  • Deprture rocked Orlando!

We had great time at the House of Blues seeing Departure. It was our first time seeing them and they exceeded our expectations. They truely love the music they are playing almost like it were their own. It was so good to hear some of my favorites, especially the songs originally featuring Greg Rollie on vocals. If they play your town go see the show.

  • Departure, great Journey tribute band.

by DWCrisp on 7/7/13Orlando House of Blues - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Departure from Atlanta is a great journey tribute. Vocals, instrumentals are as good as Journey was live in the 80's. Lead singer can hit the Steve Perry hi notes even better! Guitarist is spot on, drummer kills it. Bass is a good showman, Keyboards is perfect and sings lead on the non Perry songs. Non stop music for over 2 hours. Hi energy, great showmen. Not too young, not too old. (I am not a paid spokesman!!) House of Blues-Great venue to have some good old rock and roll fun in a stand up cool place. Large rustic open wood floor, a couple of terraces about 4 steps up. Great view and sound from anywhere in the house. About 50 or so stools around the upper terrace. A balcony with seating that was open with seats for this show but isn't always. 3 full bars, fast service, great staff. (Beer is not cheap, it is Disney) Holds around 1500 or so. Intimate and with everyone standing there's no complaining about your spot or view. Located at downtown Disney with multiple restaurants around with great food and bars so a good place for a pre show or after show meal and drinks (or both!). This is the way Rock and Roll should be done! And for less than $15 !!
