brunswick - MonctonRating: 1 out of 5

First, it was not what I expected. It was like watching the movie on a big screen. I thought it was going to be more a concert with a band but I was very disappointed. Second, the tickets were too expensive for a movie.

  • It was a movie not a concert

by Dirty Dancing fan on 4/13/25FirstOntario Concert Hall - HamiltonRating: 2 out of 5

I was disappointed with this concept. It wasn’t a concert it was a movie. I love the movie and have seen it probably 100 times. I assumed it would be more a musical or concert inspired by the movie not the actual movie. With less expensive tickets you could hardly see what’s on the screen and with more expensive ones it was not worth to pay the money to see the movie.

  • NOT WHAT IT SEEMS

by NOT WHAT IT SEEMS on 4/12/25FirstOntario Concert Hall - HamiltonRating: 1 out of 5

Definitely not what we thought it would be. Our group spent $310 on tickets to see a grainy version of dirty dancing on a projector screen with the “band” singing every 15 minutes when there was a song in the film. For half the movie the band members heads were blocking the screen. $62 each on tickets to watch a movie that came out 40 years ago and have performers that didn’t even look like they wanted to be there. We left after intermission. We expected a band playing the music of the film and actually performing, not standing there and singing a song once in a while. I actually can’t believe they charged people this amount of money.

  • Dirty Dancing in Concert

by Jamie on 4/12/25The Arena at Pickering Casino Resort - PickeringRating: 4 out of 5

Dirty Dancing in Concert was a great time - they played the movie on a big screen with a live band singing the songs on stage. Most of the songs were very authentic, sung just like in the movie. After the movie the band played more songs from the movie and did some dancing. I thought the screen was going to be bigger though, that was the only thing. But then I reminded myself it is not Cineplex. I was at the Pickering Casino Resort. Another issue was people would not stop getting up and going in and out if the theatre through the whole movie. I unfortunately ended up close to the doors so it was very distracting and annoying. Not sure why people can't stay seated for less than 2 hrs. And one of the staff actually started sweeping right infront of us while the movie was playing, during the first 30 minutes. Not sure why? Why wouldn't you do that during intermission? But other than people who could not sit still and who were causing distraction, the show was great! So glad I went. Got lots of pics. If you are a Dirty Dancing lover you should go for sure!
