David Spade on Tour
David Spade is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, talk show host, and television personality with razor-sharp sarcasm that will leave you in stitches. He's best known for his performances on "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) and hilariously endearing role in Joe Dirt (2001) -- a film he both starred in and co-wrote. Other box office hits from Spade's film career include popular titles like Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003), The Benchwarmers (2006), Grown Ups (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013), and The Do Over (2016). In 2020, he was a People's Choice Award nominee for Favorite Comedy Movie Star in the film The Wrong Missy (2020). On the small screen, Spade received one Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations for his work playing the wise-cracking assistant, Dennis Finch, in the American sitcom "Just Shoot Me!" He also starred in the beloved CBS comedy "Rules of Engagement," joined the cast of "8 Simple Rules," co-wrote the screenplay and performed voiceovers on MTV's "Beavis and Butt-Head," and hosted "The Showbiz Show with David Spade." Later, he became the host of Comedy Central's "Lights out with David Spade." Over the years, Spade has entertained viewers with his self-deprecating humor and outrageous wit as the host of the Teen Choice Awards and the Spike Video Game Awards, and made guest appearances on sitcoms like "The Goldbergs" and reality TV programs such as "Bachelor in Paradise." Now, you can enjoy a no-holds-barred night of laughter with tickets to David Spade live on tour as he returns to the slapstick stand-up comedy that first made him famous.
David Spade Live
A natural prankster born on July 2, 1964, Arizona native David Spade started doing stand-up while he was young with his family and friends urging him onto the stages of bars, theaters and campuses across the country. He performed in Arizona State's long-running sketch comedy show multiple times, where he attended school as a fraternity member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He also got experience delivering laughs at Greasy Tony's Pizza during the Monday night comedy shows in the mid-'80s. In 1990, Spade took his comedy career to the next level when he joined the crew of "Saturday Night Live" -- first as a writer, then quickly making his way up to cast member. Shortly after his television debut on SNL, Rolling Stone dubbed him "Hot Stand-Up Comedian of the Year." Over the next five years, Spade would become a household favorite, well-known and loved for his comedic persona. He built his unique brand of sarcasm through skits like "Hollywood Minute" and "Total Bastard Airline" until eventually leaving the cast in 1996. His venture into film and television thereafter was immediately successful, earning himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by 2003.
He was so so funny! I was laughing out loud the entire show.
Absolutely amazing!!! We’ve always loved him… we were scared this event would change our opinion for the worst! Opposite! We LOVE him! Hope to see him again soon… his standup was the BEST!
The show was absolutely fantastic. Obviously, he’s very bunny but his body language and mannerisms are so much fun to watch and his storytelling abilities are unmatched. Everything about the show was fantastic and I would highly suggest for anyone who likes David Spade even a bit.
If you think you’re a fan of David Spade, go to his show! He’s a 10! My friends and I laughed hysterically throughout the entire bit. His characters came through in his personality. His delivery was naturally eloquent and not over rehearsed. I’d go back in an instant if his tour co tinies near my home. He's a 10, but, he left me wanting more!
Yes, Spade was funny, but he worked from a script, and did some of the same bits that I had heard before on his various podcasts. The two other comedians with him were great! There was no announcement that you couldn't take photos at the performance, yet security stopped you if you tried. If no photos were allowed during the show, the least they could have done was stand on stage and let fans take a pic at the end, instead the comedians stood with their backs to the audience and took a picture of the group for their own purposes.
David Spade is always funny to me. I really enjoyed the show and I would see him again!
Very funny as usual. We drove from out of state to see him and it was worth it. His story telling always leaves you laughing!
Everyone was hilarious! Enjoyed the entire show. Both opening acts were great. I most definitely would like to see David Spade again. It was always hard to tell if his jokes really did happen to him. Keep it real!
David Spade is one of few comedians I would go see again. He’s a natural.
We've loved David Spade in so many things and have watched his career and laughed along the way. We were so excited to see him in person, but should have stayed home and watched another rerun of Rules of Engagement. When he mentioned 'what else is in the headlines' and proceeded to tell jokes about Covid and Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's trial we could have left and missed the parking lot crowd.
I think the show was too short and not that enjoyable. The opening was just ok and he performed for less than 45 minutes. I am a huge fan of movies and shows he’s in but had higher hopes for the show.
The venue is old and in disrepair. Absolutely no air conditioning. Comics were decent, but felt it was cute short. Even the performers were making comments about the venue and the heat. Will not return to this venue.
Great show. Other comedians were very good as well.
He’s an icon. Love him always and forever. I’m sooo glad I took the chance to see him perform. But the jokes were somewhat funny, and the delivery didn’t really grab my attention. Personally, I almost felt as though he didn’t really want to be there. Again, glad I had the experience to see him and love him forever.
I was so looking forward to this show. It was sadly not what I was expecting. Very old jokes, it's currentky late June 2024, why are you talking about Johnny Depp & Amber Heard and getting the first covid shot. How about putting some effort into some new material. A couple of things he said made me giggle, but that's about the extent of it.
First off, can events start at the time that is listed on my ticket? Ticket said 8pm, no one even came out until 8:20pm. Two openers was too much. David Spade’s act was not as funny as I thought it would be. Talked about subjects that were way in the past, such as Titan sub. I guess I never really watched his stand-up and just knew him from movies and tv.
We had a bad experience. The venue was hot and the ushers "swarmed"us when David Spade walked on stage because we "couldn't take pictures."This was never communicated and the surprise from the usher really put a damper on our evening. Several couples felt the same way and left the show. I didn't pay for front-row seats to be treated like that. No one who paid for a ticket should have been treated like that.
Larry the Cable Guy beat Spade by a long shot! The best thing at this event was the hotdogs. All 3 comedians threw off on the city of Asheville. Pathetic.
I've seen David Spade once in stand up and he was hilarious. This show however was horrible. The two opening acts were so bad I wanted to leave then, but I know how funny Spade was. He got out there, honestly acting like he didn't want to even be there, and proceeded to tell old jokes. Doing a Johnny Deep trial jokes.... I left probably half way thru his set, was a complete waste of money.
When I saw David Spade put Joe Dirt in his comedy tour name, I assumed he would hit some Joe Dirt talking points. He hardly touched on the subject, and when he did it was because audience members yelled and quoted the movie. He made fun of their comments, and said he would talk about Joe Dirt towards the end, and didn’t. It was kind of a let down. I expected more to be honest.
