Deon Cole is a comedian, writer, and actor, who can currently be seen in the critically acclaimed drama series, AVERAGE JOE, for BET+.
Deon can be seen in Jeymes Samuels' THE HARDER THEY FALL, for Netflix, opposite Idris Elba and Regina King. He can also be seen in Kenya Barris' YOU PEOPLE, for Netflix, opposite Eddie Murphy. Next up Deon stars in Amblin/Warner Bros. adaptation of THE COLOR PURPLE, opposite Taraji P. Henson and Colman Domingo, directed by Blitz Bazawule.
Deon can also be seen as Charlie on ABC's BLACK-ISH and Freeform's GROWNISH. For his work on BLACK-ISH, Deon won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series three times in a row at the 2020, 2021 & 2022 NAACP Image Awards. Previously, he starred as Detective Daniel "DJ" Tanner on the TBS comedy ANGIE TRIBECA opposite Rashida Jones, and co-starred in the Ice Cube led BARBERSHOP film series.
In standup, Deon recently released his latest one-hour special for Netflix, CHARLEEN'S BOY. His last special, COLE HEARTED, also for Netflix, was released in 2019 after the success of his appearance in Netflix's THE STANDUPS. His previous one-hour special, DEON COLE'S: COLE BLOODED SEMINAR was shot for Comedy Central. His stand-up documentary, WORKIN' IT OUT, debuted exclusively on Netflix is a Joke's Youtube channel, and has garnered 6 million views on social media, and over 2 million views on Youtube.

The venue was at the event center at the Sugar House Casino in Philadelphia. It was basically a big auditorium. They jammed a bunch of chairs in the room, no elevation, no additional monitors, so if you were in the back, you struggled to see the stage clearly. I won't see a show there anymore, but I will see Deon again!

They were just regular chairs that were next to each other. So, you really did not have your own individual space, and if you had some one sitting next to you how was more than a size 8, they were encroaching in your space. I will not go to another Deon Cole concert, and I will not go to another concert at Sugar House!
