DEAD & COMPANY IN CONCERT:
Deadheads rejoice! The Grateful Dead have been reborn as Dead & Company, delivering all the groovy vibes and extended jams fans know and love. Longtime Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart are joined by superstar singer/songwriter and accomplished blues guitarist John Mayer as they blend rock, folk, funk, jazz, and psychedelia to blow fans' minds with epic aural bliss. With their spacey instrumental interplay and awe-inspiring solos, the group organically weaves their way through audience favorites like "Truckin'", "Casey Jones", and "Fire on the Mountain". The long, strange trip is back on the road -- Dead & Company are bringing their positive energy and uncanny musical genius to ticket buyers everywhere.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The Grateful Dead were instrumental to the '60s psychedelic sound and hippie culture. Jerry Garcia (guitar/vocals), Bob Weir (guitar/vocals), Phil Lesh (bass/vocals), Bill Kreutzmann (drums), and Ron McKernan (keyboards/vocals) got things rolling in 1965. Excluding McKernan and Garcia, who died in 1973 and 1995 respectively, the core lineup has remained virtually unchanged sinc then. Many other musicians have helped shape the bandâs sound as well, especially second drummer Mickey Hart, who joined the Dead in 1967. The band toured excessively throughout the â70s, â80s, and â90s, famously playing sets that exceeded the three-hour mark. After Garcia's death the group soldiered on, continuing to build their legacy through fearless sonic exploration. It was not until their 50th anniversary in 2015 that the Grateful Dead decided to retire their name. Fortunately for fans, their retirement was short-lived as pop singer/songwriter and blues guitarist extraordinaire John Mayer brought Weir, Hart, and Kreutzmann back out for more legendary jam sessions. Dead & Company continues in the Dead's spontaneous and inventive musical tradition -- just the way Deadheads like it.

Solid performance in one of the greatest venues. The best goodbye to a great band.
They were unbelievably amazing. Killed it for the crowd gathered to celebrate their everlasting incredible existence. Nothing but love and smiles!
Went to the first two shows, and was not disappointed: a great sendoff for this incarnation
A tremendous treat from the Forum all the way through to the finale on Sunday đ¤
Venue needed more bathrooms! Venue needed more bathrooms! Venue needed more bathrooms!
Such a great show! I expected it to be great but didn't expect it to be this spectacular. Sound was amazing, Shakedown Street was awesome, getting in and out of Oracle was super easy. Everyone there was such a good time, loved the energy of the whole place. Love Bob's hat (good look on him) and John Mayor nailed Terrapin Station!
Fantastic Shows, After 50 Years for Me I Couldn't be Happier. I'm Sad for the End but so Happy It's been part of my Life for so Long.
The Show was as expected----great! Loved the experience, easy in and easy out of the Ballpark, Food was great (lots of choices), I have nothing negative to say and wouldn't change a thing......... I wish we could all gather and do it again!
Caught the last 2 nights in SF. INCREDIBLE. LIFE CHANGING. Hope they come back soon with a similar lineup.
The premium seats I recd in my travel package were restricted viewing seats. I had to go each night of 3 to ask to be relocated. Stood in a long line each night as others had issues. Second night the relocated tickets had no seats they were wheel chair access. Lol back to the end of the line again. So glad I spent the extra money for the premium reserved. Donât even get me started on the premium travel package through 100x hospitality. Lesson learned.
Great music Great venue Great fans Great service Wonderful party every night!! Best time ever!!! Fantastic lineup!!!!! Drones were a beautiful treat!!! Used rockmed Saturday night and they were absolutely amazing!!! It was our son and daughter in laws first ever Dead and Company event. They finally get it!! They were super glad to be there, and at the same time sad to only have had this only opportunity to experience them and all the fans only once. My first every experience with the Grateful Dead was 30 years ago at shoreline! It was me and my husbandâs first official date! This weekend was a celebration of 30 years together. We brought our 2 oldest grandkids (14 & 11) Friday night. We brought our son and daughter-in-law on Saturday night, and it was just me and my husband Sunday night. The best way to celebrate 30 years together!! 4 kids and 5 grandkids later!!! First time ever at Oracle! Beautiful experience!!! The entire weekend was quite an incredible journey!!! So much fun!!!
Loved the show. Only regrets is I did not hear One More Saturday night on Saturday night and we could not afford tickets to Friday or Sundays shows they were amazing also.
Just the best time with rhe best people on Earth. Come for the show but experience the city.
The staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant as well. I felt like the venue has not one bad seat to offer. As well the only problem for me was that the sodas and beverage prices were absolutely outrageous.
Dead and Co put on a show like no other. Itâs not a concert, itâs an experience and Iâm glad I got on the bus.
This was a great rockin' Dead show! I was happy to be a part of the final tour at the final destination. John Mayer has been such a fantastic lead!!!!! We will miss them!
I think the venue is beautiful, band was great. Could have done one more encore, which there was a surprise guest artist like they did in CO. Food was good inside the venue. Not much outside and the GA admission was a nightmare. People were in line in the hot sun. San Francisco needs to get their act together on outside venues of restaurants and bars near the stadium. People do not want to pay $$$ for cans of beer inside. Wrigley Field in Chicago serves this purpose for before and after dining and bars. Brats outside vendors looked gross and were the only food available. Bathrooms were decent.
The three show run had many high moments with excellent song selection. The musicianship was outstanding and even had moments reminiscent of the original Grateful Dead - especially the interlocking sandwich of songs and reprises on Saturday night's show. John Mayer and Oteil Burbridge added their own styles of play and Jeff Chimenti kept the improvisations going on and on. Jay Wolf was a pretty good replacement for Bill Kreutzman, and of course, Bobby and Mickey brought in the GD energy. The venue was a great place to see the show, but there were shortcomings. No running lights in the aisles and challenging handicapped access were a problem. On the lower deck, the movement of people was restricted by lines for food, souvenirs and the toilets. It was less than ideal. The Shakedown Street areas outside the venue were also too packed to move around, much less enjoy shopping. The worst part was the sausage gauntlet outside the park. Between them and the balloon sellers a person's ability to move was hampered. The funniest part after the Sunday show was a driverless car on Third Street, trying to interpret thousands of Deadheads wandering (and stumbling) around on the road. It was stopped, and all of the cars behind it were blocked. There ain't no algorithm for that I suppose. So good luck to all of the Deadheads on the lookout for another tour and Keep on Truckin' WALSTIB!
Amazing final shows! They really gave it their all. I hope to see the music come back with another incarnation of the Dead.
