Death Cab for Cutie was formed in Bellingham, WA in 1997 and almost immediately entered the ranks of the era's definitive bands, fueled in large part by the remarkable power of co-founder, lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Benjamin Gibbard's complex, often bittersweet songcraft. The band made their worldwide popular breakthrough with 2003's RIAA Platinum certified Transatlanticism, later named by NPR as one of "The Decade's 50 Most Important Recordings." Plans, their 2005 Atlantic Records debut, saw Death Cab for Cutie ascending to even greater heights, earning RIAA platinum certification and a GRAMMY® Award nomination for "Best Alternative Album" while spawning the chart-topping singles, "Soul Meets Body," "Crooked Teeth," and "I Will Follow You into the Dark," the latter of which was honored with a GRAMMY® nod for "Best Pop Performance By Duo Or Group With Vocals."

I'd been wanting to see DCFC for 20 years...they exceeded my expectations. Amazing concert!
Amazing performance, great venue, been following the band for years but first time i see then live, exceeded my expectations. Also 713 music hall is an awesome venue
Awesome band, nice new venue. Parking garage is kinda sketchy.
The venue was awesome and the show was incredible. Death Cab For Cutie showed up big with a great performance. I look forward to seeing them again.
Love the band, love their lyrics, love the music. But the stage performance is dullsville. Every song sounds like the album version. Technically accurate and sonically pleasing, but that’s it. Gibbons of course delivers everything with his typical non-stop metronomic energy, and as a fan I appreciate that, but the show is like eating at McDonald’s. You know what you’re going to get, you get what you expect, and the next day there’s nothing special to recall.
This was my first time at 713 music hall and it was such a great experience. I loved being on the general admission floor. It was a great energy at the concert, sound and lighting were beautiful, Death Cab for Cutie put on a great show playing lots of old favorites. Sang and danced all night!
Why aren’t they playing in Nashville …,………,……,,,..
Awesome show in a autumn rain! Love them! I saw their show for the first time.
The show happened during a rain storm, that being said, it wasn't too bad. The venue offered ponchos which was appreciated. Death Cab played for less than 1.5 hours, which was a bit of a disappointment, especially since they took an encore break. We paid for VIP tickets, but I am not sure what we really got except possibly better standing room location, and shorter lines. Bit of a disappointment, especially since this was a rescheduled show.
As usual, Death Cab brought it full on in in the rain, beginning with a lengthy intro to, “I Will Posses Your Heart” & great set in between, before ending with the crowd pleaser, “..Into the Dark” Bit of an oxymoron leading up to an elite Napa show/setting while simultaneously having to navigate circuitously around & under freeways-where I ended up having a dry, prime time view of the drummer & lead singer during the initial rain downpour to begin the set. Delighted D Cab finally made it all come together after postponing the show, despite the nights record rainfall & an Oxbow Theatre venue better suited for a cornfield in Iowa! lol
The show was originally scheduled for September 17. I was worried it was going to still be blazing hot. When it was rescheduled I was thinking it would be much more mild. Unfortunately, we had a somewhat historic storm starting the day of the show. The venue was nice and I plan on going to a show when the weather is more appropriate for concerts. Two minor nitpicks; The food selection was kind of lame with only two trucks got to choose between Mexican food A and Mexican food B. My other quibble is with the fact that the only non-alcoholic drinks available for monster, diet monster, and water. I just wanted a Pepsi.
Even in the heavy rain these dudes rocked the river stage
This is the third time that I've seen DCFC. The music, the lighting, and the sound were phenomenal at Vino Robles. The band was tight and had a great energy. The venue was clean, comfortable, and intimate. We traveled for seven hours to see the show and were not disappointed.
The band was excellent...played all the favorites! The sound at Vina Robles struggles with sound sometimes, but live music under the stars...who can complain!? Great show!
The venue is always one of our favorites. Great sound, great weather, great wine and great pizza. Death Cab for Cutie was fantastic. They played all their hits and some of their new songs. It all sounded great. The opening act, Hazel English was AWFUL. The band was good but her voice sounds like a whinny cat struggling to hang on to a tree limb. Several people around us were yelling for her to get off the stage.
Small, well-run, well-maintained venue -- there are no bad seats as everyone is close to the stage. Great performance by the band -- a solid 2 hours of playing time, high energy throughout. A great experience overall!
Vina Robles is a stunning venue and feels very intimate. Had we known how hard it would be to get a ride home though, we would've driven. Death Cab for Cutie put on a stellar performance. They are amazing musicians and put on a great show. The only bummer was that they didn't play as many of my old favorites as I was hoping for.
Great venue and great show by Death Cab for Cutie. Would definently recommend visiting this venue for an even4. Absolutely go see Death Cab for Cutie...they were phenomenal.
This was a beautiful night in a beautiful venue and maybe the best Death Cab concert I've been to (4 and counting). I loved it so much I ended up catching them again on this tour a few weeks later in Harrisburg. Well worth the ticket price since my memories from this concert are priceless and having these tickets lined up was am awesome way to start the summer.
Venue was easy to access. No line ups for bar service. Sound quality was reasonable. Death Cab played for 2.5 hours. Good interaction with fans. In summary, a great night
