David Spade on Tour

David Spade is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, talk show host, and television personality with razor-sharp sarcasm that will leave you in stitches. He's best known for his performances on "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) and hilariously endearing role in Joe Dirt (2001) -- a film he both starred in and co-wrote. Other box office hits from Spade's film career include popular titles like Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003), The Benchwarmers (2006), Grown Ups (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013), and The Do Over (2016). In 2020, he was a People's Choice Award nominee for Favorite Comedy Movie Star in the film The Wrong Missy (2020). On the small screen, Spade received one Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations for his work playing the wise-cracking assistant, Dennis Finch, in the American sitcom "Just Shoot Me!" He also starred in the beloved CBS comedy "Rules of Engagement," joined the cast of "8 Simple Rules," co-wrote the screenplay and performed voiceovers on MTV's "Beavis and Butt-Head," and hosted "The Showbiz Show with David Spade." Later, he became the host of Comedy Central's "Lights out with David Spade." Over the years, Spade has entertained viewers with his self-deprecating humor and outrageous wit as the host of the Teen Choice Awards and the Spike Video Game Awards, and made guest appearances on sitcoms like "The Goldbergs" and reality TV programs such as "Bachelor in Paradise." Now, you can enjoy a no-holds-barred night of laughter with tickets to David Spade live on tour as he returns to the slapstick stand-up comedy that first made him famous.

David Spade Live

A natural prankster born on July 2, 1964, Arizona native David Spade started doing stand-up while he was young with his family and friends urging him onto the stages of bars, theaters and campuses across the country. He performed in Arizona State's long-running sketch comedy show multiple times, where he attended school as a fraternity member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He also got experience delivering laughs at Greasy Tony's Pizza during the Monday night comedy shows in the mid-'80s. In 1990, Spade took his comedy career to the next level when he joined the crew of "Saturday Night Live" -- first as a writer, then quickly making his way up to cast member. Shortly after his television debut on SNL, Rolling Stone dubbed him "Hot Stand-Up Comedian of the Year." Over the next five years, Spade would become a household favorite, well-known and loved for his comedic persona. He built his unique brand of sarcasm through skits like "Hollywood Minute" and "Total Bastard Airline" until eventually leaving the cast in 1996. His venture into film and television thereafter was immediately successful, earning himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by 2003.

  • Better then expected..

David Spade was part of some of the best years of SNL and of course Tommy Boy is such a classic. However, I wasn’t sure what to expect from his standup. He did not disappoint. He is such a pro and his comedy comes so easy and naturally. I laughed till I cried!

  • Not bad, but not great!

by Bret on 3/26/24Orpheum Theater - New OrleansRating: 3 out of 5

It was a decent show. Opening acts could have been better, then again, Spade could’ve been better too! Haha All in all it was a good time, definitely not as great as some of the other acts we have been to but still fun.

  • Fantastic show- Classic Spade

by Bernadette on 3/26/24Orpheum Theater - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

He was classic David Spade, hilariously sarcastic. He also had a little improvisation based on things that took place during the show. The two openers were also fantastically funny. I could have watched all of them all night.

  • Disappointed

by NytoNc on 3/19/24Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 1 out of 5

The auditorium was great. The beverages and snacks were great. The seating process was flawless. The performance however was disappointing. For the short time that Mr. Spade performed, I’m glad it wasn’t longer. He seemed distracted and unenthusiastic. Not what I expected.

The opening acts were great and made an impact even before David came out. I was so excited to see David live and it didn’t disappoint. His mannerisms and timing are so good that every sentence makes you laugh even when it wasn’t the punch line. Excellent composition and performance!

  • Awesome Show

by Katester on 3/17/24Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to a few standup shows lately, and this one was by far the best. No stupid intermission, no stupid merchandise plugs, no vainglorious comments. Just fun and laughs. The warm-up comics were great too.

  • Non political!

by apparition on 3/5/24Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Really appreciated the humor without all the bashing of either political side.

  • So good!

Spade is still as funny as ever, I’d sit and listen to him talk about anything! He has been entertaining us for 30 years- makes for a great date night!

  • David Spade was on fire in San Diego!

by Marty Addison on 3/5/24Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

My sexy wife and I enjoyed David's witty, sarcastic and self-deprecation delivery and well crafted humor! He's a true professional of his trade!

  • Great night. Great comedian

Could have been longer with David Spade the female comedian was very funny. Should have had some merchandise like a shirt. Otherwise good.

  • It was okay

by LTCWife on 1/29/24Muckleshoot Casino Events Center - AuburnRating: 3 out of 5

Show started late (around 830, 845) and ended early (we were back in our car at a little before 10). DS looked like he had just rolled out of bed, and his material was about things that happened ages ago. His first opener was fine, and Wendy Liebman was fantastic. The room wasn't great in terms of seating, though it was nice to look at. So decent show, quite funny at timed, but I'm not sure it was worth the 45-minute drive in the pouring rain.

  • Katherine Blanford was amazing

by JT on 1/2/24Rating: 5 out of 5

David was David as usual, but the real star was Katherine Blanford. Overall a great show.

  • Dave Was Great

    by Mel S on 12/10/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Dave’s opener Katherine Blanford was awful, typical white guilt/anti-white jokes, the desire of these comedians to ingratiate themselves to blacks & try unnaturally to appease blacks is sickening, the blacks in the audience were cringing, the laughs she got were charity laughs, the second guy Johnny was awesome & Dave was Great !!

  • Hilarious!

by A Baltimore Girl on 12/6/23The Lyric - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the David Spade comedy show, he was hysterical! I highly recommend. I just wish it was longer, he was only on stage for about an hour. Had 2 opening acts. But he certainly headlined, he came on stage with confidence and a presence, and blew me away. So funny!

  • Great show!

Very good venue. David Spade and his 2 openers were very good

  • Recycled jokes

    by B Buck on 12/4/23The Lyric - BaltimoreRating: 3 out of 5

David Spade is a natural, highly charismatic. But he used too many of his Netflix special jokes. Still entertaining though.
