David Spade on Tour

David Spade is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, talk show host, and television personality with razor-sharp sarcasm that will leave you in stitches. He's best known for his performances on "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) and hilariously endearing role in Joe Dirt (2001) -- a film he both starred in and co-wrote. Other box office hits from Spade's film career include popular titles like Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003), The Benchwarmers (2006), Grown Ups (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013), and The Do Over (2016). In 2020, he was a People's Choice Award nominee for Favorite Comedy Movie Star in the film The Wrong Missy (2020). On the small screen, Spade received one Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations for his work playing the wise-cracking assistant, Dennis Finch, in the American sitcom "Just Shoot Me!" He also starred in the beloved CBS comedy "Rules of Engagement," joined the cast of "8 Simple Rules," co-wrote the screenplay and performed voiceovers on MTV's "Beavis and Butt-Head," and hosted "The Showbiz Show with David Spade." Later, he became the host of Comedy Central's "Lights out with David Spade." Over the years, Spade has entertained viewers with his self-deprecating humor and outrageous wit as the host of the Teen Choice Awards and the Spike Video Game Awards, and made guest appearances on sitcoms like "The Goldbergs" and reality TV programs such as "Bachelor in Paradise." Now, you can enjoy a no-holds-barred night of laughter with tickets to David Spade live on tour as he returns to the slapstick stand-up comedy that first made him famous.

David Spade Live

A natural prankster born on July 2, 1964, Arizona native David Spade started doing stand-up while he was young with his family and friends urging him onto the stages of bars, theaters and campuses across the country. He performed in Arizona State's long-running sketch comedy show multiple times, where he attended school as a fraternity member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He also got experience delivering laughs at Greasy Tony's Pizza during the Monday night comedy shows in the mid-'80s. In 1990, Spade took his comedy career to the next level when he joined the crew of "Saturday Night Live" -- first as a writer, then quickly making his way up to cast member. Shortly after his television debut on SNL, Rolling Stone dubbed him "Hot Stand-Up Comedian of the Year." Over the next five years, Spade would become a household favorite, well-known and loved for his comedic persona. He built his unique brand of sarcasm through skits like "Hollywood Minute" and "Total Bastard Airline" until eventually leaving the cast in 1996. His venture into film and television thereafter was immediately successful, earning himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by 2003.

  • Disappointed

Feel that the show was “called in” . There was no real connection with the audience. Material was not ready and in some areas not current. Still doing Covid jokes in 2024? There was absolutely no Joe Dirt character or references even though it is billed as the Joe Dirt Bus tour. We attend a lot of shows and could tell David wanted to be anywhere but here . Definitely not recommend.

Honestly, the first act was the only funny act. David spade acted like he didn’t want to even be there. The show was SHORT. I felt like I deserved a refund. I was stunned. We were so excited for this show and I felt like no planning went into the act. The lackluster, lackadaisical performance led me to believe that he has no desire to actually perform in Asheville.

  • Awesome Comedy Show

David Spade Was Amazing!! Very Funny 😂😂 Comedy Show. Spade Did A lot Of New Material and Even though I was Hoping To Hear a Few SNL Jokes…His New Comedy Is Just As Funny!!

  • Very Funny

by Dracula's Girl on 7/1/24Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 4 out of 5

Good show, very funny! There was no information about opening acts, I do wish Ticketmaster would give more details about the shows they sell. They certainly have the money to do so. But I digress. Spade was funny. The first act was awful, not very funny at all. The second act was funny and a great opener for Spade. Spade's show could've been a little longer but overall very funny. The venue is perfect except it's so hot in there. We roasted.

  • Didn’t stop laughing

by Rixp on 6/30/24Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

It felt less like he had a “set” and more that he just told us funny stories “off the cuff” during his time. I know he had a list of things he could talk about but it doesn’t feel rehearsed or stiff. Either way, he had me in tears laughing throughout the whole night. If I had to sum up the evening: he was hilarious, he was on stage longer than most and it was definite bucket list to see him.

  • Great event

My husband wanted tixs for his birthday and we had a great night! Very funny with lots of laughter. Thought David was great as were the opening acts. We would totally come again!

  • To much filler. Not enough Spade

by Jujubean on 6/30/24Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 2 out of 5

Show started late. He had 2 opening comics that were mediocre. Spade came out at 9:00 pm and was gone in 50 minutes. What the hell !! I paid for a show not a drive by Love David Spade but not his best work.

David Spade aka Spudly, has always been one of the best comedians. The story about Bobby and the ambulance had me rolling.

by Jenni on 6/5/24North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Love David Spade! He's as funny as ever! My sister and I had a great time, laughing at his legendary, dry humor and demeanor! The only thing missing was a chance to share a drink and more laughs with him! That would have been a dream come true!! 😀

  • I’ve had much better

by Jamie on 6/5/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 2 out of 5

The David Spade comedy show was.. meh. The audio at the theater was terrible, and I couldn’t hear a lot of what was being said. I gather that this was a common complaint. I did have a couple good laughs, so it wasn’t like the show was a total bust. But the audio really sucked.

  • Great Show!

Fun evening but too much noisey laughter made Spade's punch lines hard to hear.

  • I'm still laughing...

by Dan on 6/5/24North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

David Spade and the accompanying comedians were very engaging with the audience and really kept us involved and wanting more. There were so many funny jokes and stories that I couldn't keep them all straight. I have been a David Spade fan for ever and never had the opportunity to see him until this show. I spent the extra money to be near the front and it was worth every penny. What a true professional and outstanding entertainer.

  • Freakin Hilarious!

by Dugganator on 6/4/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 5 out of 5

I wanted more ! He is so funny! He could talk about grass growing and it would humorous! I want to hang out with him. I'd bid 50,000 by accident to make that happen. A+++

  • Terrible acoustics.

by Disappointed fan on 6/4/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 1 out of 5

Both opening acts and David Spade had terrible acoustics as you could not hear them. Row M center right were great seats however the acoustics in this theater were terrible. Many people leaving the event also shared this same feeling. What a waste of time and money attending this show.

  • Couldn’t hear

by Nick on 6/4/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 1 out of 5

Love David spade unfortunately the echo was so bad where we were sitting that we couldn’t make out what he or his openers were saying. We ended up leaving the row in front of us left too. The seats were in orchestra left.

  • Sound issues

by Dw62 on 6/4/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 2 out of 5

Comedians were good. Sound was not great in the venue. Hard to hear.
