Dennis DeYoung Tickets

Dennis Deyoung put on a fine energetic show, showcasing The Grand Illusion album followed by an intermission followed by Styx greatest hits. Mr Deyoung is in fine voice and the forty and fifty year old vocals sound as clean as the original. The reason for four stars rather than five was the fairly disagreeable sound mix.When Mr Deyoung sang with just his keyboard the sound was pristine. As soon as the band all joined in the vocals were lost in the mix. There were a group of audience members who approached some of his staff at intermission and it may have improved slightly. We came to hear Mr Deyoung so why not let us hear him?

We have seen Dennis many, many times over the years. We have been to see him every year for the past several years at the River City Casino. He puts on a good show, but it's pretty much the same show every year (including the same jokes). He's still very entertaining, and his voice still sounds good. The sound system seemed to be a little off this year, too. The singing sounded muffled, and not really clear. Not sure if I'd go see him again over there, but you never know. Anyway, if you haven't seen him ever, or even lately, it's worth it to go. Especially if you like Styx music.

Tell you what ,If you were any kind of styx fan, this concert is a must see . Dennis doesn't miss a beat. His band members were fantastic as well. My second time seeing the band in two years.

Small venue, there was great seats at all locations. The only negative I could say was it would had been better if the music was not as loud to hear the musicians better. Overall it was a very good concert.

At 73 he sounds great. Small venue, great sound. Love concerts here.

Great concert from the start to the end. 90 minutes of pure Rock and Roll and a twist of comedy. Dennis was awesome and his band members could easily pose as him. They had great tones and pipes.

Crowd could have been up on their feet more and the band wanted us to be... but we are getting older... I have seen multiple shows... Grand Illusion tour, Pieces of Eight tour, shows at River Port as well. All in all, excellent show. "Best place to see a concert in my opinion." Lead guitars... excellent. Not sure the gentleman's name who sang a couple songs but he did an excellent job as well. He was the guy from Alaska. Even commented to my son that he did well.

Amazing concert. It felt like we were sitting in an original Styx concert. One of the lead guitarists sung the songs of Tommy Shaw and he was incredible. Exceeded our wildest expectations.

Dennis DeYoung's voice is unreal. He can still out sing anyone in the current version of Styx or his contemporaries. Styx is his band. They would not have had the success they had if he hadn't been writing the songs and producing the albums. Today's Styx (or as I refer to them - the Dennis DeYoung cover band) couldn't put on a half-hour show without Dennis' songs. He had seven of their top ten hits (#1 - #7) and 16 of their 23 top 100 hits. HE is Styx, and he puts on a far superior show. Tommy Shaw and James Young just play loud to cover the fact that they can no longer sing (not that JY ever really could). This is back-to-back years seeing Dennis DeYoung and I won't hesitate to see him again. Off topic - Styx is not in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, AND THEY'VE NEVER BEEN NOMINATED!! All Styx fans need to call in to their local radio stations and start talking about Styx for the RnR HoF.

Music was excellent. There was an intimate feeling with the size of the room. Only negative were the lights at the back of the stage shining in your eyes which made it hard to watch the band. VERY distracting.

An overall wonderful experience. Vocals and music were on point. Humor was great. Interaction with fans was very nice. I will definitely attend again.

Dennis DeYoung is still quite the performer! His voice is strong and the music of Styx brought back great memories of my first concert in 1979! The members of the band are extreme talented! The event space at River City Casino was a perfect sized venue....just be sure you park on the complex so you don’t have to walk through the smoky casino!

Great show! His voice sounds incredible, at the age of 72! It was a 1980s Styx concert re-lived all over again!

This is our second time to see Dennis DeYoung at River City and we loved it both times. He sings like he hasn't aged, engages with the audience and we loved his band too.

I think he is good but for the price I could have gone to Judy:s lounge and watched a band foe free

Great show all the styx hits and Dennis is a real showman. Only he ca. Do Mr Roboto. Would see again and again. Saw at Jackson casino. Nice small venue
