I thought it took too long to get to the dinosaurs at the beginning. Also did not think an intermission was necessary. Looses kids attention and they don't want to go back in to watch the rest.

    Dinosaur Train Live

by glhmmom on 3/5/14Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

My son loved this play and I did as well. It was beautifully performed and the intermission was timed well for young children. My only mild complaint was the loudness of the event, but my son is sensitive to noise. So glad we went!!

    Super fun show

by xtinamartinson on 3/5/14Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

My son was THRILLED! I loved that the characters were puppets not people in costumes which is way less scary. Also, they sang all of the "hit" songs from the show and it was so fun to see the kids react.

Great fun for whole Dinosaur Train Fan Family!

by catchingfish on 3/5/14Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

This was a wonderful show for our family (2 1/2 year old, wife, and 5 month old)! It was just the right length (with a 10 minute intermission), had all our favorite songs, the puppet costumes were great (especially King Cryolofisaurus). the video screen and live action worked great together, and the time tunnel scenes were fun to be 'in.' Our only two critiques would be that the people actors at the beginning were a little over the top and lasted a little long, and a few of the voices were not the real thing (Buddy and Don). However, we really enjoyed The Conductor and the rest of the crew! Thanks for a great family outing. :)

    Dinosaur Train Live

More characters needed. Not much with special effects. Saved only by enthusiastic acting.

Dinosaur train was not educational nor fun

by Dinoblah on 3/5/14Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

Dinosaur train was not educational nor fun. The puppet part was distracting. There was no topic other than different dinosaurs. NOTHING like the show on PBS which, by the way, is fabulous.

    Enjoyable

by deems73 on 3/4/14Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

I had read the reviews for the show and they didn't seem positive. However, I wanted to expose my 2 year old to the theatre so I got tickets. It was wonderful! Someone said the costumes were distracting but they didn't really bother me. Actors are dressed in black and they are holding the dinosaurs and moving with them. Both my daughter enjoyed it. It was about 90 minutes long with a 10 minute intermission. A great way for children to learn about the theatre.

    Dinosaur Train Live was amazing.

by TerrijanaGamble on 3/4/14Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I loved being able to take my child to see Dinosaur Train Live. It was a great experience. They played all the best songs to sing along. They incorporated the audience along with the act. The puppets were big enough to see anywhere that you were sitting in the auditorium. Parking was great and Will Call was also. The attendants got us to our seats in a timely manner. The overall performance was amazing along with the amazing staff.

    4 year old enjoyment

by CarolinaTrombone on 3/4/14Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

My son loves Dinosaur Train. He watches it all the time. Our DVR is full of it. While I realize why the intermission was hard to keep his attention through and he got restless. He was fine with the show even though I didn't realize it would be more like puppets he enjoyed it. The loud confetti cannons at the end were a surprise and since he is petrified of loud noises it did scare him so it didn't leave the best of impressions. Possibly giving a warning this will happen at the end may be warranted.

    Stage & Characters

by surf9fisherman on 3/4/14Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

I felt the stage was too small to entertain the full cast of characters. The voice over for "King Dinosaur" was mostly unintelligible. Also, one of the cast members was absent. Buddy, Tiny and Shiny were on stage but Dawn was absent. The title for the show was "Buddy's Great Adventure" but the plot seemed to center around King Dinosaur instead.

Dinosaur Train-Enjoyed by my grandchildren and me!

by NewGma3 on 3/4/14Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

This performance was a great addition to the Dinosaur Train my grandchildren have been so excited about on Public Television. The "puppeteers" were so energetic and made the dinosaurs come to life. The actors (paleontologists) were dynamic and involved the audience. The scenery for the performance was very nice and stage managers/handlers moved them around in a very fluid way. Would highly recommend this program.

    Dinosaur Train Live

by anm704 on 3/4/14Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

It was very enjoyable, for my son and me. The lighting could have been a little better to try to hide the performers (they were a little distracting, I kept looking at them instead of the characters). But the performers did an great job, and the performers personality fit the characters they portrayed perfectly. Would definately go see it again.
